Well, if I do need to comment, what I can generally perceive from the class is that they are sort of… pew-pew-pew-ish? I mean, they are ranged, deal damage, and that is all they are about, right? Riiight?

I wish.

On the surface, yes, that is if people are playing the most pure DPS form of a hunter. They strike from afar, dealing physical damage, and perhaps slow down the opponent with that pesky shot aiming at your knee or ankle.

However, this kind of hunter might be lacking in one way or another. I often see those kinds of hunters are much too rooted to their place for their own good. They also often have very low awareness of their surroundings. They are HUNTERS for crying out loud, are they not supposed to have higher awareness?

Some expert hunters told me that a hunter is not all about DPS and is not supposedly only about DPS. Zone control - either by utility or massive DPS, their control over surroundings, or all of that combined - is what they are supposed to aim for. Nevertheless it was really a vague concept to explain, I only understood such a thing when I saw those veteran hunters fight, especially Bingo and Joker. They were really exerting control on their surroundings, either by taking down weakened targets in haste or disrupting the opposing side. Though I was unable to fully understand the exact thing that they did, I was kind of able to feel the difference.

Now, I wonder if I can meet such a hunter and bring them to Clashing Realms before March.
