《I Died and Got Summoned to Another World as a WHAT?!?!》Ep. 104 Myria's Tale Part 2

"They threw you out of the tribe for wanting to become a warrior?"
Myria says "Well, that and refusing to breed with the men they chose for me."
"They told you who to breed with?"
Myria says "Ah, right. I forgot you don't know anything about the tribes. Well, to put it simply the bunny tribe is only a major tribe out of courtesy."
"So they don't have the strength to be a major tribe? Then what do they have to qualify them?"
Myria says "Numbers and breeding. You see us bunny girls are the only ones who can crossbreed with any tribe and still be fertile. So we are in high demand so the other tribes can keep their population up."
"So, in other words your tribe sells its daughters off to maintain its power?"
Myria says "Basically. Our strongest warrior is no match for the weakest warrior from one of the other tribes. Even the Owl tribe which is rated as weaker than us could defeat us in battle."
"Why do I get the feeling you are talking about physical strength?"
Myria says "Because, that is all the tribes care about."
"So what about skilled fighters? Like archers and fencers?"
Myria says "I do not know what a fencer is, but bows are for hunting only, they are not an honorable weapon."
"Guaranteed, it was some dumb meathead who came up with that lame idea."
Myria says "What do you mean?"
"I mean a skilled archer can defeat a number of melee opponents easily. In fact a bow takes more skill than a lot of melee weapons."
Myria says "You are probably right, but you will never convince the clans of that."
"I am not worried about convincing the clans of anything. What I am talking about is you."

Myria says "Huh? Me? What do you mean?"
"Our group right now is weak in ranged combat, you said you want to be useful to me. So I am asking if you would take up the bow or is it not honorable enough?"
Myria says "You want me to use a bow? I mean I've used one for hunting, but in combat?"
"Yes, our enemy has greater numbers and almost always will. A skilled archer can turn the tide of battle and help offset a numerical advantage."
Myria says "I will do anything you want me to. If by using a bow I can be of some help then I will absolutely do it."
"Good! Thank you, Myria!"
I start pulling bows out of my pouch to take a look at them. They are all taken from humans so I don't consider them very good. Picking the best of them I hand it to Myria with a couple of quivers of arrows.
"You can use this one for now, but it is just for practice mainly. I will make a much better bow for you later."
Myria says "Make a bow? Are you a craftsman as well as a warrior?"
"Well, I wouldn't call myself a craftsman really, but I know a few crafts."
Myria says "I thought you said you haven't been in this world very long, how is it you know crafting at all?"
"I had a lot of ideas and theories from my past life that I have experimented with since I got here. I made Blitz and Ruby's swords while we were trapped underground."
Myria says "I have seen Ruby's swords, if you made those then I would say you are definitely a master craftsman!"

"Ha! Not even close! Are crafts so poor within the tribes?"
Myria says "Uh, I guess so? Our crafts are not as good as what the humans make. That is one of the jobs of the outcasts."
"The humans of this era are not very good craftsmen from what I have seen. So the outcasts are forced to make things for the clans?"
Myria says "No, we are forced to trade with the humans to get things the clans want. That is why we suffer slave raids so often."
"Please explain."
Myria says "The outcasts are forced to live in an area that the other clans don't want. That area is the border with the human kingdoms. Since we are so close it is easy for them to raid us."
"But you can't move anywhere safer because the clans won't allow it?"
Myria says "Exactly! So the outcasts are trapped and left to fend for themselves."
"Sounds like a pretty bad situation all around. I'm guessing even amongst the outcasts there are conflicts as well?"
Myria says "Yeah, especially among the outcast warriors."
"Let me guess, the law is might, makes right?"
Myria says "I don't understand?"
"Oh, it's a saying from my world. Basically it means the strong can do whatever they want."
Myria says "Oh, yeah. That is pretty much how it is within all the tribes too."
"So if I am stronger than any beastman in the world I could rule over all the tribes?"
Myria says "Yes. You would have to prove your strength, but if you are in fact stronger than all beastmen you would become the Beast King."
"Has there ever been a Beast King before?"
Myria says "No, no single beastman has ever had the strength to quell all the tribes."
"Let me ask you something, if an enemy force invaded the continent would the tribes work together to fight them?"
Myria says "Not at first, each tribe would fight alone. Only if they suffered losses would they even consider working together."
"What about working with the humans?"
Myria says "Ha ha! Never! The tribes would have to be facing extinction to even consider trusting humans."
"So, the only way to make them work together would be to become the Beast King right?"
Myria says "Yes."
"I guess I will just have to become the Beast King then."

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!
