Chapter 135: Conclusion of the Battle and a New Promise Forged!
Ding Wu flicked an electric cylinder at the charging Wang Zen. It made contact and caused Zen to stumble but regained his step. Zen had figured that if he could not dodge the attack, then he would take it head on, like Bhiki had said, hand to hand combat teaches you to take a punch or in this case a shock to the body.
Ding Wu widened his eyes in surprise and poured more electricity into his remaining cylinder. He flicked it at Zen, who was now shouting with passion. It made contact and electricity shocked Zen, his body numbed and darkness threatened to take his vision but he was able to reach Ding Wu.
“Bl-Blits Fist!” Zen began moving his ki through his meridians to activate the move but the damage had already taken effect, making his efforts sloppy and slow.
Ding Wu was able to catch the first fist and through a hold, threw the young boy over his head and slammed him into the ground before activating a Stone Fist which stopped inches from his face.
Zen smirked. “Y-Yeah, I lose.”
Ding Wu let the younger boy up. “You had me worried for a moment there.”
“Thanks!” Zen smiled wide. He looked around. The fight had attracted a crowd of servants and guards. His gaze stopped at one person in particular. He stood alone under a shaded roofwhich cast his masked face in darkness. The bandaged man turned around and walked to the house. Zen sighed. “I guess it’s time I pack my things and leave. I don’t have any clothes back at the academy.”
“Master Wang!”
Zen looked at Ding Wu.
“I don’t remember the last promise we made but I want us to make a new one.”

“Another one… that you’ll forget,” Zen folded his arms and looked disinterested.
“Oh, I won’t forget this one.” Ding Wu winked and offered his fist. “Let’s make a Warior’s Oath, that we’ll both continue to get stronger and once you get to the elemental stage of cultivation, we’ll challenge each other using elemental powers. My Lightning against… whatever Elemental power you unlock.”
Zen smirked. “Okay!” He fist bumped the older boy and with that a new promise was forged.
Zen and Shibi prepared to depart. The carriage came around and Zen was happy he did not have to pay this one. He looked back at his home and Yin Bhiki who was there to say goodbye. Last time, although his father never saw him off, he did give him a gift. This time, he had not said even two words.
“Yin Bhiki, say hello Yin Zheng and Jun Nee.” Zen said. “I’m really sad I didn’t get the chance to see them.”
“Will do,” Yin Bhiki said. “I’m sure my son will regret not being able to see you to.”
Zen nodded his thanks and was about to enter the carriage when the doors to his home opened again. This time a carriage, more finer than the one Zen had rode in, entered.
“Whose this?” he tilted his head in wonder as he hopped off his.
The carriage stopped and a old man with silver hair stepped out. He was dressed in the finest robes and his power level radiated from him.
Zen looked slightly alarmed at the appearance of the man. “Grandfather?”
“Ah, the old man said as he walked closer to the house, “it’s you… grandson.”
“Wang Zen,” Zen said, raisng an eyebrow.
“Yes, of course I knew that.” he said, waving away the notion he had forgotten Zen’s name. “Where are you going Wan Sin?”

“I’m returning to Goixi Academy.”
“You go to Goixi academy? With Jao Fuu and Jao Cong?” he said in surprise.
“Yes,” he said.
“That’s surprising! Anyway, you cannot leave before Lin Lin has a chance to see you.”
The name sounded familiar to Zen… very familiar. This was because he was used to it being said in full and even then, he seldom heard it and he never used it himself. His grandfather was speaking of her, Wang Lin. His eyes widened in excitement.
“Mother is coming back?!”

To Hermione Granger, the boy she met on the Hogwarts Express was Harry Potter, a nice, if odd, boy who's very likely going to get her killed, or worse expelled. To Harry Potter, the girl he met on the Hogwarts Express was Hermione Granger, a nice, overly rule-abiding girl who he'd considered to be one of the few (somewhat) reasonable people in an overrated book series he read.A book series that, against his will, has now become his life.
