Gateway to Heaven

Earth Space Guardians, Do-hyun and Björn, patrolled a wormhole not too far from Earth—discovered by accident through a technology initially intended to fold space for interstellar travel.

“All clear,” said Do-hyun.

“Do-hyun, why patrol it? Probes say it leads straight into a black hole.”

“Missed the recent briefing? Too busy holo’ing your lover?”

Bjorn blushed—“Well … I was distracted.”

“Pay attention next time. The investigators say a group is sending people through the wormhole, and they willingly enter it.”

“To die?” asked Björn.

“Negative … there’s a rapidly growing space cult that believes it’s a gateway to heaven.”
