《Reborn In Naruto With My Girlfriend》22- The War Begins

The next morning, inside the Hokage's office, every high ranking member of Konoha was present. Be it the Hokage, Shikado, Hayate, Sakumo, Akito, Fukame, Tsunade, Jiraiya, Danzo and every other clan head. Even Orochimaru, who Mikasa and Tatsuya have never seen ever since they came to this world, was present.
They were currently discussing how to deploy the troops during this battle. After the death of the Second Hokage, the Sand and the Leaf were almost equal in terms of power, so it would be difficult to gain the upper hand with sheer number or strength.
"So how do you propose we deal with this?" The Hokage said while looking at Shikado.
"We are somewhat equal in terms of power when compared to the Sand. But the battle will take place in the desert between the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind, so it'll give the Sand village a terrain advantage." Shikado said as he pointed toward the map behind him, which showed the battlefield in detail.
The reason why they decided on this battlefield was simple, unless it's a large scale war between many villages, they can't just go around fighting inside their own countries. Unlike the Shinobi villages, the Wind Daimyō and the Fire Daimyō weren't enemies.
"We currently have 4 S-rank Shinobi within our ranks that can leave the village. That being the Hokage, Sakumo, Tatsuya and Mikasa. As for the Sand, they have the Third Kazekage, the Honoured Siblings- Chiyo and Ebizō along with Hiyo and Aaori who can match a Kage when working together." Shikado explained the current strength of both the Sand and the Leaf.
While the current Legendary Sannin can fight against a Kage together, they were told to stand by. Only Tsunade will support the troops from behind along with the medical team.
"Don't we have the advantage in the number of Kage tier shinobi?" Hiyashi asked.
"It's not about the number of Kage tier shinobi. The main problem is the one-tail Shukaku, we don't have a Jinchuriki that can fight. Although the new Jinchuriki has been selected, it'll take years before she matures. Not to mention we're fighting in Shukaku's territory." The Hokage replied Hiyashi.
"Our main goal is to decide who will be facing who," Shikado said with a serious look. It's always important to choose your opponent wisely.
"I will deal with Hiyo and Aaori," Sakumo said, everyone inside the room knew what happened with his wife so there were no objections.
"Okay. Next." Shikado said.
"I'll deal with the Third Kazekage when he shows up," Tatsuya said with a harmless smile. There's no way that Kage tier shinobi or the Jinchuriki will go and start the war, or at least that's what Tatsuya thinks.
"Are you sure?" Hayate asked. Although he was a Kage tier shinobi, there's no way that the Anbu commander can be deployed in the war. He was still worried about Tatsuya even tho he knew that Tatsuya can always run away with the Flying Thunder God.
"Don't worry. If Yato hasn't improved since the last time we fought, I'll be able to barely match him." Tatsuya said. Unlike before, if Tatsuya fought Yato with his current strength, he'll be able to cut one of his limbs without much trouble. Although he was confident, his chances against Yato right now were around 80 percent. Of course, that is if Yato didn't improve ever since their last fight.
"I'll deal with the Cannon Fodder until Shukaku arrives," Mikasa said with a smile. Both of them had plans for Shukaku, so they can't let someone else deal with it. Mikasa's job was to force the Kazekage and the Jinchuriki to come out earlier than they planned.

It was decided that Hiruzen will deal with the Honoured Siblings. The plan was to divide the battlefield into three parts. Each one will have a Kage tier in charge. The Sand will have no choice but to react according to this strategy.
The troops were soon deployed according to the plan. The Kage tier Shinobi were on standby, they'll only move when their respected opponents appear.
The same scene was going on inside the Sand village as well. They received a report about how the Leaf is attacking them. They had no choice but to follow up with a counter for the threeway strategy that Konoha used.
Pakura was deployed on the battlefield against the first division of Konoha. Her mission was simple, to kill as much of Leaf's Shinobi as she can while not protecting those from the Sand.
After three days, the war began.
The first division was the first one to engage in battle, they had around 1500 shinobi. As Pakura looked at the many Konoha Shinobi charging at them, she looked at the sword Tatsuya gave her not too long ago. Although it was made from blood, it looked like any normal Katana.
Pakura could've just used her Kekkei Genkai to fight but Mikasa told her to kill a bunch of people with her explosive tags as well, to which Pakura easily agreed. She had around 20 explosive tags on her waist, it'll be enough to kill more than 100 people.
As Pakura and the Sand shinobi charged at the first division, a bloody battle broke out. Although the area covered wasn't much, everyone still had enough space to have a group battle.
Pakura enhanced her sword with Wind chakra to increase the sharpness of her sword. After her body was enhanced by Natural energy, her physical speed and agility were better than normal Jonin by a long margin.
She came across a group of three. A Jonin along with two Chunin. Pakura rushed towards them at a high speed as she slashed her sword down vertically in front of the Jonin.
"Is that all you got kid?" The Jonin sneered. While the Jonin was holding Pakura back, the two Chunin also came from each of the directions with Kunai in their hands. Pakura looked around her before she smirked.
"It's a trap. Get back." The Jonin shouted. But alas, it was too late. Pakura turned into sand before any of them could react.
'Sand Clone.' The Jonin thought as he saw the two explosive tags that were inside the Sand. He was already making hand seals the moment Pakura turned into sand. He pressed his hands on the ground.
'Earth Release: Mud Wall'
BOOM*
With a loud explosion, one of the Chunin was directly killed and the other was pushed back several meters, heavily injured. The Jonin was in a much better shape but he was still flying back. As he landed, he looked around, trying to find the real Pakura.
Before he knew it, he saw a young girl with green hair that she tied in a bun on top of her head standing behind a headless body. As he looked at the body, he realised it was his body. He didn't have much time to think before his vision started to go dark. The last thing he saw was Pakura looking at him with a small smile.
Pakura didn't bother with the dead guy any longer before she used her Body Flicker to finish the injured Chunin off before moving forward.
Tatsuya told her that no matter how, as long as she can dispose of her enemies, it's her win. There's no honour in a life and death battle. That was the reason she was able to kill these three so easily without even using her Kekkei Genkai. But if any one of them was a sensor, it wouldn't have worked out so well.

Pakura continued with this momentum for three days. For her, who was trained by Tatsuya, it wasn't difficult to stay on the battlefield non-stop for many days. The Kazekage instructed her to get back on the base the moment she is tired or injured. If it wasn't for her stubborn attitude, the Kazekage wouldn't have allowed her to go alone.
She had already used most of the explosive tags she brought with her. The number of people she killed in the past three days was more than 150. She also made sure to reveal her Scorch Release so that they'll recognise it when the time comes.
'Not enough.' Pakura thought as she tossed the food pill inside her mouth. Unlike the normal food pill, the one she ate was very good. It was given to her by Mikasa.
She was sitting between some rocks. Although this location wasn't safe, it was more than enough for her to have some rest.
{Hello?} Pakura said in her mind. This was the first time she tried to use the Communication slip given to her by Tatsuya.
{What are you up to?} Tatsuya's voice sounded in her head. It was quite weird but she didn't mind.
{Is there a Kage tier inside the First Division's base?} Pakura asked.
{No. As long as the Sand doesn't send a Kage tier, the only one who'll be deployed is Mikasa. What are you planning?} Tatsuya asked, somewhat doubtful.
{I plan on raiding the First Division's base.}Pakura said.
{That'll be fun. Just don't overdo it.} Tatsuya said.
{Yeah.} She said before peeling off the Communication slip from her wrist.
Pakura looked at the Leaf's First Division Base, which was at a distance from her current position.
'Let's wait for a week.' Pakura thought. She informed the Sand village about her raid, asking for people to take over the First Division's Base before a Kage tier appears.
The Kazekage agreed and dispatched a team containing 15 Jonin and 40 Chunin along with the Honoured Siblings to take over the base after Pakura's surprise attack was done. The only reason Kazekage agreed to such a risky gamble was because of Pakura's achievements during the past three days.
With the Honoured Siblings taking lead, it won't be difficult for the team to arrive here unnoticed. After all, they both can rival a Kage when they fight together. Although it'll take a week for them to arrive, it wasn't a bad deal.
The whole week, Pakura observed the situation of the base from afar. She was on guard against any insects that belonged to the Aburame clan.
After a week passed and she confirmed that the team has arrived, the first thing Pakura did was kill the two Konoha Shinobi who were on guard duty around the base. The only thing she was careful about was the Aburame and the Hyuga clan while sneaking around the base.
She transformed into the Kunoichi she killed before changing her clothes and headband into that of Konoha Shinobi. Even for her, it was impossible to infiltrate the base without anyone noticing. So she decided to do what Tatsuya and Mikasa would do, barge in with full force.
She walked in front of the entrance, there was a guard with white eyes sitting there. It was a Hyuga clan member. As he looked at Pakura, veins popped out near his eyes.
Pakura used Body Flicker to get near the guy before slitting his throat. Although she was quick, the base was already alarmed.
She placed the two explosive tags she had around the entrance before she disappeared.
BOOM*
The explosion created quite a commotion inside the Base. No one in the Leaf expected the Sand to attack the base so soon. During this Commotion, Pakura appeared in the centre of the base before she started killing people with her Scorch Release.
"It's Pakura from the Sand." Someone shouted as he looked at his comrades who turned into dry corpses the moment they came in contact with the small suns floating around Pakura.
Seven small suns were floating around Pakura, killing anyone they touched. Even if someone tried to protect themselves with Chakra, normal Jonin won't be able to do it.
'Water Release: Water Bullet'
Many of the surrounding Shinobi used water-related Jutsu to counter Pakura's Scorch Release. As the water collided with the small sun, mist covered the whole area.
Pakura already knew about her weakness and she was trained in fighting inside the mist. The only thing she needed to do was hide her presence and kill others with the help of her sword. It's been half an hour since this began and she has already killed more than 40 people.
At this moment, a strong gust came, clearing the dense mist. Pakura looked around, she was surrounded by more than three hundred Leaf shinobis, but she didn't panic. The closer they were to her, the closer they were to death.
Everyone was on guard against the 10 years old girl in front of them. What they saw just now shocked many of them. They never heard of such a talented kid being born in the Sand village.
As everyone was on guard, Pakura raised both of her hands as several small suns started to gather above her head. In seconds, the sun above her head was many times bigger than her. Many Shinobi surrounding her used water release but the temperature was so high that it didn't even reach the sun.
Pakura's Kekkei Genkai also gave her absolute resistance against Scorch Release. She wasn't worried about it affecting her in any way. That was the only reason she created such a technique.
Seeing that some of them were trying to escape, Pakura smirked.
'Scorch Release: Great Steaming Explosive Blast'
BOOOOOM*
An explosion big enough to cover a radius of more than 100 meters. The temperature around Pakura was so high that the sand around her feet was melting. There was nothing left in the radius of 100 meters with Pakura as the centre, not even ashes remained. She used more than 70% of her chakra reserves for this explosion. Most of it was wasted since she didn't have enough time to activate the technique properly. But it was still enough to kill more than 150 people that were surrounding her. The rest of them were either seriously burned or weren't able to move because of the high temperature and injuries.
The base right now only had around 500 people. Most of the Jonins who were close to her were dead. That first explosion was also the signal for the team prepared by the Kazekage to barge into the Leaf's base.
Not long after, the team arrived and it wasn't difficult to take over the base. Those who resisted were killed on the spot while some were kept alive to torture them for information. The Hyuga and Uchiha clansmen were captured without a delay.
After a day, the whole first division base, including the supplies stored, now belonged to the Sand village. After this incident, Pakura's reputation within the Sand village skyrocketed. Both of the villages weren't planning on deploying Kage tier shinobi before anything big happened. But no one expected that Konoha's base will be captured because of a 10-year-old girl.
Chiyo and Ebizō were both full of praises for Pakura. Now that they've settled down on this base, the Sand's momentum during the war increased tremendously. The Leaf was already changing strategies and planned to deploy their own Kage tier soon.
Even the Third Kazekage didn't expect the plan to go so smoothly, the main reason he sent Chiyo and Ebizō was to bring back Pakura in case something happened. But he was pleasantly surprised when he heard that the base was already under their control.
In the past 11 days, the Leaf lost around 900 people. Out of which more than 500 died because of Pakura. This gave her the title 'Pakura of the Scorch Release.' along with a bounty of 20 Million Ryo.
Meanwhile, the Sand lost around 500 people.
Both Mikasa and Tatsuya nodded in appreciation as they looked at the new addition to the Bingo Book.
"She made us proud," Mikasa said with a wide smile.
'What are you? Her mother?' Tatsuya thought.
"It's about time for us to enter the war," Tatsuya said.
"Yeah. My explosive tags have already killed more than 400 people. It won't be long before my Mangekyo awaken." Mikasa said while chanting 'space ability' again and again.
Tatsuya was also looking forward to his fight with Yato. If Yato didn't come to the battlefield, he would just do what he did last time. Barge in and destroy half of the Sand village.
It was about time for the real fight to begin.

Rewrite -> https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/55140/stranger-than-fiction 150k words of rewritten and new content, updating 3 times a day. Faith is like ice-cream. It comes in all flavors. Greek, Norse, Sumerian, Christian— just name it and it's there. Adventures, on the other hand, are like credit cards. The first taste is free, but the price only goes up from there. Family heirlooms, now those are true evil. You get burdened with them for sentimental reasons even if they’re icky. For Lukas Aguilar, it was a pendant. A small, weird metal nib with absolutely no vampiric tendencies. All he wanted was to finish the job at hand, and get on that book he had been postponing for a while now. Instead he got served with an apocalypse for breakfast, a cave full of eldritch monsters for the company and the whims of a ruined goddess for his To-Do list. Really, a simple NO from the universe would have sufficed. Acknowledgments Editor-in-Chief: Solo Starfish Artwork: Exodus

Note to Reader: I understand this book is not for everyone, if there is a writer that can write to please everyone, I have never heard of them. The MC can be frustrating in his decisions as he learns to grow and accept what and who he is. I believe this reality is unavoidable. That being said, if you feel the need to give a review, please do so, just know that I will report you if all that review seems to do is blab toxic language and insult my literary choices without giving constructive advice or alternatives. That's not just a me policy, that's a policy of this website. I'm not writing this note because I'm a writer who does not acknowledge that there are faults in my work. I know there are. That's what happens when it hasn't been professionally edited by someone other than the author. I'm saying this because I'm sick of reading 1 star or 0.5 star rated reviews that seem to do nothing but hate on the book because they don't like the story. No comments on grammar, ways to improve or suggestions for better story arcs. Just plain hate. It's not on, and I frankly shouldn't have to write this note, but needed to get it off my chest. In saying all that, thank you to those who do leave reviews that don't fall into the above category. Your appreciation of my work, or alternatively, your willingness to give advice for improvement, is appreciated.

Shieldmaiden: Unbroken
An instant is all that's needed to change a persons life. A single encounter. A single desire can bring together many people to change the world. One thought. From the moment humanity began its course of self-destruction, there were those who desired to change the world for the better. To stop the harm to their planet, and themselves, a group of people came together and formed a world from their imaginations. They decided that humanity could not be a part of the world they would destroy, and would allow the world to recoup. They would pull the people from their world in groups, and until everyone was gone, every month more people would be brought to this new world. An unfamiliar world. An unfamiliar people. An unfamiliar system. I never expected to write a LITRPG, or an Isekai, and I'm not confident I can do it well, but I liked writing the first chapters, so I'm gonna try my best! Also, I don't recommend reading it on mobile.
