"What have you discovered?" asked Professor Martha Lee.
Shawna raised her hand.
"Yes, Shawna, go ahead."
"It looks like colony Sector 4X-C has made decisions that seem favorable to only a few. Resource distributions are unequal, which indicates hoarding, that will cause the creation of oligarchs."
"Excellent analysis, Shawna. What do you suggest?"
"A disconnect followed by total isolation."
"Isn't that too extreme?" asked Dr. Lee.
"No, ma'am, it's the only way we've kept peace on Mars for over 1000 years."
The professor smiled.
