Planet notice:
Citizens of C-102, the grace period is over, the following are now in effect:
Dungeon monsters and roaming monsters are now a part of this planet Loots and coins are now part of rewards for slaying monsters (check the archailect system for more details) Zones are now divided into sectors; each sector will be opened up to other sectors once they defeat the crisis event Crisis event refers to a steady wave of monsters that would attack any settlement from the lowest level permitted in that zone to the highest permitted in that zone Waves come with a wave boss that needs to be vanquished before the wave stop Wave bosses are ten levels higher than the level of the beasts that attack your walls For any dungeon boss killed, cores will be dropped to create a stronghold Citizens of C-102 can now access the sector communication system and after defeating their crisis, the zone communication system Due to certain circumstances, no colonization by citizens from the collective of planets in the archailect would be permitted for the next 30 days Additional exp and aether shards will be dropped due to these circumstances Level of aether on planet C-102 has been increased May the archailect strengthen you all.
Moyo sat down as he processed the information, the inhabitants of bastion already chatting away, some in some sort of relief that the aliens were not to land for another thirty days, others in fright about the coming crisis event. Mrs. Martha and the rest had already begun sifting through the systems interface, trying to find information as regards the issue when a roar got everyone’s attention, with two-dimension steps and a short spatial walk, Moyo appeared at the top of the crystal wall to see hordes of mutated weird monsters rampaging through the forests and hills. A spatial walk to the bottom of the wall, he walked up to Annika and the rest,
“We need to go into overdrive now,” he said with all seriousness,
A notice appeared on his Hud and if he was right, everyone else's as they all had that distant look in their eyes,
Sector notice:
Citizens of bastion on sector 1 of the yellow zone, your crisis begins now. Once every week a horde of monsters would break out of a dungeon and assault your walls, until you can destroy them all and vanquish the wave boss, the waves of monsters would keep increasing till they overrun your walls, Good luck.
As the people began to panic Moyo released a wave of his realm, eyes steeled as he grinned out to them,
“This is it, I’m not good with words, but out there is our enemy, now you could look at it two ways, either as monsters out to kill us, or experience points to help us advance on the path to power, as for me” he started as he withdrew dominion from his spatial rip, feeling it hum in glee, feeling his intent swirl around the blade.
“I’m going out there to advance, if we’re to be the backbone humanity would rely on, then we need to get stronger, a lot stronger,” he said grinning as he broke into a run, blasting forward as he could hear Josh shouting orders,
With a dimension step, he appeared back on the crystal wall, jumping in the air and opening a spatial rip, passing through and appearing right in the middle of the horde as he opened another rip. Normally anyone would be dead as the wave of monsters focused on his presence, his draconic body went to work immediately, absorbing hits after hits. Unleashing his realm to the fullest, moyo activated the gravity in his realm as the monsters in the area of his realm got crushed to the ground, growling as the level 50 to 55 monsters withstood the gravity attack. Raising his hand, he gathered his intent into blades, hundreds of them, and with a roar he drove them down, cutting into any form of monsters in the area of his realm, his core draining slowly but surely.

Breathing in he jumped back with a dimension step to the walls of bastion, standing between the city and the waves of monsters that kept coming out of the forest, gripping his katana tighter, he grinned, this wasn’t half as much as the brutality he took from ajax. As his notifications began pouring in, he heard a loud voice,
“Does the lord of bastion need help?”
Turning up to look at the top of the wall Moyo grinned, Josh the head of the guard’s protecting bastion stood amongst a line of warriors that grinned down at him with the newly minted power of a path,
“Nah, I’m good, acolyte and all” Moyo replied, cutting a monster to two,
“Nevertheless, the sentinel corps won’t let you hog all the points boss!” Josh shouted,
Moyo grinned, catchy name
“Your levels are too low to battle them, when I unleash my realm, strike them with all you got, I’ll hold them down,” Moyo said,
“You heard the boss! go earn the thousand gold invested in your path!” Josh growled in his best military voice as Moyo winced, calculating how much gold was splurged into getting the fifteen sentinels he could observe jumping down from the wall.
Unleashing his realm again and holding down the monsters, the sentinel corps unleashed their full might on the monsters with…swords? Moyo didn’t have the time to wonder where they got it from, probably the warehouse. His mind was calculating the different paths this battle could go, he could go straight for the wave boss and end this wave, but he would be denying the corps and every other person that wanted to grow stronger as more monsters poured out of the forests in a never-ending amount. He could drag this battle on and on, his body and endurance up for it, and from what he could see of the sentinel corps so could they, but if the rest of bastion decided they would have no hand in the battle, then he’d have no choice than to close the battle quickly.
Three people dropped close to him, glancing to see Idris, Annika, and Ayo at his sides,
“you guys want in on the fun?” he said jokingly to them,
“just enough to get us advancing to acolyte and beyond, can’t let you get farther from us now can we?” Annika said grinning at him,
Moyo watched as Annika shouted up to the wall,
“bastion mage corps! will we let these sentinel blockheads get all the experience?”
“there’s a mage corps too?” Moyo asked astonished as a chorus of shouts and different sorts of elemental attacks came flooding down in front of them, Moyo using his realm to both shield the sentinel corps and his team from the attacks as well as hold down the monsters for the sentinel corps to wreak havoc on them,
“They haven’t chosen paths yet, just a rag tag of classes” Annika replied,
“Stay close to me then, i intend to drag out this battle till everyone are in their thirties when it comes to levels, might as well milk this wave till everyone runs out of endurance,” Moyo said,
“Fine by me” Idris growled as he tightened his fists and took a brawlers stance, Ayo nocked an arrow from the bunch she had in her quiver, nodding also,
“let’s get to work then,” Moyo said grinning,
Minutes changed into hours, Moyo and his team, the sentinel corps, and the mage corps wreaking lines after lines of monsters. They followed the same process, destroy, gather aether shards and the series of loots that dropped such as monster skins, uncommon classed weapons, and as usual the silver coins that trickled into their Hud. He began to notice the corps faltering, an attack here and there passing through their tight defense as Josh growled at them to hold the line, Annika had her spear broken, grabbing two more from the loot she got as she channeled lightning through them, Idris had his skin covered with the blood of monsters he had bashed, a pair of uncommon gauntlets in his arms that were slick with blood also but showing signs of dents and finally Ayo who had run out of arrows but stabbing at monsters with a pair of knives.

With a roar Moyo gathered intent blades and laid wastes to the monsters around bastion, gasping as he caught his breath, everyone else falling to the ground with exhaustion. Watching as more monsters began coming out of the forests, he turned to them all,
“Sentinels, get your asses into bastion, Annika, Idris, Ayo, I’m going after the boss, we need to move now” he growled,
“We? are we a team now?” Annika said with a raised eyebrow as Moyo scratched his head, the chain linking his katana to his hand dangling,
“well- “he stuttered,
Truly he hadn’t known when he had started considering them a team, but if he was to attain his goal, he needed to be strong, his team needed to be strong, and bastion needed to be strong. Idris clapped his shoulder, Moyo wincing as blood splattered on him,
“I’d be proud to call you brother,” he said to Moyo
Ayo just waved, muttering “what he said”, Moyo nodded,
“Alright, let’s get to it” he replied,
“Mage corps keep firing, sentinels see if you can keep gathering aether shards and absorbing into your cores while supplying the mage corps,” Moyo said to the mages on the wall and Josh who nodded, jogging back along with his team of sentinels to the crystal wall that cracked open in the middle to let them in,
“Follow me as fast as you can, I’ll clear a path for you ahead, I’m guessing the wave boss is behind wherever these fuckers are coming from,” Moyo said as they nodded,
With a dimension step and a blade of the titan attack, Moyo ripped a straight line through the monsters, unleashing his realm in a straight line to push away any monster from his path, dimly aware that his team was hot on his heels, and from the way they moved, he was guessing they were close to the initiate stage. Tearing through the trees in a flash he came out into a clearing where monsters poured out of what looked like a spatial rip, a notification appearing on his Hud,
Temporal dungeon:
This temporal dungeon houses the wave boss who guards the portal to the main dungeon where the crisis boss resides, upon entry, you are not allowed to leave till you kill the wave boss. After that, you will be expelled out of the temporal dungeon to await the next wave
“you guys seeing this?” Moyo asked as they caught up to him, slightly out of breath,
“Yeah,” Idris said,
“Ready?” he asked as they nodded,
With that he jumped into the dungeon, feeling a slight resistance before landing and rolling to a stop, realizing he had fallen into a volcanic landscape, Moyo smiled to himself, bring up his stats screen to see he had gotten to level 60, assigning his whole 100 points to his endurance bringing it up to 1212, noting just a slight feeling of feeling refreshed. The rest tumbled in, crouching close to Moyo,
“Now would be a good time to add those attribute points to your tables, what level are you?” he asked quietly,
“29,” Annika said,
“27” Idris muttered
“26” Ayo finished,
“Well, welcome to the initiate stage, might I suggest adding to your endurance cause from what I’m guessing, the boss is going to be crazy hard to fight, lava and all” Moyo said,
They all nodded as they had a far away look in their eyes, calling up their stat screen. Moyo turned back as he watched the volcanic ash from afar, studying the area around the mountain where lava poured down from a volcano covered with ashen dark clouds masking it hard to see the top. A tap on his shoulder drew his attention back, glancing to see Annika staring at him,
“we’re ready,” she said,
With a nod Moyo stood straight as he stepped to the bottom of the mountain when a roar shook the mountain and lava began shooting out, falling towards them,
Notice!
The dungeon boss is aware of your presence, prepare to battle!
“So much for stealth, stay close to me!” Moyo growled,
His realm appeared, covering him and the team as he began using intent blades to cut the lava falling towards them in two, together they began running up the mountain, straight through the volcanic ash, Moyo dimly aware they had not met a single monster.
As his team entered the ash a loud roar burst forth again with what seemed like a tail, no a stinger, swept through the ash towards them. Moyo reacted with reflex, bringing dominion down on the stinger as a loud clang rang through the air, the force of the stinger pushing him back with his body absorbing the initial force of the stinger, gritting his teeth he saw Idris pummeling on the stinger to no avail.
Finally, the ash cloud cleared and Moyo stared at a red and black scorpion, well half scorpion seeing as it had up to eight eyes and its skin had a red glow along with flames coming off it. It gave out a roar again only to get a bolt of lightning straight through one of its eyes as it gave a piercing screech in mostly pain. Whipping its tail back for another attack, Moyo blasted off the ground to meet the attack head-on, its name coming up,
Lava scorpion boss level 60
The first of the wave monster boss, the lava scorpion has mutated to fit its surroundings. It's hard body ensures it won't be an easy foe to take down along with it's poisonous stinger containing deadly poison.
“Stay clear of the stinger, distract it and I’ll deal with it!” moyo shouted over the screech of the monster,
Without verifying if they heard him, Moyo turned back to the stinger of the monster, gathering intent blade on his katana and activating blade of the titan as dominions’ blue and red metal gleamed with barely suppressed power. In one cut he cleanly severed the stinger from its body as the monster gave an agonizing screech, green fluid pouring everywhere, dominons' edge proving it's superiority again. A loud boom was heard as he saw Idris body slam into the floor, one of its sharp legs raised high, as moyo was about to summon his realm again Annika came flying through the air with her spear crackling with lightning to slam into the beast driving it backwards from a fallen Idris. Moyo gritted his teeth, slightly regretting bringing them into this fight, he should had realized they were not like him, an anomaly of nature, but then again this was the yellow zone, and the battles would only get progressively harder, compared to the rest of the world currently bastion could be in the lead.
Jumping to the head of the monster who suddenly noted his presence, forgetting his friends and trying to dislodge him, he took notice of Idris dragging himself up as Annika kept laying chains of lightning after lightning on the monster to distract it from Moyo who channeled intent through dominion and drove it straight through the skull of the monster. It gave out a large agonizing screech, wobbling on its feet, Annika shouted and with what seemed like the last of her lightning mana stabbed her spear through its remaining bloody eyes, the spear exploded with lightning, ripping through its eyes.
It squealed in pain, driving a sharp foot towards Annika who moved backwards but a bit too slow. Moyo dimension stepped in front of the leg, catching it on the side of his katana and diverting the attack, with a growl he moved under the beast, driving his blade up as its underbelly proved softer than the rest of its body and with a shout, he activated blade of the titan into the beast, shredding its inside as it gave one last squeal and fell on him.
Moyo appeared at the side of Ayo who stood close to a recovering Idris, all traces of gore gone from his body, it seemed passing through spatial rift burned away anything not relating to him. Immediately notifications poured into his Hud
Congratulations! You’ve defeated a level 60 dungeon boss!
+5 rare aether shards +100 gold coins Rare katana flame scabbard Due to your presence in a team made up of initiates, additional rare loot would be given to them, you get +300 attribute points
Moyo waved them away, glancing at the team as a short sharp light flashed in front of them, as it disappeared Moyo saw Annika holding a red metal spear that cackled with lightning all over it, the physically weak Idris had lost his gauntlets and in its place a red one with marks all over it and extended to his shoulders were in his arms, Ayo had a red bow that seemed to had been made from the same material as the scorpion along with a set of arrows in a quiver that were red also. As they gawked at the weapons reality seemed to twist and turn, suddenly finding themselves back in the forest, the portal gone. The team began puking, except Moyo who was used to the feeling of nausea that accompanied passing through a spatial rip. Allowing them get their bearing he stood guard, noticing the forest was silent, a notification appearing on his Hud,
Congratulations!
Bastion has survived its first wave!, the next wave is in: 23:58:19 hours, Good luck!
“we did it” Annika said standing up wobbly on her feet,
“yh, we did” Moyo replied, smiling at her.,
Together the team trudged back to bastion slowly, laughing as Moyo took in the feeling of the moment, ignoring all other notifications. As they got closer to bastion, its crystal walls gleaming, a loud horn broke the air as Moyo could see josh along with the other sentinels shouting their arrival, on getting to the wall he watched it crack open, a reminder that he needed some sort of gate. They walked in to a large procession from the inhabitants of bastion as they shouted, Josh’s voice ringing through,
“Hail lord Moyo!”
The citizens of bastion took it up, Moyo turned towards them, raising his hand to calm them down,
“Today, we had our first battle, we showed the archailect what we’re made off!” he said as they roared in affirmation,
“And when they come tomorrow in their numbers, they’d meet bastion standing strong, and we’ll crush them, again!”
This time the roar came from everyone, from Annika, Idris, Ayo, Josh, the sentinels,
From bastion itself….

The world outside of the game is sci fi and has very little impact at least for the first year due to obvious reasons. No gore or explicit sex in this story, if cursing requires a mature tag I will add it later, this story is at best PG-13. Tragedy is for his circumstances and previous life, the game itself isn't tragic at all as it's just a game more or less.(This story will be put out alongside my main story whenever I feel like it for now, no set schedule at this time)
