“Wow! Again? This is a strong one, Eugene,” said Dr. Simon Brent Sr. Astronomer of the observatory.
“Yes, Simon, and it contains a bunch of transmissions that seem to form a comprehensible language. I’m processing them through a supercomputer now.”
Hours later ...
Eugene stayed up until 2 am waiting for the supercomputer to finish, then called Simon.
“Simon, I’ve received a translation. Are you sitting down?”
“Yes, Eugene. Go on ...”
“Homo sapiens of Earth. We’ve come to reclaim our homeworld. Our survivors built an underground city. We teleported and migrated to another solar system. We’ve been monitoring your activity. We’re aware of your spaceflight ability. We’ve intercepted the Voyagers. You shall not dominate us again.”
“Who are they, Eugene?”
“Well, Simon, interestingly enough, they also sent images of themselves. You won’t believe it. I can hardly believe it myself.”
“Send them over to my phone.”
“Okay, but, Simon, get ready ... Oh my ...”
“What is it, Eugene?”
“Space Force satellites are detecting an armada of space ships coming out of what appear to be wormholes. Did you get the pictures?”
“Yes, Eugene ... is this some sort of a prank? They appear to have large, wide, elongated heads. Protruding brow ridges. Short arms and stocky bodies. Are you honestly telling me we’re under attack by Neanderthals?”

A meandering pace as the characters aren't told how a lot of the world works and have to figure it out themselves. (And because there are a lot of characters. Whose idea was it to have a party of 9? I blame Jake) 3. A tragedy. A lot of things are not going to go well for the protagonist. (Not that everything is tragedy all the time. There is humor, laughter, friendship, and even a mascot monster character who got way more popular than I expected. But this is not a story that will leave you uplifted and inspired after every time you read it). ---- Release Schedule and publishing information: Book 1 is complete! I will include a link to book 2 once it has been started. Feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. ---- Other notes Book 1? Yes, this says Book 1. There are probably going to be 3 books. No, the plot as you can guess is not going to be tortured to drag out all the way to book 3. That would be ridiculous. If you can guess the plot of books 2 or 3 at any point before the last chapter of book 1, please use your clairvoyant powers for something more productive. TitusGM? This story is intentionally told under the username TitusGM because the idea is that he was the one actually writing everything down what happened after it all is over. I initially planned to answer everything in character on this site, but that just really didn't work out. The first is that when the MC was created, James didn't know what he was doing, so he picked what he thought would work. The second reason is that he had access to more information to game the system a little. The premise is like when you buy a new video game and decide to play it without RTFM. After creating a great character and making it to the end of the first act, you realize that, although your character may be kewl, it is gimped and will not survive until the end of the game. Going back to the start, you create a new character with the knowledge you gained from playing the game and perhaps, peeking at the manual.

Read along the first in the series which is The Era of Blood where magic is still in an infant stage and where swords can dominate the battle field. In The Era of Blood, you follow along the first main character who had his memories wiped clean except for the most basic things in life. It is up to him to find out how to get his memories back and why they are gone. (If you don't like the story layout or characters, I suggest either just reading through or wait till the next one in the series is being released. With how it's set up, you can enjoy any of the three in the trilogy but of course reading in order will help give a better understanding of the world.)
