《Al-Mos... Qui-t-o Live A Second Life》Chapter 37: Second Special Task

Inside the Ocean of Despair..
Three figures were already impatient to go outside as they have nothing to do but just look at the endless void.
"Controller... When can we go outside again? I'm already bored!!" I said to the system as the three of us have nothing to do this past few hours but plan and talk to each other.
"Answering the chosen host will cost the three chosen hosts 1 point." the controller said as if wanting to have a deal.
"Controller! You.. you are really shameless. Even by asking the time, you can't tell it to us unless we pay points?" Gail was as surprised as I was.
"Well, according to the system... we still have 30 hr 45 min and 06 sec... And since we had already stayed for 1 day, it is possible that we still have 6 hr 45 min and 06 sec." Jant said as he orally deducted the answer in his mind.
"Deduct the 4 hours and 48 minutes, making it 1 hr 57 min and 06 sec. So we still need to wait for approximately 2 hours." Gail corrected Jant, making me feel out of place. I've never been good with numbers and words making me feel a bit shy.
"Two hours... I'm already bored. I wanna go outside this dark room and go on another adventure." I said to the other two as I was already impatient to try the power we gained from enduring Air Pressure Leveling. I'm sure that we are already powerful enough to kill a beast king or something.
"We are also impatient as well, Grey. But we can't do anything about it, despite wanting to go outside." Gail said as she agreed with me.
Two hours has finally arrived, but it felt like we have waited for two years.

"Ding!! Three days had already ended. The three chosen hosts will be transported back to where the three chosen hosts were located previously." an expected notification echoed in our head, as the three of us become excited.
"Ding! A new special task was opened. Will the host want to accept the second special task or choose to pass?" the controller asked the three of us so suddenly that it caught us off guard before trying to transport us outside the Ocean of Despair.
"Controller, what special task is it? What's the punishment for failure?" Jant asked as he will only accept special tasks as long as it has less risk. Taking a risk for an unknown is too dangerous and regretful.
"Answering the chosen host... the second special task will be related to saving someone. Someone who is important for the world, Artificial.
Second Special Task: Save the Beast King Torsite, which was also known as The Genius King, from dying due to a lack of life essence.
Hint: To attain the strongest defensive power, Beast King Torsite has sacrificed half of his life essence. With Beast King Torsite, the world, Artificial, has become once again peaceful with his leadership as no other beast king is capable of defeating him. Torsite also has the highest IQ among all beast kings.
Remaining Time: 3 days and 12 hours.
Rewards: 300 points and a 40% deduction to the hostility of all beast kings.
Punishment for failure: The three chosen hosts will be hated by every beast king and the world Artificial will have a high chance of being destroyed. 20 points will be deducted as well.
Will the three chosen hosts accept the task?" the controller explained about the second special task that make the three of us a bit surprised. We didn't expect it to save a Beast King, that was trying to kill us.

"Eh? Controller, you trying to say that we should save someone that almost killed us?" Jant asked a bit annoyed as he was quite like Gail and me. The three of us weren't the type of people that would forgive easily, though we did sometimes.
"Beast King Torsite is different than the Beast King Snockie. Without that Beast King, the world will fall in chaos and the three chosen hosts will have a 75% of being killed." the controller said, trying to convince us.
"Okay.. we accept it." I said to the controller, gaining two glares from the other two snakes.
"Grey... why did you accept that?" Gail asked me, although knowing the reason behind my agreement.
"Well, accepting it would not do any harm to us. And besides, what if we complete it? We will gain something then, don't you think so?" I try to defend myself since it's indeed not harmless to us. Even if we fail or succeed, nothing would change.
"We know that. But.. saving a Beast King is risky. Although it is not risky if we failed and we will gain something if we succeed but how about the process? And also, the controller is a cunning existence. It will not say anything about the task other than that small detail anymore, so we would need to ask for clues, exchanging our precious points for an answer. And if we failed, we will also lose 20 points." Gail said the reason for her disagreement that make.. me feel ashamed. I.. I didn't think about that and got blind by the offer that was placed in front of me.
"Ding! The chosen host, Grey Dy, has already accepted the special task. Second Special task is in progress." the controller said in our head, afraid that we might change our minds.
"Sorry, Gail.. I.. I didn't think properly." I apologized to Gail, as I didn't dare to look at her as shame would eat me.
"Grey, it's fine. No need to be embarrassed. All of us made mistakes." Gail said as she tried to comfort me as white light once again reappear before eating the three of us.
A nauseous sucking force has dragged the three of us again somewhere, placing us in the place where we barely manage to escape from the attack of Beast King Snockie.
"Guys... The three world-wrecker has been found. Quickly tell it to our beast king!" A big hawk that was flying in the sky, suddenly yelled when it saw us being transported out of nowhere, making the peaceful forest busy and restless.
Countless animals were alarmed by this as some go toward their own beast king while some immediately pounced on the three of us.

Crimson Pervert
Markus gets - quite literally - thrown into an RPG Fantasy world. Casually gaining game-breakingly great power is the very first thing of course, but afterwards travelling the world, building a harem and having plain fun is on the agenda. Note: No room to hide the fact that this is heavily inspired by the "Death March" web novel. I will give it my own touch by not having a Japanese-ish main character (Japan is cool and everything, but why have a harem if you never ever do something "H" with them?). Everything (characters, story, etc) is basically my creation, but I consider it a re-think of the original, so I can neither call it an "Original" nor a "Fan Fic". Don't expect it to be overly innovative. I will add an 18+ warning as soon as something like that happens, the first chapter just has a bit of undramatic blood. Comments welcome.
