《INTO THE ARCHAILECT》CHAPTER 12

A week had passed again with brutal efficiency, Moyo wielding dominion wreaked havoc on the now empty dungeon with his master, both of them unleashing their might In full,
Well, Moyo unleashed his might In full, Ajax just laughed as he deflected and broke through Moyos’ realm over and over to drop devastating attacks on his body, once again breaking bones and leaving him with massive concussions. Moyo enjoyed It though, a part of him decided he must had been slowly losing his mind to the constant pain, but If that was what It took to get stronger then Moyo would gladly take It. He had slowly watched his skills level up crazily due to him using them against an overwhelming foe he had no Iota of hope to catch up to currently, his realm shooting up to level 50, his blade of the titan also blasting up to 50, while his body of the titans’ wrath moving up to 150 and his blood absorption staying stagnant as he hadn’t been able to drop a cut on Ajax’s’ body.
To be honest It was becomIng Irritating, despite all his accomplishments, his sweat and blood, his master still toyed with him like a fledgling with no skills. On the third day when he couldn’t take It anymore, he had screamed out In frustration, unleashing a realm with all his Intent, and wrapping his master In battle Intent blades so thick the very air was visible with the clashes of the edges. Ajax had raised an eyebrow as he paused and stared on through his student’s tantrum, finally doing his dimension step and appearing In Moyos’ front, flicking his finger at his disciples’ head and watching him crash through what remained of the forest of trees. Moyo groaned as his body protested the brutality. Sitting up he saw Ajax calmly walking towards him,
“You, my disciple Is foolish.” He started,
“You think because you merely stepped on the path of a swordsman, you’re some monster, perhaps It’s time I told you some facts about the archailect, be attentive foolish acolyte”
Moyo focused his entire being on Ajax who snorted and shook his head as he sat down,
“When you leave this forsaken dungeon, you would realize the world you left behind has been completely erased, most of the people you knew may be dead, most probably, your world would had been granted additional landmass, 4-5 times Its size, sectors as they would be called would had been created with a multitude of monsters breeding and laying waste to them, following?” Ajax asked,
Moyo nodded, knuckles white as he clenched his fist tight to hold In the bitter pain he was feeling right now. He had tried to push away the thought that everyone he knew might had died In the apocalyptic scenario, still It burned In his eyes,
“I can see rage In your eyes, good, It would serve you well In your journey. When a new universe Is assimilated, the supreme beings In their…. benevolence throw It open for rulers to lay a claim to It, hence all planets In your universe have been assimilated, habituated or not. Once the 30 days are over, most rulers order their factions to begin sending colonization ships to these worlds to setup a base for their rule, a ruler can have one or more factions under them and most times don’t care what those factions do to the Inhabitants of those worlds In order to cement their rule”
Moyo narrowed his eyes, Ajax nodding In understanding,
“It Is as you think, however here’s the tricky thing, the rulers created a law between themselves, only one advocate along with 2-3 acolytes and a legion of Initiate and fledglings are allowed In newly assimilated worlds. This Is because for the first 2 years of the world’s assimilation, the monster cap level Is 150, understand?” Ajax asked as Moyo nodded,

“Hence, they expect the locals to at most be level 20s with a useless class and no path or factions. To the locals the factions coming would look like a messiah, coming with powerful paths and skills, while In reality those skills are paltry and mostly servant class paths, hence the locals are stuck In a path with little or no use but servitude”
“Then how come you’re here?” Moyo asked, his master was a level 499 expert on the edge of being a master, If what he said was true, Moyo began to understand why he never said anything about his ruler benefactor,
“I’m In a dungeon, I’m technically In a pocket dimension and not In your world, plus your benefactor smuggled me through back channels, think of It like this, If I’m caught, It can’t be tied to him, which makes me wonder what makes you so special to go through these sort of lengths” Ajax replied as Moyo could only shrug,
“nevertheless by the time you’re out of this place, you’re going to be a large fish In a small pond, only the advocates could dream of holding you back, fellow acolytes?, well, with that body of yours and with the skill levels I Intend to leave you with, you’d be a walking disaster to them” Ajax said laughing,
Ajax stood up, dusting his body while staring down at Moyo,
“my advice to you?, avoid being noticed, you might feel all powerful, but what happens when the advocates realize there’s a local with a powerful path and at level 50+ with a sentient blade roaming around hmm?”
“they’d want to Investigate,” Moyo said grimly,
“Hence It would trigger a clause In the law which allows an expert to come Investigate from each faction that lands, and believe me you do not want experts on your world, If you think I’m sadistic wait till you meet my peers, they are walking natural disasters, deities In the eyes of you locals and no one save their masters who don’t care and their rulers could hold them accountable. There are 6 supreme beings, never more, never less, and they encompass all the paths In the archailect and collectives.”
“Supreme being of edges, force, space, element, mind and technology, but you don’t need to know of them or rulers for now. Now listen well disciple, go Into the wild, your map would update as you step Into your world proper, go towards the yellow sectors, lay low and hunt monsters, the cap level In yellow zones Is a 100. Grow In power enough to break through to expert, It might take a year or two with your crazy growth rate, then you can reveal yourself as nothing more than a battle crazed psycho that clawed his way up to expert, okay?” Ajax finished,
Moyo nodded, standing up as he drew dominion, watching a silver manacle made of aether dangle from his blade to his wrist, dominions barely growing sentience Impressing on him the urge to break anything In his front, Ajax strode forwards,
“Now by my calculations you have space for 5 more skills hmm?” Ajax asked,
“Yh, I was hoping you could teach me your spatial skill Ajax, and your dimension step” Moyo asked bowing,
“hmm, you want to obtain two rare skills again In your arsenal, perhaps you think rare skills are thrown by the wayside hmm?, no, I wouldn’t begrudge the killer of a wyrm a request” Ajax started as Moyo grinned while bowing,
“however, are you prepared to go through the effort to get It?,” Ajax asked,

“Yes, I- “Moyo replied as Ajax dimension stepped In his front and landed a crushing palm to his chest with devastating result,
Moyo felt his mind shut down and restart In few seconds as he crashed back Into the ground, bones mangled up In grotesque form, he couldn’t scream, notifications blazing like hell In his Hud as he Ignored them. Pain lanced through his body, his bones resetting back to their original form as he stood up, watching a rip tear open In the air In front of him as Ajax calmly walked out grinning,
“those two skills you want do not come easily, 8 out of 10 who try to learn It die either through the lessons or on their first time warping, however with your body, well..” Ajax said, eye glinting with excitement,
Moyo held dominion tighter, spitting out a broken tooth that had been replaced,
“bring It master” he replied,
Ajax laughed, stepping again and delivered another crushing palm strike with mind boggling speed, launching Moyo again back into the cleared jungle. Moyo landed In a heap, standing on one leg while his other leg healed, ripping his cloth he blindfolded himself. It was obvious he couldn’t depend on his eyes to help him; his master had upped his movement speed and If Moyo wanted to learn dimension step first, he had to feel his surroundings not anticipate his masters next position,
Unleashing his realm again he crouched, trying to notice anything around him, silently, like the wind blowing pass his body. then he heard a voice that sent chills running down his spine,
“right Idea, too much thinking” Ajax’s’ voice said In his ear before he was launched again Into the trees, cursing In pain as Ajax laughed In glee.
It took him 3 days of nonstop fighting, no sleep, no rest, no respite. Moyo was close to breaking down, his nerves frayed, lashing out at any small movement. HIs master had chased him round the dungeon, blasting him about like a cannon due to the fact that he knew his disciples body could withstand It, and the sad part?, Moyo knew deep down that his master wasn’t taking him seriously.
He didn’t bother checking his notifications during that period, he didn’t bother now also, what was the use?. Sitting down near a stream, he dunked his face In the water, sighing as he rubbed his eyes clean, tying the blindfold back as he began walking back towards where he knew his master would be, realm blasted out, Idly noticing that the realm size had Increased. When he felt something send ripples through his realm, Moyo turned with all his speed, pushing himself to blitz through the distance between him and that disturbance on reflex.
That was when he felt it, his willpower siphoning away like a funnel and space seemed to shorten. He had no way of explaining It, no way to describe how he had done It, except the fact that he was currently standing at the edge of his realm in a second, dizzy and nauseous. Dry heaving, he stabilized himself quickly, staying still as a glowing notice drew his attention forcefully,
Congratulations! You have acquired skill dimension step(r)
Dimension step(r)1!:
Distance has begun to mean nothing to you, you have proceeded to close the distance between you and your foes with both the katana and physically. Your will can shorten distances despite the laws forbidding so!
Moyo chuckled to himself, dry heaving along as hunger pangs bit at his Insides, he had done It, he had gotten the skill dimension step. Using his katana to get him to his feet, he began his slow walk back to where smoke came up in the horizon, evidently his master was having a nice time roasting something. As he got closer he kept smiling, grinning from ear to ear as he zeroed In on whatever his master was roasting, Ajax noticed him as he appeared,
“well, don’t you look like-“ Ajax said as Moyo blasted realm out, dimension stepping and appearing In front of Ajax and ripping a part of whatever meat Ajax had been roasting on the spit, biting Into It like a deranged animal,
He noticed Ajax staring at him with wide eyes, before a grin split his face,
“Impressive…very Impressive” he whispered,
Allowing Moyo to Inhale both meat and bone, he gave him another one, spatial rip opening as he brought out another chunk of meat, Moyo desperately wanted that skill, If for anything to be able to store an absurd amount of meat. Placing It over the spit, Moyo watched his master begun to roast the meat, turning to him,
“Rest easy, tomorrow you either learn the spatial skill or die trying” Ajax said,
Moyo barely replied used to such threats, grunting and he finished the meat and fell asleep, his body too tired to listen to any command again.
Ajax sat staring into the flames, his mind pondering different Issues, the main one was the fact that he couldn’t decide If he should tell the kid the school he represented, the reaping katana was one feared In most parts of the archailect, so feared In fact that Ajax and his master were the only two members of the school. Frowning as his mind went to his master, the position he was In,
Soon master, I’m coming…
Diverting his thought away, glancing at the boy whose body had begun to fill up back, muscles regaining their former glory from the taut malnourished look he had before. Ajax for once became a bit envious, the things he could do with a body like that, shaking his head he derailed that thought, he was too far gone, Moyo however would be the blade he would point at the throat of the powers that be in the archailect, his very will was strong for an acolyte, too strong in fact, It was In the realm of an advocate. The fact that he could now Impose his own dimension on reality, a skill gotten at the advocate level through rigorous mental testing, well, Ajax chuckled, things would soon begin to shake In the archailect and he couldn’t wait for that.
Still staring Into the fire, he made up his mind, he would keep It a secret from the kid, the school Issue that Is, no need to burden the boy with such thoughts for now, let fate solve the Issue for him. He would push Moyo to the very breaking point, till his skills passed the 200 mark, he was going to create a monster so powerful his very planet would be safe from the greedy paws of the factions coming, and when the time for the competition came around, the school of the reaping katana would once again show the collective why It took a ruler and all Its masters to bring them down.
Moyo woke up as the sun revealed Its rays on his face, not finding his master anywhere around him. HIs first Instinct was to unleash his realm around him to try finding him. Still getting no feedbacks he shut off his realm when he heard his masters voice from behind him,
“Dimension step, you really don’t need your realm for It you know”
Twisting with such speed as he crouched in battle, he saw Ajax on the top of a rock In a lotus position, eyes closed and one eyebrow raised,
‘If I wanted to attack you, you wouldn’t feel me, that reminds me, you’re making a mistake” Ajax said, gesturing for Moyo to sit In front of him,
Moyo sat, legs crossed In attention,
“Your realm, at least for now Is not suited for detecting foes, especially If they’re above you In rank, once you touch the realm of an expert, to hide your physical Imprint on reality becomes childs splay”
“That was how I got the dimension skill” Moyo replied,
“Hmm, perhaps, or what really happened was your realm drew your attention to fluctuations In the air which I gave off by opening a spatial rift, you weren’t able to feel It cause you weren’t looking for It exactly. Realms are meant to switch the laws of this reality Into whatever laws you see fit, do you want your foes heavy In your realm?, you can do It with sufficient willpower. As your realm grows stronger you can do greater things with It, detection Is far from It now, unless you start to try master the presence of different peoples’ powers, I’d advise to use It for what It Is meant for at your stage, confine and execution of foes” Ajax finished,
Moyo nodded,
“Now get up and use the dimension skill, without the realm, focus your willpower to a blade and rip through the space between you and the trees In the distance” Ajax said,
Moyo stood up and faced the trees, activating the skill and feeling something absorb his willpower, with determination he gathered his willpower and imagined himself slicing the distance in two. It worked, appearing in front of the tree with little to no gust of wind, and no dizziness,
“As you keep using the skill, you would see lesser strain on your willpower, now come, let me teach you about space and spatial movement” Ajax said,
Moyo dimension stepped again to appear in front of his master, sitting again,
“Space Is Infinite, a dark void that can swallow anything, spatial control Is an Individual using that expanse to his needs. However space Is also a dangerous place, you can get lost In It for eternity, If you don’t learn to master the part of space you’re using , you could as well come out In lava or a poison pit In some distant planet, not that you’d die though, pain loving body of yours” Ajax said,
“Every piece of space has a signature, a sort of Imprint you’d need to learn, you only need one, that one Is the same as all but different. Size, time, quantity, distance, they’re all meaningless in that space. You could store a continent In that space, but like all good things It comes with a clause, your willpower, only rulers and supreme beings have the willpower to store things as big as a continent, supreme beings could store planets If they so wish, so start with the small things, and you’d do that by trying to sense a piece of space for yourself, now concentrate, shut all senses away and gain a piece of space for yourself, we’re not leaving here till you get It, no matter how many days or weeks It would take” Ajax finished,
Moyo sat In silence, eyes shut and his mind focused on trying to sense space, with that vague understanding he tried drilling his willpower through this reality like his master had explained, the power to move from one place to another. Unknown to him day and night passed, unaware of his surrounding s as he kept trying to sense space with his willpower. On the second day a rip was heard, Moyo opened his eyes to see a tiny black dot open in the air, It took all of his willpower to keep It open. Ajax appeared close to him,
“at least you opened something, now try to master the feeling that hole Is giving you, Ingrain It In your very body, let It define your definition of space”
Moyo sweated as he did so, watching Ajax push a broken twig Into the space, the moment It entered Moyo felt his willpower snap as the space closed. Gasping for breath he took the leather pouch of water Ajax gave him and guzzled It till It finished, swearing to himself to raise his willpower as high as possible when next he had the chance. After resting for a bit Ajax told him to open It and bring out the twig he had placed there, dimly realizing the notification Informing him that he had obtained the skill spatial control appeared In his eye. With a blink he sent It away, gathering his willpower again and tearing open a slightly bigger hole, Ajax nodding at him to put his hand through and bring out the twig.
Moyo did so, his hands closing on the twig and bringing It out, visibly feeling the weight on his willpower lessen considerably. Ajax nodded,
“Good, with constant practice you will begin to feel the weight less and the space expand, now get up disciple, we’re about to keep training till the two weeks left In this dungeon expires and It starts to collapse on Itself, I will push your skills to the utmost during that short time, you will leave this dungeon an advocate In skill levels, your main level the only deterrent. You will open portals large enough to store five wyrm without feeling the strain, dimension step at a whim and your body would nullify pain to the point that a broken bone would tickle you. I expect your realm to encompass at least half of this dungeon and freeze me for as much as a second, your titan blade should wield the might of the titan and finally, let your blade taste my blood at least once” Ajax finished,
Moyo bowed again, tears brimming In his eyes as the words of appreciation hung In his throat, eyes burning with determination and pride as he held his blade tighter, dominion humming with glee,
“Now ready yourself disciple” Ajax said and attacked as Moyo dimension stepped and unleashed his realm with a roar.

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.
