“That bastard!” Ao Li said, while combing his hair after watching Zen and Jian fight in the ring. “That bastard Zen was holding back while fighting me!”
“Why do you say that?” Deng Ai asked.
Just as Ao Li promised, after he lost, he returned to the stands to watch the rest of the matches. He sat with Deng Ai, Jao Cong and Xue Shaonu.
“He was not fighting like that when he fought me!” Ao Li complained, pointing his comb at Zen.
“That does not mean he was holding back.” Xue Shaonu chewed her pinkie in thought as she stared intently at the two combatants in the ring. “Wang Zen fought you in your style to the best of his ability. You are a boxer, so he engaged you in a boxing match to the best of his ability and pushed himself to his limit to beat you at your own style. How is that holding back?”
“Well… I… give me a moment to think of something, okay?” Li Ao said, going back to combing his hair.
Jao Cong watched Xue Shaonu. “So, Xue Shaonu, who do you favour?”
“I… I do not know.” She said. “They are both my friends. I don’t want either of them to lose.”
“Both are your friends?” Li Ao said, with mirth in his voice. “That is weird, considering how much they hate each other.”
“Look,” Deng Ai said. “Chen Jian… he is starting to use a ki technique.”
They all began watching intently again.
Zen stood at the ready, his eyes glancing at both ki discs.
Chen Jian dashed forward with an angry grunt. His hands were nearly like blurs as the discs followed his hands.
Zen dodged the discs as Chen Jian furiously attacked. It was the first time Jian was being the aggressor in the fight. No longer was he wating for an attack to parry and counter, now he was actively attacking.

Zen was losing ground as he kept trying to dodge the white ki discs. Zen hopped back to dodge a swing. To his surprise, Jian threw the ki disc. Zen was too close to dodge as he was still mid hop. He raised his forearms to block and the ki disc hit him… hard.
The disc was pushing him back through the air before pushing past him and hitting the ground behind him. The momentum caused Zen to flip chaotically in the air before he landed painfully. He looked up in time to see another white ki disc heading for his face.
He jumped up and the disc hit the ground where his face had been a moment ago. Zen looked at the disc which had caused a crack in the ground where it had been planted. It then popped to nothing.
Zen looked up at Jian as he created two more ki discs.
Jian dashed at him again. Zen stood his ground, taking his fighting stance. He dodged the disc attacks, making sure not to block to avoid taking any damage. Jian swung his disc but Zen blocked his forearm and threw a backfist into Jian.
Jian brings his other hand with the disc around. Zen ducks under and tries to take another punch. Jian blocks it by catching Zen’s fist between his two discs, squeezing Zen’s fist between the two discs and threatening to crush the bones of his right hand.
Zen grunts in pain before raising his knee for a kick. His leg flicks out but he feigns and draws it back. Jian had already committed to blocking the kick with his discs but when Zen had feinted, his discs hit nothing and his hands swung wide while his head went a little lower, leaving him open for Zen’s real kick, which viciously connected with his face.

Jian is stunned as he struggles to keep his balance.
Zen dashed forward. “Blitz Punch!”
His fists slammed into Jian’s body and face, causing him to cough out blood with each punch. Zen’s right hand threatened to break but it held strong for the attack. His last punch planted deep into his stomach, sending him hurtling away. Before Jian gets too far, he tosses both ki discs at Zen.
Zen knew he was too close to dodge and he did not want to risk dodging again.
“Focused Blitz Punch!” He focused Blitz punch the first disc, it popped after 60 punches. He did the same to the second one, once it vanished, he ran after Jian. Jian landed on the ground hard and looked up at Zen as he descended upon him.
Before Zen could connect, Jian teleported away, leaving Zen to land on nothing.
Zen rose to his feet with a smug look on his face.
Chen Jian also woke up but he looked different from before. His eyes had gone from sky blue to crimson red and Zen could sense an immense power coming from him as well as a deep and ancient killing intent, aimed right at Zen.
Jian ripped his white shirt off him, revealing his toned chest. “You… You…”
Zen tried to calm down, though he could not fully stop his legs from shaking. “Ooh, you angry that I’m beating you at your best?”
“You… You…” he raised his hands and created two more ki discs. “I’ll kill you!”
