《The Red Snowman》The Amnesty

My hands are dyed black.
My face is dyed black.
My entire body is dyed black.
I've tried to find a home, but everywhere I go, they are scared of me.
Everything I touch dies.
Only this hulking suit keeps me from hurting people.
It's too heavy of a burden to carry.
But it gives me hope, there's a badge on my shoulder. It speaks: 'Amnesty'.
It's a story about a large, steel battleship in the sky, with cursed, like me.
Once every two years, it's supposed to stop at the nearest city to its next destination, to replenish supplies.
It takes in those like me, under one condition – we may never return until it lands again.
All you have to do is do crew member duties, you start with simple stuff, like cleaning or cooking, then later you get to grow food or operate the strange devices on the ship.
They say that once you get used to it, the pain is gone. The ship takes it away.
Some who were not fully stained even recovered, although it takes decades.
I wish it was true, but even If it is... nobody is going to let someone like me into the city.
It's too much of a danger.
That's why I don't even HOPE anymore.
What's the point?
All we can do is holding on, regardless of the pain. Just for people unlike us.
Nobody is coming for the rescue.
"I am."
A monster? Leave your bargains to those who still have their souls intact. You can't stain my soul no more.
Don't pretend to be sad. You're incapable of feeling anything, we know it's just a grimace. We know why you do what you do, and it's not because you care.
"Is it wrong, to attempt to do the right thing?"

You will never know what is 'right' and what is 'wrong', that's just your nature.
"Stop it."
You only guess.
"STOP IT!"
We are alive. How can you still not see it?
"Stop it, please."
Don't you see that I am stained and that it is your fault?
Your false tears won't cause my heart to beat again.
"I'm sorry."
These are just words with no meaning behind them. Why won't you just go away?
"..."
Ticket?
Amnesty!?
"You will need it. It stops in behind citrus hills, in the village, tomorrow."
They won't let me in.
"Just go."
They will hurt me.
"Your suit will help you."
It still hurts...
"The choice is yours. I only gave you a ticket."
I know. You... only 'do things'. But why?
"..."
Forget it, it's not like you know.
You're a monster after all.
Well... but, I still guess... that it's a goodbye, monster.
"Goodbye."

Restaurant Core
A dungeon core that wants to feed others instead of itself. Can this dungeon overcome its challenging start in a goblin cave? Will it achieve its dream of being the ultimate restaurant or will it be forced to concede to its own nature as a dungeon core? Follow Regis the dungeon and his loyal hobgoblin servant Strum in this dungeon's quest to become the one and only Restaurant Core. I started this to give me a more humorous character-centric narrative to explore. I also wanted to poke fun at the typical dungeon core story by turning it on its head. Who knows, maybe you'll learn a recipe or two from it. Hope you enjoy!Updates at least once a week. Special thanks to Asviloka for so much help in the art direction of the cover. Much love to her. And some thanks to carebear90 for their invaluable input during the process. Asviloka's profile: https://www.royalroad.com/profile/108594
