Jun Nee rushed through the halls, chasing after Shibi.
“Shibi,” Jun Nee said, “are you sure Zen’er is through this way.”
“Not going to Zen!” Shibi said as he took a corner.
“What?” Jun Nee said, coming to a stop, almost sliding into a vase as she also took the same corner. “But Ding Wu said we should find him.”
“Zen say Shibi should warn mother, warn City Lord,” Shibi explained. “Shibi follow Zen not Ding Wu.”
There was another Boom that rang throughout the mansion.
“But what would you even tell Madam City Lord, Shibi?” she said, chasing after the Scorch Ape. “Do you really think that Madam City Lord does not know what is going on here?” she shouted.
There was another Boom! Jun Nee stopped in her tracks.
“Shibi wait!” she said.
Shibi stopped and looked at Jun Nee.
“That… That last explosion,” She said, “didn’t it sound a little clos…”
Boom! The last explosion ripped through the hallway they were in, covering the rea in grey dust…
“Wake up. Jun Nee, wake up.”
Jun Nee groaned as she opened her eyes. Shibi was looking over her with a concerned look in his eyes.
“Shibi? What happened?”
“Big boom! You fall, Shibi doesn’t,” Shibi said.
Jun Nee’s eyes wandered down her body. There was a big chunk of concrete on her, pinning her down. Jun Nee tried to push it off but could not.
She heard another Boom! Fear and panic crossed her face.
“Shibi help!” Shibi braced her body under the concrete and began pushing up.
Jun Nee also began pushing on the concrete. It began to move and buckle. Shibi’s body began to glow with heat at the effort while Jun Nee groaned. The piece of debris flipped away and Jun Nee was free.

Rising to her feet, she rubbed some life back into her legs while taking in the scene before her. On the ground was a hole massive hole. She saw a body being fling through in the room below. The body slammed into a wall before a lightning bolt, a fire ball and an earth pike slammed into the body, causing an explosion. When the dust cleared, it revealed a golden disc that stood like a shield in front of the figure. The figure rose.
Jun Nee looked upon the figure, its slender form and how it held the blade and whip it created out of golden energy was very familiar to her. Even though the figure’s face was hidden behind a white mask of a cat.
“Madam City Lord!”
Lin briefly looked up at Jun Nee, her expression hidden behind the mask. Whipped her hand out, sending the golden tendril of her whip out. Jun Nee heard a grunt before Lin pulled back and at the end of her whip like a fish caught on a hook. The man landed beside her and she stabbed him with her blade, causing his struggles to cease.
The remaining two combatants slowly approached Lin, scared to get any closer.
“Do not lose faith,” a voice rang out, then a man wreathed in golden light floated between the two combatants. He landed on the ground. “Now, let us do this together.”
Jun Nee gulped, she was scared for Wang Lin.
Lin dug through her leg pouch and produced a scroll. Bringing it up to her mouth, a golden light began to infuse with the scroll. She then looked directly at Jun Nee and Shibi and flicked the scroll at them. The scroll flew towards them like a meteor. When it hit them, they were engulfed in a golden sphere that sent them flying away. The last thing Jun Nee saw before she was whisked away was Lin and Hei charging at each other.

She and Shibi were sent flying through the hallways and away from the fight at great speeds. Throughout the transportation they could hear a single phrase, a command repeated over and over. “Find Zen. Use the scroll. Keep him safe.”
The sphere they were in suddenly lurched to a stop before popping, dropping Jun Nee and Shibi onto the ground. Reaching for the scroll, Jun Nee picked it up and looked at it.
“I guess we have to find Zen,” she said.
Shibi leapt onto her shoulder, “Shibi will lead.”
She nodded, “then I guess I’ll follow.”
And with that they ran into the hallways.
