Chapter 118: Her Saviour
Wang Zen and Geyi Kun ran through the academy grounds to the medical facility. They entered the building in a rush. Chen Jian, who was leaning against a wall, looked at them when they entered.
“Where is…”
Hong Lu walked in, in her hands was the grey horn tip. “Oh, Wang Zen, you’re back. I was about to tell Chen Jian here that this is a genuine Lightning Rhino’s horn tip.”
“Like I told you, you’re wasting your time querying it.” Chen Jian said. “I got that from a genuine Lightning Rhino.”
“Well, excuse me for not believing that people of your low level could defeat a Lightning Rhino.”
“He didn’t defeat it.” Zen said. “He stole that horn tip. But I’m here with the steel moss.”
“Oh… well, I…”
“Here!” Zen said, walking closer to her while summoning the jar they placed the steel moss. “We found it in the forest.” He opened the jar and tipped it over, allowing a bit of its contents to tip on his hands. There was something wrong. The plant looked dead. He rubbed it and turned to dust as it smeared across his palm. “What… What happened?” Hee looked at the dead plant matter in his palm in confusion.
“Steel moss is known to perish…”
“But we placed it in Red Preserving Powder to preserve it.”
“Red Preserving Powder?” Hing shook her head sadly. “Although Red Preserving Powder is an extremely effective preserve for some plants, for others, it is quite bad. If anything, it makes plants like steel moss perish even faster. If you don’t know how a plant will react to it, its kind of a gamble to preserve it in that.”
“Zen…” Geyi Kun looked sad at hearing this and her voice was cracking in sadness. “I didn’t know… I’m sorry.”

“It’s okay,” Hong said. “Chen Jian did also bring steel oss, so we’ll still be abke to help her.”
“What?” Zen looked at Jian, “How?”
“I brought it from the markets.”
Hong nodded. “Let me get this to the healers.”
With that, Hong left them in the hall to join the other healers.
“See?” Chen Jian said. “She did not need your useless meddling. As long as I am here, I will be all she needs so you should just forget about your stupid crush and leave helping her to the people who can help.” Jian said as he walked pass him.
This left Zen dimoralised. He could note even muster the strength to be angry at the comment.
Kun placed her hand on his shoulder to comfort him. “Zen, don’t listen to that jerk. You gave your all to help her.”
“Yeah,” he smiled at her but inside he was still crushed. He wondered what is the use of giving your all to help a friend but still ultimately failing as thoroughly as he had.
Chu Jiahai breathed heavily as he gazed at his opponent. His opponent was older and bigger than he and was brandishing a hammer. Although he was bruised like Jahai, his injurieswere less severe and he was not breathing as heavily as Jiahai.
The older boy smirked at him. “Don’t you want to give up dog man? Or maybe call in one of your dogs to help, cause you are not going to win against me.” The boy looked at the silver cins that were stacked beside the ring. “If you don’t I’m going to wn the bet, not that it would make a difference if you summoned your dog.”
Jiahai looked at Rizon, who looked eagerly at the battle, ready to jump in at Jiahhai’s word. However, Jiahai was not going to give that word. “I don’t need help.” He said as he reached behind his back and produced a dark long shaft with a hole at the end. “Not when I have this.”

“Ha! You produce a weapon now!” The older boy said before he rushed forward. “ It’s too late!”
The black short staff began glowing red. He swiped at the older charging boy and sent out a red, sickle energy at him. The older boy was caught in the energy and was sent hurtling away, screaming in pain. The boy landed outside the ring, unconscious with smoke rising from his body.
Jiahai smirked and pointed his staff at the boy. “I win.”
Unbeknownst to Jiahai, a girl was watching the match from some distance away. She was particularly surprised at the weapon he had used. She rushed off quickly, hoping that she could make her report in time.

You can maybe then imagine his bafflement, when instead of the nothingness of his successfully created pocket realm, Eulisses finds himself in a quite holy looking hall, amidst quite too-baffled looking fellows, in the centre of a gigantic summoning circle - allegedly, he cannot read the runes that make it up - and facing a young and quite fair maiden that stares at him quite wide-eyed.
