Chapter 31
How to trust?
Renova’s part (lvl34 archer s)
We are farming again in the forests with our prisoner bound in handcuffs and shackles. Surprisingly, zombie scroomie had an innate skill of ‘Mercenary Carry’ which enables somebody to carry others with almost no effort without losing any speed. So we managed to start farming faster than we originally thought we would arrive. I am in a pretty good mood right now, as I leveled up earlier today. However, the prisoner doesn’t seem to share my mood.
“When will you free me? I have been shackled and cuffed for like 5 hours.”
“We will free you when we are able to trust you.”
“And that is?”
“I don’t know, how can we trust you?”
“Well, what do you want me to do?”
“I don’t know! How to trust?”
“That is what I am supposed to ask, what do you want me to do so that you people can trust me.”
“How am I supposed to know?” I exclaim.
“Well… don't you know that?”
“Nothing bad can happen if I don’t know that. However, it would be bad for you if you don’t.” I reason. Then I add,
“So you better come up with some ideas.”
“How about… ugh… I can’t think of anything!”
“Well, then, stay cuffed!”
“Alright fine, I’ll think of something.”
I’m pretty sure about 3 hours have passed since he last opened his mouth. He has been thinking for like forever now.
“Done thinking?” I urge him to speak.
“I miss the old days…” he starts to say
“And that is?”
He seems a little irritated that I cut his sentence but answers anyway,
“There were times I used to be the prince of Country in the Sky.”

Melarie seems to be interested.
“HAAA??? Prince of Country in the Sky? No wonder I was..” I cut in,
“So why are you here if you are the prince?”
“I was exiled.”
“Did you do something bad?”
“Nope, one of my brothers decided to kill the King, who was our father. Then he exiled all of our siblings to the ground.”
That doesn’t make much sense though, because Country in the Sky is a democratic country…
“Wait… isn’t Country in the Sky democr”
“It used to be… not anymore. Haven’t you heard?”
“Heard what?”
“About a month ago, after we were all exiled to the ground, as the government started to pressure the royals about the chaos in their house, my brother who killed the King decided to start a que and take over the country.”
“Wait? So Country in the Sky is ruled by a dictator now?”
“For now. Yes.”
“Okay, so?”
“I need your help, I will give you the current Cauylin Province if yall decide to help.”
“That still doesn’t mean we can tru”
“YES SURE WE WILL HELP! Cauylin Province is almost the 8% of the whole territory of the Country in the Sky!”
“Melarie! We can’t trust him!”
“Yes you can, the fact that Melarie is acting like that is enough evidence.” He interjects.
“What do you mean?” I ask in confusion.
“You see. I can’t prove that I will keep the promise, but I can prove I am a prince of Country in the Sky. All the princes and princesses of the Country in the Sky get a special amulet from birth.”
Then he pulls out a shining sky blue diamond amulet.
“This is a Sky’s charm amulet. Any fisherin or dinsks who sees this amulet becomes signaficantly more agreeable to me. This doesn’t stop an enemy from slashing her spear at me when in fights, but does stop her from killing me.”

“Very convenient I suppose, but aren’t royals of the Country in the Sky mostly dinsks?”
“Yes, but dinsks and fisherins have shared history and culture since the ndis basically mixed, however the race trait only shows either fisherin or dinsk, so I happen to be fisherin. Currently, about 18% of all the royals are fisherins.”
“Okay fine, I give up. I will uncuff you now. Lastly, what is your name?”
“Ahhh yes, I was waiting for that question. I am the Sky’s third Prince, Yuri Justice.
