“ Well, that is far more than I pictured it would cost for a home, but is it not a sight.”

“I and my mate must admit, losing our ancestral home has made both us and our people a little uneasy.”

David agreed with the sentiment and could tell his friends did as well.

“ Now with that out of the way, let us discuss what to do with the rest of the credits.”

He and the others could see a look on the dwarf, like a child walking into a toy store with his parents promising them a new toy.

“ We could get it pre-made, but knowing how you are master craftsmen, I bet it would be insulting to suggest we go that route.”

Silve curved his enthusiasm and grew serious.

“ Aye lad, or should I call you Sire now. As I have no doubt your coin is buying our home. But I shall be damned to drown before I or my people let someone else make our future ancestral home.”

“ Yes, while my tribe has lesser values on our roofs, as long as they do not leak, we look to honor where we shall from now on burn our dead.”

David looked at the dwarves in thought.

“ Do you have qualms with this custom?”

The dwarves shook their heads.

“ No, we send our dead in a ceremony to the molten heart of the mountain. For those that fall far from home we offer their ashes as they are normally cremated at the location of death.”

Considering that for a moment David nods.

“ Then Master Silve, after you get me my keep, your first major project will be a grand hall of passing. Where thousands may attend and the names of our fallen warriors can be honored for all time.”

The dwarf seemed to have straightened and his wife grabbed his arm. As if to draw some of the pride he was expressing.

“ Aye Sire, your land will be a place like no other.”

David nods sternly and noticed the Lycans were having their moment of imagination as well.

“ Never has a people allowed the Lycans to grow in numbers for fear of our natural talents. To be allowed to grow in such numbers that we can number in the thousands...”

David started laughing hard and took a bit to notice the Lycans were not amused.

“ You think too small, tribe leader. I picture tens of thousands of Lycan warriors one day standing proudly with the Order of the Free Wardens. As I have no doubt one day, such a threat may appear against us that we shall need such numbers.”

This caused the Lycan to think deeply about his words and he looked to the dwarves.

“ And your kin will number in similar ways standing at our side. As brothers.”

With a deep thought, Silve tugged his beard once.

“ Aye Sire. What a mighty dream. But we must look to tomorrow instead of the next generation. We must discuss if we will want others in our venture.”

A voice interrupts them from the one across the table. David noticed the one sitting down there had a slightly more fancy chair now.

“ I hate to interrupt, but you have been here for nearly twelve hours now. I must send the guests from another world back in the next few minutes. You can of course continue communications under your menu, but I recommend getting your people ready.”

David quickly goes into his menu and creates several fifty million credit coins and hands them out.

“ For each of your people a million to do as they see fit with. From my personal reserves. So they do not do something desperate while scavenging.”

{contract} has taken effect. An 'allied' tag has been applied.

The Lycan took the coins casually, but the dwarves were more reserved.

“ Let us meet back in a month. With all of our people hearty and healthy.”

David then extended his fist and the dwarves matched the motion, seeing David bump them with his own, the Lycan both joined in before he finished and found all five hitting the others before the five formed a circle.

“ And let our fists come together to be the symbol of our unity.”

Aliance symbol generated.

“ Aye Sire.”

“ Agreed.”

And with those last words from the leaders, they were gone back to their people. And now David looked at the others at the table. Rick and Marry had left after she got them the map and John had left long before that. With their guests gone, he got looks from all around the table.

“ So, to start with, those that join the order will get a sign-on bonus of one million credits. With a finder fee of ten thousand credits for each recommendation signed up as well. This is a one-time opportunity during the transition. For those that will be fighting, I will be paying you to be kitted out with supplies and gear to help survive the scavenging.

In return, I expect twenty percent of your gains. Including the first pick of all your accumulated finds. With you having the right to veto twice. Next, if you have a secondary combat class, this agreement will override it and from this day forth you will be {Initiate of the Order of Free Wardens}. Which is the in-training class of the unique variant of heavy armor will one day provide you. On the day you receive such armor you will have to swear an oath and you will officially be a {Warden}.

In addition to combat classes, I am looking for artisans, those that know how to make clothing from scratch. Those that know how to make food. Those that know how to make medicine. I need farmers, builders, security people and so much more.

Jasmine can screen you to keep you from overlapping people and jobs. Do take note I am not going to be taking in your elderly unless given a good reason. First, those signing up as fighters come to me, then all others go to Jasmine.”
