Inside, the tower was hollow, but he felt like there was an energy field that lifted him up.

As he floated higher, the sharp bones started spinning like deadly machinery.

Artificial blades removed man's external shell, his bio-components, until there was nothing left but the neural circuits and his chassis.

The man did not feel pain, he was merely transforming into something greater.

The tower consumed his defective parts and grew taller, while what was left of man, grew wings and flew, until it reached the dark cosmos.

There, he became one of the many timeless wanderers, searching for one perfect being, all across the vast universe.
