《Monsters & Meteors》Ep 1, Chapter 10: Little Brothers
Advertisement
Clark was so lucky—instead of just one older brother, he had three now, just like Pete! His parents said it was only for a little while, but it was still fun.
Lex had said that he and Dean weren't really getting along, and they'd been arguing a little at the breakfast table—Lex had even said a bad word. But they seemed to be doing better now. Clark snuck out of the barn for a minute to check on them. They were kind of far away, but he could see them throwing around hay. It looked like lots of fun. Clark had wanted to help with moving the hay bales, but Clark's dad was worried he might show off too much of his strength, and the other boys might find out about his secrets. His parents always worried about that.
Sam really seemed to like the animals, though. "What's his name?" Sam asked while petting one of the horses.
"It's a girl. Her name is Cinnamon."
"Cinnamon." Sam smiled.
"Here, give this to her." Clark handed him an apple. "Hold your hand flat."
"I know." Sam held out the apple, and he laughed when Cinnamon picked it up. "This is really cool. I've never stayed anywhere like this before."
"Where do you live?"
Sam shrugged. "Nowhere. We're on the road a lot because of my dad's work."
"What's your dad's job?"
"He's . . . a hunter."
Clark knew a few people who went hunting for fun. Most of them had other jobs, and they didn't move around much. "But why does he have to move around?"
"It's kind of complicated." Sam shoved his hands in his pockets and looked down.
"But—"
"I don't really want to talk about it."
"Oh." Clark traced a line in the dirt with his foot. "Well, my mom really likes having you here. Maybe if your dad brings you back to Kansas someday, you can come visit us again."

Sam smiled. "I'd like that, Clark. But I don't think he'll let us."
Clark sighed. He'd just have to enjoy the time with his new friends while they were around. "So, what do you want to do after we finish chores?"
"I dunno. Dean might make me do some training, since we didn't get to it this morning."
"Training?"
"Yeah. It's like exercise."
That didn't sound very fun. "My dad says farm chores are great exercise."
"Yeah, I know." Sam's hand moved back up to pet Cinnamon.
"So . . . maybe after your training, if you're not too tired, we could play basketball? Lex and I could play against you and Dean." That seemed fair—Dean was bigger than Lex and Sam was bigger than Clark, but Clark could use just a tiny bit of his strength and speed to make up for it.
"Maybe just you and me. Your brother and my brother, they don't really get along."
Clark breathed in to say that Lex wasn't actually his brother, but something stopped him. He really liked thinking of Lex as his brother. Lex was super smart and knew lots of things about books and science and space that Clark didn't know, because he went to a fancy school for really smart people. He had visited lots of cool places, and he had played video games Clark had never even heard of. Clark hadn't worked up the courage to ask his mom if he could shave his head, though. He was pretty sure she wouldn't like that.
Sam gave Cinnamon's neck one last pat and turned toward Clark. "Are we done feeding all the animals?"
"Yeah. Do you want a snack? My mom made some cookies the other day, I think she still has some left." They'd had a big breakfast, but that had been at six in the morning, and lunch wasn't for a couple more hours.

"Okay. Race you to the house?"
Clark nodded. He'd have to let Sam win, of course—he always had to let other kids win at competitions. "One, two, three, go!"
Clark hung a bit behind Sam, but Sam kept slowing down. He was really slow—was he that tired? Or . . . Clark smiled. Sam was letting him win, since Clark was younger. Clark picked up just a bit of speed and touched the front door of the house a full second before Sam did.
"You win!" Sam held up a hand for a high five, and Clark tapped it very lightly, the way his dad had taught him.

Exponential Mana Regeneration
When the Change occurred, humanity suddenly found itself with superhuman constitutions and the ability to use mana. All the government leaders had known about it beforehand and had made an announcement, so there was little strife and instead excitement to loot the dungeons that the Change had created. Kyle Anders was incredibly excited when he saw his starting skill, called Exponential Mana Regeneration, but his excitement quickly waned when he realized it was almost useless with his starting mana pool of twenty. He had nearly given up hope on being a mage when his family got him a new skill for his 18th birthday. Suddenly, with his mana pool expanded because of the skill, Kyle’s mana regeneration shot through the roof. But while humanity worked hard to loot dungeons and increase their skills and stats, Change was coming, and peace cannot last forever. The story is currently on haitus. (This story is a work in progress. As the first story that I have ever written, the beginning, especially the first ten chapters or so, needs heavy editing. I have decided to continue writing the story instead of going back and editing the beginning. I hope that despite all its flaws you will still find my story enjoyable.)

Cowboys and Wizards
Currently in queue: Episode 12 in progress. Set in the Aurora: Apocalypse universe.Updated every Wednesday. If it's not updating, I'm working on my other fictions. If nothing's updating, I ran out of whiskey. Be patient. Cowboys and Wizards is a hot mess of garbage that should not be taken seriously by anyone. It’s a vaguely-GameLit spoof of Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomoni (In Another World With My Smartphone) where the MC ends up in another world and fused with his crappy smartphone, mashed up with fantasy western elements. Dungeons & Dragons meets the Wild West in an alternate high-fantasy timeline. Guns & Goblins. Cowboys & Wizards. Locomotives & Dwarves. Don’t expect great writing, accurate numbers, or common sense. Hell, don’t expect anything — just relax and let it happen.

My Roleplay Server
Given the chance to reincarnate in a world with two wishes, who would say no? Especially when you could live a life you've always wanted. This is supposed to be a relaxed story about a man fulfilling the dreams he couldn't in his first life. There will still be drama and more adult things, but overall it will be pretty chill. The action of the story will come in when he finishes making the server. As of right now, 4/6/2022, it's looking like this is going to be a slower-paced novel. Hopefully, in the future, I can get the pacing downright. This is my first released story, so feel free to give me all your constructive criticism. I do plan on finishing this story. Please point out any mistakes you see. This novel is also on Webnovel and Scribble Hub.

Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
