‘Joe’ disappeared ...
On Thanksgiving Day, ‘Joe’ landed in a saucer and declared, “People of Earth, I’ve come to bring you a year’s supply of the candies!”
“What’s your price?” asked a reporter.
“We only ask for 50% of your population as a trade.”
“Why?” asked another reporter.
“We’ve cured all, but we’re hungry ...”
The people of Earth gathered annually to celebrate the feast.
