《The Awakened World》Vol. 2, Ch. 39 : My boss's daughter is my maid

The oats are bland. Very bland, like I was just fed wet sand, but instead of gritty there's just dry. Do we have like…bananas? Brown sugar? Something?

Well, I would voice my complaint, but Aria's eyes are penetrating my very soul. Figuratively. I don't think she has a skill to look into my soul. Sophia might have one with my Soul Resistance as evidence.

Actually, can Aria have skills? I know she's an Artificial Intelligence, but that should mean she has skills. Does she have base skills for her, and alternates based on which body she occupies? This is probably too personal of a question though.

On the other hand, she knows a lot about me. She probably knows more about me than me if I had to guess.

"Aria, do you know my blood type?" I prod her knowledge.

"Wolf Beast-Human A- with dormant Lunar Magic remnants. Likely due to Lunares species. High traces of meat-based proteins and a below average glucose level. Gene sequencing is still in progress. Fragments of rock can also be found in trace amounts in the blood stream that show similar mineral signs to Moon rocks. These fragments are incapable of doing harm to you due to the aforementioned dormant Lunar Magic." I stare in disbelief at the huge amount of information that Aria just listed off like she was reading a slideshow.

"Umm. Okay, then. What's Lunar Magic comprised of?"

She looks at me, looks at the barely eaten bowl of oatmeal, and grabs it out of my hands. "Lunar Magic is comprised of a Projection Exception Combination of the Projection Exception of Earth and Space combined with Light Magic." She replies as she pours in a generous amount of milk and sugar into my oatmeal.

"Uhh-" I begin, but she cuts me off.

"A Projection Exception is a projection magic that can become a skill. Fire onto Water is not an exception. Water onto Earth is an exception as it becomes Mud and can have its own skill. A Projection Exception Combination is the product of a projection or Projection Exception combined with another Magic. Earth projected onto Space creates Asteroid Magic. In the equation, you can show the projection or the product combined with Light to show Lunar Magic. I gave you the projected equation, so that you would not ask about Asteroid Magic, but I seem to have failed to explain other aspects concisely as I have know spoken far longer than I would prefer."

She sets the bowl in my lap again, this time with inhuman amounts of sugar. "I made it the way my mother prefers it," Aria states. "You need more sugar in your blood."

Attempting to down a spoonful proves futile. This is just sugar. Way too much for me. Aria slowly leaning in isn't helping either. Thankfully, a crash grabs Aria's attention as she snaps towards the source of the noise. I use the opportunity to dump the sugar bowl mixture into a trashcan next to my bed.

"Oh dear," Aria mumbles with dread painted on her face. Her worry is founded as the door slides open and a small figure darts out of it. Nora bounds towards me, jumping as she runs with a few small glides with her wings. Before she can land on me, Aria grabs her out of midair and holds her close. Nora struggles under Aria's grip, but is held close.

Meanwhile, I set the bowl down on a nightstand next to me as I watch the show. It kinda looks like the sisters are average in terms of ability. Oh wait. Nora just ripped off Aria's arm. And now Nora is in some kind of bubble made of hexagon panels that is keeping all sound from Nora reaching me. The bubble is projected from Nora's left arm. A left arm which is also holding her right and reattaching it.

The wires of her arm worm their way back into the spot where the shoulder should meet the forearm. She squeezes her hand a few times to check the connection as Nora pouts inside of her floating bubble.

Sophia then enters. She looks around the room and audibly sighs at both Aria and Nora staring at her like they just got caught with their hand in the cookie jar.

"Aria, release your sister. And Nora, don't attack Alice. She's hurt and healing right now." The bubble fades away as Nora drops to the ground.

"Sorry Alice." The little dragonewt looks to the ground as she apologizes.

She's adorable.

"It's okay, Nora." She grows a wide smile on her face as she begins jumping up and down. Though…the lack of apology to Aria and the skill in which said girl placed her arm back on tells me that is happens a lot more than I think.

Sophia looks at me. "Alice, are you still feeling sore?"

I shrug my shoulders and a sharp pain blasts through them. "Yeah," I weakly groan out.

"Hmm. Well, when you feel better Thomas and I are going to put you through a training montage without the montage." I, what?

"So, a training session?"

She meets my eyes. "Yeah. That's what I said."

Silence fills the room as I look to Aria for an explanation, but she just shakes her head.

Sophia interrupts the silence saying, "Well, anyway, we're going to raise your status the old fashioned way: training. Skills can help, but they still need a foundation to enhance. Maybe we'll have a few spars as well. Though I expect my husband to start rambling in the middle of a fight, so if that happens just sock him in the face."

Disregarding that advice, the three of us give Sophia a disappointed stare. She nervously chuckles as she promptly does a 180 and walks out of the room. The rest of us awkwardly stand, or in my case lay there.

Aria turns to me, "I'll take care of you in the meantime, so just relax as all of your needs are met."
