《Hide and Aizawa》HA1 6.2 - Takeo's First Action

While waiting, Hide gently rubbed his AEK-74SU. The S code on the assault rifle indicated that it was a variant with a folding stock. While the U code indicated that it used the shortest barrel.
When the stock was stretched, the total length of AEK-74SU was only 75 cm. A compact size that was suitable for an assault launch from a vehicle.
As soon as he saw the light beam in the distance, Hide stretched the AEK-74SU's stock, followed by loading a magazine, cocking it, and placing the fire selection lever into the safety position.
Then, while lowering the headcover to his chin, Hide said, "Wait for my confirmation."
"Okay."
Not long after that, a black sedan crossed the S14 position. Takeo could not see the sedan model, but Hide said firmly, "That's our target. Once they turn, start the engine and chase them."
Takeo nodded and after the Civic's tail lights disappeared behind a corner, he started the S14 engine and stepped on the gas.
While lowering the window, Hide asked, "Do you remember the straight road after the km.32 marks?"
"Yeah."
"Stick tight to our targets just before they enter the straight road, then give them three blinks using the headlights. If they slow down, advance slowly until the front right of the S14 is aligned with the rear left of the Civic. Then push them diagonally and make sure I have an ample field of view."
"Roger."
"The fuel tank and hood of commercial cars do not have additional protection, while continuous firing at the tank can cause the car to burn. Shooting into the engine can also cause a short circuit which ends in a fire. I can only shoot at the Civic's driver. So I need the view as wide as possible."

Takeo swallowed hard before answering in a slightly trembling voice, "I'll try my best, but what if they don't slow down after I blink the lights?"
Hide casually answered, "In that case, I'll try to shoot the tires. But there's a chance I'll hit the fuel tank and the Civic catches fire with the money we're after."
"Understood."
---
With a speed of 90 km/h, Takeo took a turn at an area that was not exactly a turn but also not a straight road, and it felt as if the S14 only slightly shifted its line without any g-force. It was an extraordinary maneuver executed by using extraordinary skill, by someone who did not have many flight hours on the highway
However, Takeo didn't feel like he had done anything out of the ordinary. To him, the turn he had just done was no different from the other turns he had done while training at Old Pier. Of course Hide had a different opinion, and he was very satisfied that Takeo did not disappoint him.
As soon as the black Civic's tail lights were visible in the distance, Hide put the fire selection lever on the AEK-74SU to full-auto.
"I trust you."
"Roger."
Confidently, Takeo then stomped on the gas pedal, and in an instant the S14 was stuck tightly behind the black Civic.
Takeo gracefully stalked the black Civic into the final turn before the km.32 marks. The S14 almost hit the rear of the black Civic, but Takeo deftly made adjustments just before the collision occurred.
And just as Hide expected, as soon as Takeo blinked the headlights three times, the black Civic immediately lowered the speed to 50 km/h. Without delay Takeo made his move to overtake, and as soon as the front tire of the S14 was aligned with the rear tire of the black Civic, he swerved to the right.

After receiving a diagonal push, the black Civic instantly spun wildly before crashing into the guardrail and stopping. The S14 also spun, but not as wild as the black Civic, and without difficulty Takeo controlled it until the S14 stopped two seconds earlier than the black Civic.
The time span of two seconds was only fleeting, but it was more than enough for Hide to make a perfect aim. Moreover, Takeo positioned Hide to be within 10 meters of the black Civic and did not need to turn his waist to be able to aim.
With one fluid motion Hide lifted the AEK-74SU's barrel, and as soon as his line of sight was in straight level with the iron sight and Black Civic dashboard, he squeezed the trigger gently.
Ra-tatartarrrrr!
The rain of projectiles hit the Civic's windshield and dashboard, then mercilessly penetrated the bodies of the two occupants who did not expect to receive a full magazine of spray & pray.
In his previous life, to finish off a target at a distance of 20 meters, Hide only needed to use a single hit to the head.
However, in this lifetime he had not practiced shooting yet. Therefore, although his soul carried the god-level shooting skill from his previous life, his body lacked the muscle memory needed to use the skill. Until he got back his accuracy, Hide could only rely on the volume of fire to finish off his targets.
Hide deftly inserted the second magazine before exiting the S14, and while pointing the AEK-74SU's muzzle at the Black Civic's dashboard, he advanced at full alert.
When he got to the front of the Civic, Hide found the driver and his colleagues still breathing and gave him hateful looks. Without hesitation, he ended their lives with headshots. He then grabbed the two large suitcases in the trunk of the Civic while Takeo carried the S14 over to him.
When Hide put two large suitcases into the back seat of S14, he saw Takeo staring at the corpses of two Aizen Mafia members with a stunning look. Without wasting time Hide then entered S14.
"As soon as the courier's car stops, Aizen Mafia HQ will notice right away. We only have eight minutes before they send out a two-way sweep."
"Yeah."
After nodding slightly, Takeo then stepped on the gas pedal.

8 75A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
