I studied the Crystal for quite a while; after some time I grabbed a large clay pot and put the Crystal inside it.

Before I started messing with it, I wanted to see if I could recreate the same process and make another one.

A grabbed a piece of Pure Glass and started to carve it out, then I repeated the same, blood and powder, slathering process I opted to do before.

After covering it in Inner Resin, and repeating the same blood and powder process yet again, I dunked it in the blood, poured the powder mix, and pumped it full of Inner Energy.

I repeated the Process about 20 times before the blood started to boil, immediately I stopped and left the Glass Crystal inside the bloodbath for an additional period of time.

When the time seemed right I dipped my hand in the water, and a Reddish Gold Crystal, the same color as before, emerged between my grasp as I pulled it out.

It was a reliable process, I found myself in a rhythm and continued trying to make the Energy Crystals.

This time I tried it with multiple Glass Crystals; after preparing the Crystals as I had done before, I dunked 10 Crystals into the bath.

After some powder mix, I began to inject energy through the ‘Constant Flow Stream Technique’.

After some time the process of injecting the energy became arduous.

The previous reactions I had observed, that told me that the Crystals had reached their energy intake limit, hadn’t appeared.

I alternated between injecting energy and replenishing my energy.

As it turned out, the amount of Inner Energy my body could hold was not enough to fill up ten of the prepared Pure Glasses.

It started to feel like how I felt after my first time executing Inner Breath Release.

I was emptying my body of Inner Energy so quickly and refilling it as best I could with ‘Torrential Stream Technique’, the process was putting a considerable amount of strain on my body.

Eventually after my tenth refill I finally saw the bloodbath start to glow.

I stopped Injecting Energy into the blood and left the crystal shards to bathe and consolidate their energy.

After a length of time I retrieved all 10 Crystals from the Bath and started to examine them.

They looked just like the ones I had made before, a beautiful crimson gold glow.

The more I looked at them the more I felt satisfied with myself and my crafting abilities.

What uses could I get out of an Item like this?

How could I Extract Its energy?

I grabbed onto both ends of the Energy Crystal and proceeded to try to create an energy circuit.

I pushed energy through the Crystal and attempted to try and absorb the energy within it.

The Energy I Injected within it, I immediately lost connection to, and I had trouble sensing any Inner Energy entering my body.

It was evident the method I was trying wasn’t going to give me any results.

I stopped injecting energy into the Crystal and instead focused both of my hands on the little bit of warmth I felt on my hands.

I could feel a little bit of energy entering my body, but it was hard for me to get a grasp on it.

I took a break and ripped up another Yellow Seal as the effects of the prior one had long worn out.

After my senses and focus improved, I took a look at the Crystal once more.

I could see the condensed energy within the Crystal swirling around in great amounts.

Most of the energy stayed within the Crystal but there was some that radiated to its exterior.

I started to Revolve the Energy within me, activating my Inner Energy Reserves to their most potent state.

With closed eyes and a slow breath I did my best to focus on the palms of my hands holding the Crystal and interacting with its radiant energy.

Thanks to the Seal I felt like I could see with my own eyes the inner motions and interactions of Inner Energy within my body.

All I had to do was focus on the feeling of a particular part of my body, and my mental vision would be able automatically focus and observe it.

I saw the powerful flow of Inner Energy passing through points within my hands and fingers, as well as the entering of the Radiant Inner Energy into my body.

It was like a lost fog drifting in the wind, finding its way within me, and finally getting caught up by the natural flow of Inner Energy within my body.

The Yellow Seal had given me the ability to discover that my body did have the ability to absorb Inner Energy from my surroundings; the problem was that the interactions were so minute and hard to notice, that had my senses not been altered I would still be ignorant to such interactions.

From what I could observe the ability of foreign Inner Energy to become a part of my body, depended on whether it could interact with a strong Inner Energy stream to guide its way.

The problem that I saw was that the cloud was too dispersed, and my stream was too small, for me to absorb much of the Crystals Radiant Inner Energy.

After much thought I came up with an Idea.

I started to execute ‘Inner Whirlpool’ in both of the palms of my hands.

I had never executed that technique in a more confined part of my body like my hands, only having done it within my lungs or within my stomach; where the largest Reserves of Inner Energy were.

Immediately I felt the pressure within my hands, I made sure to keep the stream of energy entering my hands small, simultaneously allowing large amounts of energy to flow out, and keeping the Energy Whirlpool the same size to prevent any internal damage.

After having stabilized the execution of the technique within both of my hands, I again focused on the energy coming out of the crystal and passing through my hand.

Soon the radiant cloud of energy started to be sucked up by the Whirlpool stream, and I started to get a more tangible sense of the Crystal's energy becoming part of my body.

Immediately I executed another Technique, Torrential Stream, through which I made a path for the new energy, and allowed it to start filling my body as soon as it exited the Whirlpool.

When I looked closely I noticed that the foreign energy was no longer entering my body in the form of a cloud, but instead followed a direct path straight into the stream within my hands in large quantities.

It was as if the energy was following a command, and flowing through a predestined path in an orderly fashion.

I opened my eyes and I observed how the Crystal was growing fainter and fainter by the second.

Through my enhanced senses I observed how the energy within the Crystal split into two hemispheres and was gushing out of the Crystal at an exaggerated rate.

It seemed I had caused a chain reaction.

I focused on controlling my Techniques simultaneously and absorbing the energy, a feat that was easier said than done.

The whole process pushed me to the limit of my mental and physical endurance.

Right when I felt like I was about to pass out, the flow of the Crystal Energy slowed down, and I started to feel less pain.

After some time the Glow on the Crystal disappeared, and all that was left was an opaque brown semi transparent Crystal.

From what I could tell the Crystal had been drained of its energy.

The whole process had taken me about two hours, but my hard work and effort had been worth it.

I now knew that absorbing the energy of the crystal into the body was possible, one just needed to focus.

And it was actually worth it to do so, as even though it was two hours of arduous work, the amount of energy one could absorb directly from the Crystal was many times more than what one could accumulate through normal Inner Energy Breathing Techniques.

The Inner Energy within the Crystal was potent as well, as if it wanted to reside and empower my body.

I wasn’t sure If the Inner Energy within the Crystal was the same as Natural Inner Energy, or if I had changed the quality or make up of it in some manner through my Infusion process, but it didn’t seem to be vile or harmful, and even seemed to have improved in quality, so I was satisfied.

I grabbed one of the full Crystals and lifted it up above my face.

After some thinking I finally decided on a name for it.

My new Creation was to be called a “Focus Shard”, and I was certain it would become the new lifeline of Martial Citadel.
