《I Just Want To Be A Blacksmith》16: Rewards II

After Octavia went out to finish some business, Rhax plumped down on the bed, he really wanted to strike with a hammer for some reason. It was like a new obsession of his, he doesn’t understand the phenomena, but the moment he finished his bayonet. He felt like there was something inside him that opened, he had been thinking of materials to create items with, the whole time.
It was like he found some hidden part of himself, he wondered how amazing would a sword made out of Dragon teeth be, or how tough would an armor made out of the hide of the Nemean Lion would be?
But what made him really understand that he somehow started enjoying smithing and swinging a hammer, was the thrill he got when he was working on the bayonet. He felt every cell in his body throb with joy every time he slammed down the hammer on the hot metal.
There is something inside of him that has appeared, it appeared the moment he held the unfinished bayonet in his hands, it was shouting at him to make a better item, or to make more. And what surprised him, he was leaning toward the feeling, he enjoyed making the bayonet, even though it isn’t complete and will probably become a normal bayonet. But the feeling of creating something that may one day protect its owner, or slay a powerful foe made him love the idea of blacksmithing. He looked down on it previously, but he understood now, without a blacksmith, there is no shiny sword, without a blacksmith, there is no trusty armor and without a blacksmith, then loot is simply junk.
While he was contemplating his life and what he did until this moment. The lifeless voice of the system rang in his ears.
[It has been detected the player has woken up]

[You have gained 3 points in Stamina]
[You have gained 3 points in Dexterity]
[You leveled up!]
[You leveled up!]
[You leveled up!]
Rhax smiled a big smile, he was now level 7. Only three levels and then he can choose a class. But he still hasn’t made up his mind, does he want to become a fighting class or blacksmith?
But he knew either way he can still fight or create items, as Ethea has no limitations on what a class can do. But some classes do have advantages, like a blacksmith has different skills than a soldier. Thus, if a soldier and a blacksmith who have the same experience in forging did a weapon at the same time, the blacksmith would make the better weapon because they will have skills that help them. But this is not the status quo, the soldier can train and eventually gain skills that help him like the blacksmith.
Rhax commanded in his head: ‘Status.’
[Name: Marcus (Rhax)
Level: 7
Class: None
Strength: 17
Stamina: 14
Dexterity:12]
“Tsk!” Rhax was not satisfied with his stats, his dexterity and stamina are lower than his strength. It may bring him trouble in the future.
“Okay, I have to increase my dexterity until it is at least 15 points. But what should I do to increase my dexterity?” Rhax contemplated loudly as he started pacing around the room. He was thankful for Octavia for healing him, or he would’ve been bedridden for weeks.
According to Octavia, Lord Bram requested the Head Priest of the Terran Church in Rlia to come and heal him. Rhax is grateful for that.
Boom! Suddenly the door to his room was opened and four familiar faces entered the room. Peter and Julia looked like they haven’t slept in days, Olivia and Adam were crying as they sprinted toward him.

“Rhax!” Both of them screamed as they jumped on him. Rhax happily returned the hug and laughed.
Olivia was crying extra hard, she had snot and tears all over her face. She was hiccupping while trying to speak to him. “We….thought….you died….I was so scared.” She buried her face in his chest and cried more.
“Shush, it is okay, I’m sorry for scaring you. But I was injured saving that pretty woman over there.” Rhax pointed at Octavia who just entered the room. She blushed at his compliments.
“Really? So, are you okay?” Adam asked him with teary eyes.
Rhax smiled at him and ruffled his hair. “Of course, I am. You should’ve seen me take out three people by myself.” Rhax posed, but it was kinda a bad pose because Olivia was hanging on to him.
Adam’s eyes glowed like they were made out of diamond. “Three people? By yourself? This is amazing!”
“I know, right?” Rhax smirked cockily.
His smirk vanished as he saw Peter and Julia come at him. He smiled faintly. “Sorry for making you worry.” He apologized.
Peter slapped him on the back. “What the hell are you talking about? We should be sorry; you have been in Rlia for like a week and have been injured fatally twice.”
“Yes indeed, the most important thing is that you are okay.” Julia added as she gave him a hug then started checking him for damage.
“Wait!” Octavia’s voice sounded in the room, bringing attention to her. “Rhax, you've been in Rlia only for one week and been injured twice? How?”
Peter smirked, then pointed at Rhax, who in turn rolled his eyes because he knows what will come next.
“You heard correctly, My Lady…” Peter started, then he deepened his voice and started speaking about how Rhax saved Olivia from a Direwolf and how Rhax killed the Direwolf with his bare hands. Octavia’s jaw hanged looser and looser every second.
Rhax slapped Peter on the back. “How many times I told you, I had a goddamned knife.”
“Whatever.” Peter shrugged.
“What do you mean, whatever? It is an important detail, now look at Octavia. She is looking at me like I’m a complete monster.”
“Like, you are not one already? Motherfucker, you killed a direwolf and then killed three bandits A-L-O-N-E. If that is not a monster behavior then I don’t know what is?”
“That is easy, dumbass. Did you forget I was a fucking mercenary that was literally hired to kill monsters? It is my job.”
“Is that statement supposed to refute my assumption?”
“Enough of you two or you will sleep in the streets!” Julia cut their argument.
Olivia and Adam were laughing at Rhax’s and Peter’s argument. Octavia on the other hand was dumbfounded.
“So…Rhax…you were a mercenary hired to kill monsters?” Octavia stuttered but from excitement and not fear.
Rhax smirked and pounded on his chest. “Aye, I was a mercenary.”
“This is so cool!” Octavia exclaimed. Rhax could touch the excitement pouring out of her.
‘Is this girl really a noble?’ Rhax pondered in his head, she didn’t resemble any of the stereotypes he knew about Nobles.
They all sat down and chatted some more, Rhax changed his clothes because the ones he wore were filled with tears and snot. The door of the room opened and a servant appeared. He bowed and spoke. “My Lady, dear guests. Lord Bram expects you in his office.” Rhax was nervous, it was time to meet the big boss.
