Chapter 14
Morilus's hypermove
Ace’s part (lvl53 Illusionist, Philosopher, Spy, Monk s/h)
Week has passed since we got away from the scoundrels who wanted to kill us. I still recall the moment that saved us. I would probably call it magic, but since magic is an ordinary thing in this world, I will call it a miracle.
So a week ago, we got attacked by a group of ultras, supers, and hybrids. We killed a couple of enemies, however we became low on health due to their strong attackers, then Nora’s dagger started glowing. Literally! Glowing!
“Yo Ace, what ya doin? We gotta prepare for the journey to Lolrena.”
“Oh hey Morilus, can you write down what happened a week ago in the snowfields of tundra while I prepare?”
“Sure”
Morilus’s part (lvl 122 Faceless one, Dagger Master u/h)
Ok, so a week ago, I was taking my break inside the dagger. However, the world wasn’t going to let me just sleep quietly. It could be because I killed many people at my times, but probably because this world is never quiet. I heard some fighting noises and took a peak at the outside world, and saw my new master at peril. I murmured “Ugh, why can’t people take care of themselves” then prepared to help her. Right before the dragon slayer’s thunder spear crush hit the ground, I popped out of my home and used ‘Spiritual shield’ which is sort of like ultimate blocking skills of weapon spirits regardless of their classes or levels. It has a cooltime of 1 month. The dragon slayer got knocked back from impact. Then I took the dagger from Nora’s hand. It felt a bit weird to wield myself, but I got to save Nora and her friends. Anyways, I dodged the spear crusher of a confused dragon slayer, then used ‘Shadow fan’ which launched many poisonous daggers in a 180 degree arc. All the enemies got hit, and 3 of them were falling below the chain lethality execute point. So without any hesitation, I used chain lethality at the enemy. Since they were huddled together, all of them got hit, as the 3 people low on health got executed, the damage became higher, and I was actually able to execute all the enemies. It has happened many times before, so I wasn’t surprised. Anyways, overall it gave me about 8000 silver. One chain lethality for 8K silver? Damm, I could do it all day long.

So that was what happened that day. Since then, I didn’t go back to my dagger to take a rest, just in case they fall in the same situation in the tundras. Tundras are dangerous, howlers, other progressers, and an ice dragon. Above all that, keeping temperature is the most important, because the only other option is to freeze to death. Freezing to death is one of the most overlooked ways to die in Tundra. However, the single most cause of death of lvl 100 and below is actually frostbite (accounts for 70%) and it also accounts for 20% of the total deaths in Tundra. Speaking of this, we almost froze to death 5 days ago because our master forgot the way. Obviously I knew the way and barely managed to get them to the campfire tree before they froze to death. Nora said "Phew, thanks Morilus, we almost died." "It's not like I'm gonna let y'all die," I replied. Sadly I couldn't keep the promise.
6 days after this event, which was a day ago. We went to rest in the mana cave and mmm… it was our biggest mistake. As we went in to rest, Ace was paranoid. “What’s wrong Ace? Why do you look so frightened?”
“I’m pretty sure this is the cave where the Valahan lives.” “And? Why should we be concerned?” “It’s an Elite tiered monster.” "We can probably beat an Elite monster, don't worry." I assured him. However he still looked worried. Walking inside we saw what he was talking about, half a dozen people were there too. They were fighting the monster. It looked like a monster was pushing them though. Nora, who probably had the same impression, said "Are you 6 doing alright?" "Does it look like we are? No duh." Ok that was a bit rude. I want to teach them some manners but probably it isn't a good idea. Instead I will be teaching some manners to the monster. "Well, mind if we help?" One of them shouted. "Pls Pls Pls help us!" Oh neat, let's kill a monster then.
Ace's part (lvl 52 Illusionist +3 s/h)
We decided to help the people who were getting beaten up by the monster. I could tell one of them was a dragon slayer and the rest were dragon knights. Maybe a dragon related house I guess. Well, I am still really frightened, so I am just going to help them at the backline. Not that I got strong ranged magic spells but mmm… ye. Valahan is a 4 armed monster that sort of looks like a gorilla. However, it’s much much stronger and faster than a gorilla. What makes them an Elite class though is that their normal fist attacks break the normal block. Only perfect blocks work against their attacks. Their kicks and slams can’t even be blocked, it can only be dodged. I read it only in the book of monsters, but seeing it in real life right now? It only intensifies my paranoia. I took some deep breaths, then I walked behind the Valahan while keeping my distance. I was going to spam pillium. It's a spell that summons 12 ground pillars. It does decent damage and knocks creatures back. Majority of the people just dodge or perfect block them. But for monsters? It's a balance breaker of this world. I distance myself perfectly from the monster. So that only the 11th and 12th pillar would hit. Maximizing safety while still doing damage. My three assassin friends start using ranged skills like a dagger throw and target shot. Quasar has many slowing ranged attacks like chill shot and arvaic. Arvaic is a skill which deals moderate magic damage, slows the target 75% for 3 seconds and causes frost damage for 10 second. With the monster slowed down we are dealing much higher damage to the monster, since we don’t have to worry about their attacks as much. I think we are going to easily slay it. “This is too easy, I don’t feel right.” NOOOO, don’t say that Nora, something bad always happens when that is said. “Nora!” I shouted. However, before the shout could be heard, the monster became enraged. Enraged Valahan slammed the ground with incredible speed and 3 of the dragon knights got knocked backward. The dragon slayer shouted "It's enraged! Watch out!" I definitely don't feel awesome. "Aww this is too strong" I shouted. "Viribus, viribus, viribus!" Viribus is really easy to spam because it has no cooltime, requires little mana and only needs to channel 3%. "Arctic spike," Nora shouted. With this she landed a final blow. "Phew, let's distribute the loot," I said. As the monster fell to the floor, the ground shook like an earthquake. "Aww!" I exclaimed. Phew! That was scary. Well, as the monster died, I see 2600 silver. Along with some items. This is going to be hard to distribute. "Alright let's distribute the silvers half and half and we choose the item we want and you dragon knights get the other," said Morilus. Expectedly they didn't say anything. They probably know Morilus alone could defeat all of them. Even 1300 and a worse off item is probably a good enough prize for them as they were about to lose to the monster. "Alright let's see the item" I said.

Quasar's part (lvl 92 tundra assassins u)
Two items dropped from the monster were each Tundra cave's helmet and Valahans ring. The helmet has +200hp, ×1.1 physical defence and x1.5 impact resistance. It's a decent item but none of us need it. Instead I am thinking of giving Valahans ring to Ace. It has +100 ability damage, +50 magical damage, +50 physical damage, x1.2 climb speed and +2 movement speed. It would be a good fit for Ace, because he uses all three physical, magical and ability damage. Physical damage is related to normal attacks, special normal attacks and some of the physical skills. Ability damage is related to most of the skills. Magical damage is related to magical spells and some magical skills. His hybrid fighting styles include all three. I suggested "Alright let's get the ring and give it to Ace. He can probably use it to its full potential." "I don't really care about who gets what, we can do that, Ace probably needs to become stronger being the weakest here." Morilus said. "An item for me? That's neat." "Yes, I think you can use it to its full potential with your fighting style." I said. Without much more discussion, we decided to get the Valahan's ring and give it to Ace. "Ohhh, I feel so strong." Ace said as he wore the ring. "I love it!" Exclaimed Ace. I never saw Ace be this happy. That makes me happy too. Maybe this is why some strong people boost other people. "Well then, let's rest here and go to Lolrena." Nora said.
With that, we come back to the present. Which is May 13th, 2021, for now that is.

Anti-Hero: Journey of Fear
There is a story where the hero makes friends, completes quests, and saves the world. This is NOT that story. In the VR world of Fate: Experience Acute Realism, the main character cuts his way through both the players and NPCs alike. This story takes a close look at how a true full immersion VR would be played. The setting is an open VR world where the players struggle to survive with a lack of knowledge and the NPCs panic in regards to the Travelers invading their world. The anti-hero of this story is cold and calculating. Sparing no one from his reign of terror he gives into occasional bouts of kindness before he is forced back on the path of blood and tears. For where there is a hero who seeks to bring people together to help the world move forward, there is an anti-hero who brings people together to seize the world for himself. WARNING: This story contains extreme violence, in every single chapter. This story contains references to sex, but no explicit scenes. This story has light to mild swearing. My chapters normally range from 4,000 to 5,000 words. This story does not contain happy endings, middles, or even beginnings.

Sanctuary
A girl searching for someone. A boy who lost his memories. A man from another world. A woman trying to prove her worth. Follow along as this unlikely group of people join forces to help each other accomplish their own goals in this non-epic fantasy adventure. Fair Warning: This fiction contains many of the well-known light novel tropes, though I try to give them my own spin. If you’re tired of them by now, you might want to keep away. There are no demon lords however, nor any end-of-the-world cataclysm situation that only the MC can solve. This story is more about different people coming together and helping each other out to achieve their own goals and objectives.
