《Reborn In Naruto With My Girlfriend》12- Pakura of the Scorch Release

Mikasa Pov-
After a whole night of debating about what the hell Ryūmyaku was, we ended up with a sleepless night. To make matters worse, the Hokage summoned us as soon as we were about to sleep. If it wasn't for Tatsuya, I would've blown up half of the village. We wanted to change but it was too troublesome. I directly stuffed all my clothes into the inventory, as I summoned new clothes from the inventory and to my surprise, I was wearing them.
'Finally, a real use for the inventory rather than just storing some 5 million explosion tags or some 300 gallons of blood.'
Yeah, there are two clones permanently creating explosion tags for us. Although the number is low, each of the explosion tags we have uses natural energy along with chakra so its power is at least five times the normal ones. It's to blow up evidence later on.
Tatsuya did the same trick and we both left our house. We could just pop up in the Hokage's office but being late is better.
As we reached the Hokage's office, we were greeted by the usual faces. It was Hirizen, Shikado, Hayate and Fukame. The Uchiha clan is getting along with the village just fine now, mostly because of me and Tatsuya. Who knows what these guys were up to.
"There's a mission for you two," Shikado said.
"What mission?" Tatsuya asked. I was curious as well. We don't get many missions, most of them are either information gathering or capturing someone. The last time we did an assassination mission, we ended up killing around 100 shinobi along with our target while destroying some mansions. Honestly, most of the missions we did ended up in a mess. So we don't get missions that often.
"It's a simple mission. First, lower your chakra level to that of a civilian." Shikado said. Hayate, being a sensor, checked our chakra level and nodded. If one doesn't use sage mode or natural perception, they won't be able to see through our disguise.
"Your mission is to sneak into Sand and cause some trouble, the reason why you are going is because of the Flying Thunder God," Shikado said with a serious look.
[Chatroom
Mikasa- Our mission is to cause chaos. Finally, a worthy mission.
Tatsuya- Yeah, and there's only one way.
Mikasa- Mayhem.]
"We understand." To everyone's surprise, we were now all smiles. Unlike our usual bored expression while accepting a mission.
"Your main focus should be something that'll make them stop their military preparation for some time. At this point, the second shinobi war is inevitable. But we can still delay it by a year or two. Stone and Rain have been against each other, leaving Sand in a favourable position." The Hokage said.
"Okay," I said with a smile. We didn't care about this stuff, just tell us what should we destroy and be done with it.
With our business over, we decided to leave the village. Using Flying Thunder God is a much faster way, but we don't wanna ruin the fun.
"Let's have some fun." Tatsuya suddenly said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"The current leader of Sand is the Third Kazekage, the magnet release user," I said as I remember that Orochimaru summoned him against Sasori. 'Now that I think about it, what's Orochimaru doing? We haven't seen him ever since we came to this world nor heard anything about his current whereabouts at all.'
"Yeah, he is hailed as the strongest Kazekage even now. I wonder how Sasori killed such a person." Tatsuya said with a smile.

"Either Obito helped him or he used poison. Since the Third Kazekage isn't a puppet user, I doubt he'll have more knowledge about poisons than Sasori." I said what I believed to be the most appropriate guess, to which Tatsuya nodded.
"His Kekkei Genkai is similar to mine, he uses magnet release to manipulate iron sand while I use the Ketsuryūgan to manipulate liquids with high metal concentration. The catch is that he can't manipulate liquid with high iron concentration while I can't manipulate raw iron like him." Tatsuya was thinking out loud again.
"Can't you just copy-paste his Kekkei Genkai as you did with the Wood Release?" I asked.
"Troublesome. No matter which Kekkei Genkai it is, replicating it will take the same amount of time it did with Wood Release. Not to mention getting used to it." He complained.
"Whatever. So what's the plan?" I asked.
"Let's do this, I'll fight the Third Kazekage. You can fight the next Kage tier we meet, how about it? You still owe me one from our match in the Academy." Tatsuya said with a smile.
"Can't we just release Shukaku from his seal?" I asked.
"What fun will that be? Since we've already met the Raikage and Tsuchikage, it's fine to add another one to the list. And I want to see how strong is the Third Kazekage. He should be stronger than the next generation of Kage. You can go around destroying stuff if you want to, just don't reveal your identity by using the Sharingan." Tatsuya said, clearly looking forward to the fight with the Third Kazekage.
"I know. Most of our techniques aren't known by anyone." Tatsuya handed me a white mask, with nothing but two holes for eyes.
[One-time Product- Thief's Mask
Will hide the wearer's identity for 24 hours.
Won't fall off no matter what, unless the user takes it off.
Can only be used once.]
"That's convenient," I said as the mask in my hand disappeared.
"Let's go," Tatsuya said as the Konoha headband on his forehead and the mask in his hand disappeared. As for me, I didn't wear the headband most of the time anyway.
We travelled until midnight, before getting bored of it. So we decided to use the Flying Thunder God and appear near the Sand village. It was fairly simple to sneak inside, with our chakra hiding technique, there's no way any sensor could've sensed us. Unless they use sage mode or natural perception like us.
We were now roaming around the Sand village, the security is very lax, probably because they are busy with preparations. We felt a huge amount of chakra coming from a place at the end of the village.
"So that's Shukaku, the one tail," Tatsuya said.
We didn't have much to do, so we captured a shinobi on guard duty to read his memories.
"So that building there is the Kazekage's house," I said while looking at the building in the centre of the village.
"Let's start the pl-" Before Tatsuya could finish what he was saying, we heard the sound of metal clashing not far from us. We noticed them long ago but didn't bother with them. Now that they are fighting, we decided to check it out.
Tatsuya Pov-
As we reached the place, we saw two men fighting against a girl our age. Well, more like playing with her. She had long green hair with one short and a long strand of hair with orange tips framing each side of her face.

"Pakura of the Scorch Release" Mikasa muttered.
"This seems to be a test for her, those two aren't even trying to kill her. But they are making sure that she won't realise it. She believes she's gonna die. They are probably trying to awaken her Scorch Release." I said as I watched the many small wounds on Pakura's body.
"How about you take her?" Mikasa said.
"You don't mind me having other women?" I asked. Although we planned on taking one or two future S-ranks, it was more like a master-apprentice thing. What she was suggesting now was different.
"It's not like you didn't have a physical relationship with other girls in our old world. And honestly, I know no matter how hard they try, they can't overtake me. It's better to know who you are messing around with rather than getting surprises later on." She said with a smug look. 'Don't make it sound like I am gonna mess around!' I internally screamed.
’Don’t tell me she swings both ways. No! It can’t be. Right?’ I thought something but ignored it with all my might the next second before getting to work.
"Fine. Then let's get to work." I said as I activated my Ketsuryūgan. Enhancing my speed with chakra, I rushed toward the two Chunins before tapping on their shoulders. No one noticed this except for Mikasa. The Ketsuryūgan can place genjutsu upon someone while making eye contact, but it can place an even stronger genjutsu if the user touches the target. That's something that the Sharingan can't do.
Now that the two were under my control, they started to emit a high level of bloodlust, although weak when compared to me or Mikasa, Pakura was having a hard time standing.
The two then used 'Earth Release: Earth bullet' as they attacked Pakura together. Any hope she had left for living was now gone.
Before she could close her eyes and resign to her fate, I appeared in front of her while cutting the earth bullets with my blood sword. I glanced at her, she was having a hard time comprehending what just happened.
I disappeared from her vision as I paralysed the two 'attackers' with lightning release. I walked toward the still confused Pakura, standing right in front of her.
"It's alright now, don't worry," I said with a kind smile. Pakura started crying while she hugged me. It took her a while before she got back to herself.
"Thank you for saving my life." She said with a look that I knew she was already experiencing her first love.
"It's alright. But why were they chasing after you?" I asked with a confused look.
Pakura shook her head, saying she doesn't know.
"They're still alive, so let's ask them," I said as I moved towards the tied up Chunins. I removed their masks and with a thud, Pakura fell to her knees.
"Sensei, why? Why is it you?" She kept muttering while looking at the man in his late 20s who was looking at her in resentment. Of course, he is still under my control.
"Why? That was our plan from the very start, why do you think you have no parents? Because we killed them." He said with a mocking smile.
Pakura started sobbing again, she was on the verge of a mental breakdown but my sudden hug startled her. She didn't say anything and started crying again. The only difference is that I am the one hugging her now.
I promptly ignored the laughter I could hear thanks to my superhuman hearing. 'Don't tell me she did it so that I will have to do something like this!' Now I was the one on the verge of a mental breakdown. Mikasa played me by the nose, the bait being a harem. 'She needs to be punished.' I decided.
I noticed that Pakura was mumbling something now while blushing, I noticed that I was still hugging her.
"Are you alright now?" I asked as she nodded. I let her go before turning toward her Sensei.
"Why did you try to kill her?" I asked in an angry voice.
"It was Kazekage-Sama's order." He replied.
"W-Why?" Pakura asked in a shaky voice, standing behind me while gripping the back of my t-shirt.
"You are a descendent of a clan that we eradicated because of their Kekkei Genkai. We took you in just to confirm if it was true or not. As it was confirmed that you are indeed from that clan, we decided to kill you." 'I wonder if I should add a bit more drama to the story.' I thought as I listened to Pakura's Sensei.
Pakura's grip on my t-shirt tightened, I didn't say anything as I patted her head. Although we are the same age, I am a bit taller than her.
After a while, she moved towards her sensei with a Kunai in her hand. As she was standing in front of him, she said "Thank you for taking care of me, even if it was fake. Goodbye, Sensei." as she slit his throat along with his companion. Her hands were shaking while she was doing it, indicating that it was her first time killing someone, not to mention her sensei.
'She has a strong spirit for her age. I had quite a few nightmares after my first kill. How nostalgic.' I thought.
I could somewhat feel what Pakura's sensei was feeling. Anger, resentment, shame, loss, worry and most importantly, fear. With those feelings, the guy died.
She turned towards me and said, "Thank you for saving my life." She tried her best to look sincere, but the blush on her face betrayed her.
'She's trying to run away from what just happened to her, and it's increasing her feelings towards me.'
"As I said earlier, don't worry about it, but who are you?" I said.
"I am Pakura, I recently graduated from the Academy." She said.
"Nice to meet you Pakura," I said with a smile.
"Nice to meet you too." She blushed again. 'Is it because she's young?'
"What are you going to do now?" I asked her, making her blushing face sad again.
"I don't know. The one who took me in was Sensei. The Kazekage and the village already abandoned me." She said with a depressed look.
"Hey, don't be like that. You'll look way cuter if you smile." I said, dying inside. 'Blegh!' I puked internally while the laughter in the background increased. 'Double Punishment'
She looked at me with teary eyes. Probably because she was never treated with such care. Suddenly, her expression turned into one of realisation.
"Um, who are you?" She was visibly embarrassed that she didn't even ask my name.
"I am Shiba Tatsuya, a shinobi from Konoha," I said, making her eyes widen from the shock.
"You need to leave, what if the Kazekage finds out? Why are you even here? What if someone caught you?" She went into panic mode.
'Instead of me being from an enemy village, she's more concerned about my safety? That's a good start.' I thought as I smiled.
"Don't worry. I am not alone here, and as you know I am quite strong." I said while patting her head, which calmed her down.
"Why are you here?" She asked.
"The Sand village is planning to start the second shinobi war, although the war is inevitable, we are here to delay it even if it's only by a few years. A lot of innocent people will be killed, just like how they planned on killing you." I said. It's not a lie, since they did kill her after the third shinobi war.
'I wonder if her 9-year-old brain can process something like this.' I thought and to my surprise, Pakura nodded. She is a lot more mature than other kids our age.
I took her left hand before placing it between both of my hands, making her squeal. As I removed my right hand, a mark appeared on her wrist.
"What's this?" She asked while looking at the mark.
"If you are ever in danger, just put some chakra in it and I'll come to save you." Her expression brightened, she believed me instantly. What I placed on her wrist was the Flying Thunder God Mark, along with a Spy seal. Allowing me to hear what she's talking about.
After introducing her and Mikasa, I told her to go back and stay in her house as if nothing happened and said that I'll visit her in four days, so she must be alone at that time. I asked her about where her home is, just to make sure we don't end up destroying it accidentally. Her house was at the corner of the village, near the training grounds, so it won't be affected.
She left with one last look over the dead body of her sensei.
"Aren't you good at manipulating kids?" Mikasa said with a mocking smile.
'Triple Punishment.' I thought.
"It's probably better for her than being betrayed by the village she served her whole life. Oh, it's almost morning, let's give everyone a nice morning present." I said as we both equipped the masks from our inventory.
As we walked toward the centre of the village, we stopped before the Kazekage's home. There were guards but they didn't notice us at all.
Both of us enhanced our strength with chakra and,
BOOOOM*
A loud noise was heard throughout the village, several kilometres of ground cracked, starting from the centre of the village while the Kazekage's house was in ruins.
The rubble moved as black iron sand started to rise from different spots, covering all the guards that were about to be buried alive suddenly.
"As expected of the strongest Kazekage, saving all the guards in an instant," I said while looking at the man standing midair on the platform made of similar black iron sand.
"Who the hell are you?" The Third Kazekage asked as he released all those guards from his iron sand.

8 160Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.

8 240Penance's Pursuit
This future sci-fi fantasy follows the progression of a few main characters as they navigate their unique spheres of life in the year 2242. The story focuses heavily on themes of guilt, personal failing, and penance. The conflict revolves around two main concepts: Man vs. Himself (Internal conflict) and Man vs Man (External conflict). The internal conflicts focus on many of the characters' inner demons and how each of them deal with the scars of the past. The external conflict centers around a mysterious criminal organization called Nexus that conducts human trafficking. There are three groups of main characters. The first group belong to a vigilante mercenary organization called Ab Aeterno. Titus, Venna, and Benjamin are Achilles team. This team is a part of Ab Aeterno's special forces branch which is designated Demon Stalkers. Their goal and mission is to perform assassinations, abductions, and destabilization operations on criminal organizations throughout the solar system. Their current mission places them directly in the path of Nexus. Titus interacted with them in his past and they seem to have unlimited reach, resources, and power. As the team faces this threat, old wounds will surface and dangerous connections to the past will emerge. The second group of characters are on the Mars colony. Randal Page is an analyst for a talent scout company on Mars. He is faced with the reality that the company he thought he was working for is in fact Nexus. His story centers around his coming to realize the duplicity of the company he works for and then his response to the startling realization of his own ignorant involvement. Also on Mars is a woman named FaRarra Njokko. She is a Nexus sex slave in a brothel on Mars and is known by the stage name of Stardust. She is striving to escape when her path crosses with Randal. The final main character is Preston Coretel. He is a monk with a mysterious and shady past. He is on the run from Nexus in more ways than one. He is seeking sanctuary on an abandoned monastery space station in order to avoid agents of Nexus and to atone for his previous involvement with Nexus.
