Chapter126: Jiahai in Trouble
Lou Shan reached out and grabbed Jiahai by the collar before lifting him to his feet. “Come with me!”
“This is not fair!” Zen said, getting up to follow after them. “Stay out of this, Boy!” She said, sending a gust of air strong enough to floor him once again.
“Wang Zen, don’t!” Chu Jiahai looked back at his friend as he was being dragged away.
Zen stopped, clenching the storage stone that Jiahai gave him. Knowing that the Tamer’s Staff was in there.
Wang Zen went to the medical centre because he heard that was where the boys that Jiahai had supposedly attacked were. When he got there, he saw three familiar looking boys being surrounded by other older kids.
He stopped when he recognised the three boys n the middle. They too looked at him and Zen knew from their injuries that they were the ones that Jiahai was accused of attacking and by their injuries, it looked like he had. People around Zen began whispering while looking and some openly pointing at him.
“There he is,” one of the boys said. “Chu Jiahai’s friend and most likely his accomplice in his crimes!” The three had smirks on their faces.
“You attacked Chu Jiahai.” Zen said. He knew it was true because he knew the kind of people the three boys were. The only Jiahai hurt them was purely out of self defence.
“You crazy?” One of them snapped. “He just saw us and started attacking us with that Tamer’s Staff of his.”
“Yeah!” another agreed. “That thing has made him crazy with power! Its like he is going through cultivation deviation!”
The people around them gasped and murmed.
“That’s a lie!” Zen said. “Chu Jiahai would never just attack anyone but you three would!”
“Really? Than why did he try to kill Xue Shaonu.” One of three said.
“Yeah!” Someone from the crowd said.
“He is a murdering scum!” Another said.
The crowd came alove with accusations and name calling directed to Chu Jiahai and Wang Zen. Shibi hissed and bared his teeth at everyone around them as he too could feel the hostility.
“Hey,” another older kid said, stepping protectively between him and Zen. “You better leave, Punk before we put trash like you in your place.”
Zen clenched his fists before he spun around and ran away. Many emotions bubbled up in him, anger, hate, frustration and something worse. An he felt it bubbling up to the surface as the tears began streaming from his eyes. Hopelessness.
Wang Zen was pacing up and down his small room.
“Wang Zen, do you mind going to sleep.” Deng Ai said.
“Yeah,” Li Ao said. “Without proper sleep, my hair will look aweful in the morning.”

He stopped and looked at them. “Sorry guys, I’ll sit down.” He got on the floor to begin cultivating when he heard scracting on their door. He got up and opened the door and was immediately pounced on.
Shibi shouted in warning but stopped when he saw that thee beast on top of him was doing nothing more than licking his face.
“Rizon, get off me!” Zen said in good humour. He sat up and looked at the Jackal. “What are you doing here, Girl?”
Rizon bit his pants and pulled.
“Okay,” Zen nodded before stretching his arm out. “Shibi.”
Shibi ran up along his arm to his shoulder.
This was an advantage of being weak, it was difficult for peoplewho are far strnger to hide their presence from weaker people.
“It’s about time,” Lo Ai said before he flopped back down his bed.
Zen ran after Rizon who led the way. Ahead of him, he could see a building, growing bigger the closer they came to it. He stopped.
“Rizon!”
The jackal stopped and looked at him and then Zen knew that the beast had figured out why he wanted to stop. He could sense several powerful people within the vicinity of the building. This was the disadvangatge of being very powerful, your presence becomes harderto hide from people far weaker.
“Your taking me there, aren’t you?” Zen looked at the building. He knew that was where students would be detained. “That’s where Chu Jiahai is, huh. Let’s go then.”
Zen went around the building to the back.
Zen looked up along the wall to the window above. “We’ll have to climb up here.” Zen lookedto the Scorch Ape on his shoulder. “Shibi, you mind leading the way.”
Shibi nodded and climbed up the wall. Zen crouched down on the ground.
“This might be a bit uncormfortable but it is the only way I know of getting you up here.” Rizon trotted over to Zen and climbed on his back, allowing him to piggybank her. Zen looked at Shibi, who stopped his progress on the wall and looked down at him.
“Here!” Shibi said.
Zen leapt up and Shibi moved out of his way as Zen landed on the wall. Shibi was a good climber, allowing him to move faster up along the wall but for someone like Zen, he needed better foot and handholds, which Shibi could identify them for him.
“Here!” Shibi said again.
Zen leapt to the position and further up the wall. And that is how he progressed up the wall, with Shibi leading the way and Zen following close behind. Shibi got to the window and Zen opened the window and crawled in. Rizon got off his back while Shibi returned gto his shoulder.

The hallway was long and plunged in darkness. Zen could feel string presence but they were all congregrated in one area, most likely avoiding the freezing hallway.
“Shibi, how about a little warmth and light.” Zen said, hugging his body.
Shibi’s body glowed allowing warmth and light to radiate from him. Rizon was back in front, leading Zen and Shibi on. He finally stopped in front of a door and began scratching on it while standing on its hind legs.
“Rizon? Is that you?” the voice of Jiahai emerged from the other side. “So you did get my message.”
“Yeah, he did.” Zen whispered.
“You even brought Wang Zen,” Jiahai said in excitement. “Man, you are amazing.”
“Jiahai, what happened?” Zen said.
“Those three boys,” JIahai said. “They found me in the forest and attacked me.”
“Were they following you?”
“No. One of my hounds would have detected them if they had followed me.” Jiahai said. “They found the exact place I was, like they knew I would be there, then they attacked me.”
“I don’t understand how though.” Zen said. “How could they have found out where you were.”
“I don’t understand it too, only you and me knew where I was going to be.”
They fell to silence.
Jiahai sighed. “There is also another reason why I called.” Jiahai said. “Chen Jian is planning to attack my beasts.”
“Rizon and Blackfur!” Zen said, clenching his fists while thinking how he would feel if anyone attacked Shibi.`”How do you know?”
“Rizon has spotted him and his snake around the vicinity of the burrow.” Jiahai said. “She can sense it. He is going to attack. Zen, I need you to help me escape.”
“How?”
“My Tamer’s Staff.” Jiahai said. “You need to call it forth but onto the other side of the door.”
Zen dug in his pocket and produced the storage stone that Jiahai had given him. “Isn’t it locked.”
“I unlocked it before I gave it to you.” Jiahai said.
Zen felt touched that his friend would trust him with his weapon. “How will I get it to you?”
“If you can use the space beneath the door to summon the Tamer’s Staff.”
Zen understood. It would be tricky but he knew he would be able to do it. He placed the stone close to the door. He focused and and bue balls of light came out of the stone. Zen needed to control the materialization to make sure it appeared on the other side of the door. Things pulled out of a storage stone could not appear to far away from the stone but Zen could stretch it to the max.
The Tamer’s Staff appeared on the other side of the door.
“Thank you, Wang Zen.” He said.
“I’ll be leaving now.”
“What?”
“This needs to end, it might need me to do something I’ve been avoiding.”
“Al-Alright,” Jian said in confusion. “I’ll stay here and try to escape.”
Zen nodded before crouching low, placing his palm on Rizon’s head. “Rizon, keep him safe.” He said before he left.
Wang Zen ran up the hill. He could sense the people following him in the darkness around. He knew that they would find him soon if he did not make it in time. He looked ahead and saw the walls making the perimeter of the house he was rushing to.
A Snow Dove came from the air suddenly! It screeched as it flapped its wings, summoning a cold wind. Zen stopped and fell to his knees where he stayed as Silicy settled in fron t of him. In the next moment several people appeared around him, their ki roiling dangerously and those with weapons, pointed at him.
“Wang Zen,” Silicy said. “What are you doing here?”
Zen kept quite and breathed a deep breath in. “XUE SHAONU!”
Everyone flinched, growing tense as they prepared to attack but Zen stayed seated with his legs folded beneath him. Shibi pressed his hands against his ears as he was just beside him.
“XUE SHAONU! XUE SHAONU!”
“Shut up!” One of the people around him said as he withdrew his dagger. “You have no right to call…”
“Wait.”
The voice was small but could be heard clearly. Everyone stopped as the steady sound of footsteps crunching snow could be heard. Silicy stepped to the side to reveal Xue Shaonu in all white attire.
“Wang Zen She said stopping before him.
Despite himself, Wang Zen smiled when he saw her. “Xue Shaonu! You look great… ah… I mean healthy!”
“Yes, I think I’ve recovered well.” She said, clenching her hand into a fist and smiling at it. “Miss Hong is truly a miracle worker. What are you doig here?”
“I need your help.” He said. “Can I talk to you… alone.” He added the last part as he looked at the people surrounding them.
“Fat chance!” A girl from the group said. “As if we’d let you…”
“Yes,” Xue Shaonu said. Everyone looked at her with amazement.
“But…”
“I can handle myself.” She said before she smiled sweetly. “Thank you for trying to protect me but you can trust me, I can handle myself.”
They reluctanctly left.
“Well, Wang Zen. Would you like to come in.” she said gesturing to her cottage.
