A Fortunate Happenstance
“Qaevix, humans are highly resilient. What if the neural influencer fails?” asked Golqut.
“Sir, I’ve got a back-up plan.”
“Which is?”
“The galactic holoprojector, sir.”
“But Qaevix, we’ve only used it to trick invaders. It’s not even real.”
“True, sir. However, I can project a doomsday asteroid to scare them off the planet.”
“Are you sure it’d work, Qaevix?”
“Yes, sir, someone used something similar on our ancient ancestors, right here, 65 million years ago.”
“But, a real asteroid did strike. Correct?”
“A fortunate happenstance, sir, our ancestors fled on time.”
“Qaevix, wait, our ancestors? Here?”
“Yes, sir, we’re home!”

"You will be mine. Officially and irrevocably. Not even Hades himself can stop that." Welcome to a world where the Greek gods exist alongside mortals and humans are ruled by their powerful offspring! Aurora is the daughter of a goddess. She can heal deadly wounds, sense a lie, and wield the sun's flames. But these powers won't be hers for long. Now that Aurora has come of age, a tradition must be honored: The Trials. Competitors risk everything in deadly tests of strength and cunning for the right to claim Aurora's power as their own. And the two favorites to win? A handsome prince and someone much darker--the only son of Hades himself.
8 164I, Mor-eldal: The Necromancer Thief
As a budding little necromancer, I soon discovered that the world of city people is complicated. When my master kicked me out of the cave, he warned me not to talk about my “dark” magic, because people here don't like the undead. I am not really an undead, I just have a skeleton hand, but it is better to be careful. Anyway, that's not my biggest worry. In the Black Dagger brotherhood, I learn a lot of things, such as illusionist magic, which turns out to be quite handy to survive in this maze of streets: in the Cat Quarter, we have thugs of all kinds that are best avoided. But we also have good people, goodhearted “gwaks”, as we say around here. Little did I know that I would soon be caught up in an infamous traffic that would entangle my life even more. With a mix of lighthearted adventure and picaresque, this story narrates the hectic life of a good-spirited street child and his companions in a medieval urban fantasy setting with some nineteenth-century influences. Updates Mondays and Fridays. This is a Creative Commons By work. It is a translation of a trilogy I wrote in Spanish between 2017 and 2018.
