《Potestera- Race for Power》Ch 68 Young Genius Limen
Advertisement
After a while the kid came up to me and started to ask me questions.
“Stand Owner, these are all the weapons you have? You seem to know a Hunter. My master told me finding a good weapon made out of a powerful beast's body parts will resonate well with my talent in Inner Energy. I see you have a lot of beast bone spears but they look of low quality. Tell me if you have anything better.”
What the kid said surprised me.
I had no idea someone that young could learn how to wield Inner Energy.
Then again I had always been a scrub, geniuses were geniuses since birth.
Who was I to compare?
Still I decided to do a little poking around.
“I'm impressed that you're an Inner Martial Artist at such a young age, if you show me at what level your Inner Energy manipulation skill is at, I might be able to help you.”
The kid grinned as if he's heard those kinds of compliments a million times before.
“People are always trying to see a glimpse of the vastness of the heavens, ok Stand Owner, be prepared to be amazed. Behold my powerful technique Inner Energy Victorious Sphere.”
The kid was more dramatic than I had expected, but still after some time I found out that he had all the excuses to be so.
He truly was a genius, after a couple of seconds of intense concentration, after his cringey technique name shouting, a silver ball of energy condensed in his hand and remained there until the kid finally decided to disperse it.
I was nowhere near close to having control of Inner Energy at that level and the kid was only half my age.
This kid was a monster!
The way the world distributed talent was truly unfair.
“So what do you think, Stand Owner, are you speechless?”
“ I gotta admit kid, I'm impressed your level of control of Inner Energy is definitely at genius levels.
You said you were looking for good quality beast bone weapons, as it turns out I might just be able to help you. The only question is can you afford it?”
The kid sneered with arrogance at my suggestion.
“Of course I can afford it, who do you think I am? I'm the genius disciple of Bursting Vase Inner Martial Arts Dojo, a thing as trivial as a beast weapon is no matter for someone like me. Quickly show me what you got, stop playing games with me.”
Here it was the jackpot!
I hadn't thought that someone of this caliber would show up so quickly.
I was planning to first build up my reputation, and if possible after some time and a few big ticket sales make a name for myself for the quality of my items.
Little did I expect that the plan would be accelerated way ahead of schedule.
I went to the back of my stand and picked up a large rectangular wood and clay container where I had put the group of magic blood bathed spears made with beast bones.
The shafts of the weapons were made of Experts Yew, which I confirmed with Yupow when I tested the final weapon products, that it was excellent at channeling Inner Energy, although it couldn't hold too much of it.

Regardless, Yupow was surprised that this kind of wood was not more common knowledge, as the materials compatibility with Inner Energy was comparable to that of Inner Martial Iron and Steel, which were coveted prized materials for Inner Martial Artist, and were probably what the odd colored weapons in the weapons shop were made of.
To my surprise Yupow wasn’t aware of the existence of this material, so I wondered where the Guider had obtained this information on the Woods special qualities from.
I had sealed it with Resin mixed with Charcoal, Clay, Bright Powder and Mana Blossom giving it a magical durability.
After the blood bathing all the spears acquired magical properties, and caused damage exactly the same as the attribute the beast that I slew was adept at.
To be safe I gave the kid one of the spears that was bathed in the Mana Frog Blood, which caused neutral magical damage, and that was actually quite powerful due to its mixing with the Blue Mana Blossom, the bone that it had at the tip was the canine Fang of the Red Dawn Bear.
I had a feeling after testing it out, that because of the Bears attributes within the fang, the spear actually produced a powerful wide magical slash despite the thin spear tip it had.
The weapon definitely had many little secrets and functions to be unlocked, but seeing as how I wasn't too adept at magic I could only figure out its basic traits.
Regardless, I made sure I sounded like I knew what I was talking about when it came to the weapon I had personally crafted.
I didn't want to sound like a fool.
I pulled out the spear and slowly put it before his eyes.
“This beauty I have here might be more up to your standards, its name is the Red Dawn Magical Blood Spear, a special Magic Imbued Melee Weapon. I know you Martial Artists are picky in the kind of way you fight, but I've yet to hear any of you guys complain or reject the notion of a Magical Weapon. All the materials of which it's made out of are of high quality as well, and give it other exceptional features that go well with your talents and skill sets. Its shaft is made out of Experts Yew which is excellent at channeling and harmonizing not only with Magical Energy but also with the Inner Energy you have mastered. It's a top quality wood that will let you completely become one with this weapon. I heard your Master also wanted you to find a quality weapon made out of beast bone, well this weapons spear head and the rope that helps fasten it, is made out of the fang and tendons of the Red Dawn Bear, a powerful beast from the wilderness that even Magical Beasts respect, the weapons magical imbued properties give it special effects when attacking at close range and also translates the Bears essence into even more powerful strikes, in addition to its very powerful magical damage it can dish out. This is a kind of weapon that can grow with the user and I think is the perfect kind of weapon for a young Genius like yourself. As i'm sure you’re aware of, a Magical Weapon is not something you can find on average in the common market at least here in Volunterra, so there is no standard price point, but since i've taken a liking to you I figured this wonderful weapon is yours at the fair price of 2,000 Gold coins or its equivalent. What do you think?”

The little kid looked at the magical spear in wonder for a while before finally regaining his composure.
It was obvious he had liked the weapon and definitely was interested in it.
“Old Man if what you say is true then this is definitely a weapon worthy of a talent like myself, but, I can’t wrap my mind around how someone who carries and sells crappy stuff like the poking sticks over there, could carry something as valuable as a Magical Weapon without people knowing. It's like a coal shop selling gold on the side. Let me test it out to see if what you say is true.“
“But of course go right ahead, give it a whirl, I know you won't be disappointed.”
I handed the spear over to the kid and the kid grabbed onto the spear with eagerness apparent in his eyes.
He took on a very formidable fighting stance that probably was developed by his Martial Dojo.
It looked like a common wide weapon stance but I could catch profound nuances here and there.
The Organization this kid was a part of was definitely top notch.
He started doing quick concise and controlled swings that created and left behind a transparent blue streak in the air.
I wasn’t able to tell if he was employing Inner Energy, or how doing so would react with the Magical Energy in the spear.
That was something I had avoided mentioning, because I hadn't fully tested large amounts of Inner Energy fully entering and enveloping the whole weapon.
Yupow had only casually tested one of the spears without telling me anything else.
I still lacked the ability to use Inner Energy proficiently and on command so I couldn't test it out for myself.
“Wow even before I use Inner Energy I can feel the power behind each strike. Now let's see if what you said about the Wood is true.”
He took a different stance and pointed towards a direction where there were no people and the street led to an empty alley.
All the actions he was doing up to that point actually attracted a lot of attention and people started to pay attention to my stand and to what the Martial Kid was doing.
After a quick motion and profound micro movements, he thrusted the spear forward and up, pushing bluish silver Energy many meters in front of him in a vertical wave motion before dispersing into the air.
I knew the color variation between the original color of the kids Inner Energy ball, and the blue Magical Energy, compared to the color of the energy wave that came out, probably meant there was an interaction between both energies.
One that wasn’t violent or volatile to my relief.
As soon as the kid performed a small commotion was caused around the immediate crowd surrounding my establishment.
People started asking questions and murmuring amongst each other.
A man even walked up to the kid and asked him where he had gotten that spear.
The arrogant little kid, pleased at the attention he was receiving, ignored the man and walked up to me with a more respectful demeanor.
“Good Stand Owner, this weapon is good, i'm surprised a dingy stand like yours has such quality items such as these, I dare even say this is a Ranker level weapon, I would be hard pressed to find a weapon of this power around this City except maybe in the Black Market or in the private archives of of the Martial Way. My name is Limen, Genius Prodigy of Bursting Vase Dojo. I would definitely like to do more business with you in the future if you have more quality items like this one.”
“Of course it's my honor to meet you Young Expert Limen, my Name is Expert Guso. I'll be here in this square every week at the same time if ever you need something again. It brings me joy that you find my products satisfactory.”
“It's more than satisfactory its way more than I expected to find, I was supposed to wait until Master gained access to a Rankers Network Market for me to get a weapon like this, but I was getting impatient and so started snooping around the City in hopes I could find anything even remotely close to decent quality, except my hopes weren’t very high, your shop just so happens to be a gratuitous fortunate encounter I wasn’t expecting. You said you were selling it to me for 2,000 Gold Coins. I'd say that's a steal in my book, here this should be enough. I'll be on my way now Owner Guso hopefully we meet again.”
He reached out his small hand and handed me what felt like two coins in my hand, before promptly and quickly running away in a certain direction, probably excited to play with his new toy.
After he left I looked at the two coins he handed me and almost screamed out in joy.
He had given me two platinum coins instead of the 2,000 gold coins I had proposed.
Officially these two coins were equivalent in value to the 2,000 gold coins, but I knew that that was a bunch of crap.
This transaction had given me more profit than I had hoped for.
The true value of these platinum coins was substantially more than that of the gold coins.
My hard work had already paid off and on the first day too.
In the end the truth was that attaining as many platinum coins as I could before the day of the Ranker Event Gathering, was my ultimate goal in my ventures into the Business World.
For now I was 2 platinum coins richer and a step closer to being fully prepared for that day.
I wanted to call it a day and pack up my stuff to close up shop but before I could do so I suddenly had a large group of people swarm around me.
They all looked like experienced and formidable Martial Experts from different Organizations, it looked like a good amount of important people who recognized Limen’s background, paid attention to his actions and purchase, and were now looking to see what treasures my shop was harboring that the young Martial Master was so enthusiastically purchasing.
Not too long ago many of these same guys were sneering and mocking the appearance of my stand but now the tables had turned.

A Spirit Vein's Guide to Immortality
TL;DR Synopsis: Man dies from falling banana, gets interrogated but answers vaguely, suffers consequences Actual synopsis: Spirit veins. Many consider them to be the pillar on which the world of cultivation is built. These things served as the foundation for the first few realms that would allow humanity to achieve its everlasting dream of immortality. However, in the present age, these pockets of condensed energy only exist to be under the foundations of massive organizations, fostering a new generation of fighters while passively radiating the energy they contain. Nevertheless, spirit veins are still an important element in the world of cultivation, albeit much less so. With that in mind, have you ever considered what it would be like for someone to turn into a spirit vein? No? Well, Arthur never thought about it either. Going through the usual reincarnation schtick (if one could consider it usual), Arthur was eventually brought into a place where a god asked him where he would like to be reborn. Unsurprisingly, Arthur told the god his ideal rebirth. However, soon enough, he would come to realize that he should have been more specific with it. Now being reborn as the smallest spirit vein, or if you could even consider him a spirit vein, Arthur wondered what he could do other than wait for time to consume him…and that’s where the system came in. With it, he would experience multiple stories of hardships, adventure, romance, and action…all underground. Unless…? Do keep in mind that English is not my first language, so I would like to apologize in advance if there are any grammatical errors, typos, miscalculations and so on. In fact, I'd highly appreciate it if you tell me those mistakes. Also, this story focuses quite a lot on the gradual progression of the MC at the beginning, but in the long run, upgrading sprees would probably be more common. Thanks for reading this small note!
