《dreadnaught: scifi apocalypses space marine》b2c5: final chat

Rick stood outside the somewhat small cabin with a pair of Lycan guards on each side of the door, to the side of them away from the door was a small brazier so they would stay warm. It had been a week since his wife's trial and her readjustment was going as well as he expected it to.
Twice already she came close to where Adam was being hidden away and twice she was stopped before they were forced to kill her. They now knew she had a high level. Her charisma-based class had netted her massive amounts of exp during the tutorial and in her non-gamer air brain head she has gotten skills and abilities that made anyone under her level, and some over, listen to her requests when she really wants them to. And without realizing it, she has been doing that to find her kid, as well as forcing others to do things they do not want to do. Compromising their ability to survive.
“ Give me the bracelet.”
The initiate behind him hands him a plain box. He takes it and takes out the simple crystal-like bracelet before handing the now empty box back. This is the latest artifact that John and the rest of the think tank had come up with, combined with the neural sensor technology that was part of the original Warden-turned Dreadnaught armor and ability suppression stone the dwarves found when mining. He then takes a deep breath and closes his eyes knowing she has to be stopped.
“ Open it.”
The lycan guard nervously nods and does as instructed, He was barely through the door when they shut it behind him. For a moment he thought it might be a consideration for the cold, but with a second thought, he remembered how she got out last time. He shuddered thinking of the six injured that resulted in them listening to her.

When he came into the main room she was knitting socks. He did not even know she knew how to knit. She did not even look up to him as he moved to the wooden chair across from her. Almost as if she was expecting someone.
“ So what screwed up thing did David think I did this time? J walking? Did I use too much tp when I wiped my ass this morning?”
Rick ignored the snide remark and set the bracelet on the end of his knee.
“ Mary, I am here to present you with two choices...”
“ NO!!!”
Rick felt the force of her rejection and almost felt the temptation of grabbing the bracelet and tossing it in the fireplace. Instead, he closed his eyes and forced himself back in control. Even with his arm half raised to do the act.
“ Yorn was badly hurt yesterday because of you. If not for the backlash from some of the others if you just disappear, you would be dead already...”
Mary gave a humph and went back to her sewing.
“ So, it comes to the decision of the council you are to field test our new prisoner band...”
“ Really, now I am guinea pig to that asshole. How much longer are you going to kiss his ass?”
Rick clenched his teeth as he felt another wave of her power hit him. It was much stronger than the last time they talked, so he assumed she hit her level fifty milestone after the fight the day before.
“ David has been in a coma for the last ten days after he was escorted out during your trial.”
This caused Mary to pause and Rick took the chance to continue.
“ He lost access to the menus when he woke up. All he can do is access the log and read announcements. So he could not message us even if he wanted to. No Mary, everyone that is important thinks you are a threat. Twice now you went out looking for our son...”

Mary gives him a cold look.
“ My son you piece of shit.”
Rick heard his teeth crack as his mouth filled with blood, but still, he kept control. Taking a rag out of his picket and spitting into it and throwing it into the fire, looked at her once again. This time with none of the memory of the love the two used to have.
“ Put it on Mary. This is your last warning and your last chance.”
Rick stood and put the bracelet on the chair before walking out.
-----
Rick was barely halfway to the cabin that the maid and his son were in when the guard whistle was blown from the direction of the one Mary was staying in. Rick ignored it as he went inside to find the maid with a bottle of formula feeding his son. He only smiled briefly before walking into his bedroom and breaking into tears.
-----
David awoke and looked at the report of what happened after he blacked out from the pain during the trial and he grew a sneer on his face before frowning then took a deep breath and released it slowly as he came to the end it.
“ What did they decide to do with the body?”
“ Well, they cremated her the day before yesterday. Her ashes are stored with the other four that have died so far.”
David took another deep breath before releasing it slowly. Finding it easing the pain in his chest.
“ Very well, I and the other councilors will discuss citizen divisionship when we meet when I am able to move again. What about this ballot that the others came up with while dodging their responsibility for the trial.”
Jasmine stiffened a moment to David’s tone but soon relaxed knowing he was only slightly angry with them. She could see David was already relaxing from the news.
“ A total of fifty-six major laws and well over two hundred minor laws were suggested. Of which over half of each have been moved from considerations to being applied, to punishments for breaking said new laws. The topic of wages and rights of the Wardens is a good number of the ones that remain undecided.”
David lowered the report he had read and leaned back into his oversized bed.

A Place to Belong - A LitRPG Adventure
Levi was happy with the life he had built for himself. He had a stable job, decent lodgings, and every weekend he alternated between hiking and biking in the mountains outside of town to keep in shape. Levi was content with his prefect walled in regimented life, and even if there was a small part of him that wanted more, wanted actual meaningful relationships, he kept that part of him tightly locked away. Those relationships weren’t worth the pain they inevitably caused. But when a powerful supernatural force sweeps through Earth, Levi finds himself forced into a new environment, the social mask he used before no longer valid. With no choice but to survive and grow, he now needs to confront those feelings he thought he locked away for good. The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.
