《Alexander Creed: Re-Life》Chapter 213: Music Plan II

In all honesty, Alexander never really thought that his music ultra-learner plan would work.
Just as how his drawing skills have been hampered by his little hand, his littler figure now would produce trouble to his instrument-using skills as well.
It also had to be said that he has a one-year gap of not fiddling with instruments as well.
The complications layered out but it was a good thing that he was able to pull through.
Nonetheless, he had successfully tricked these "teachers" of his to believe that he had just learned those things on the spot and somehow mastered them a few moments afterward.
He may have crushed a few souls with this trick but at least his music plan has fallen into place.
Alexander the musical learning prodigy would already have been circulating with the rest of CREED by now.
By estimation, his true target must have gotten wind of things as well.
-----
With the awaited cue, Old Sullivan rushed into the music room and had a scrutinizing visage hanging around him.
"Alex, what's this thing I heard about you taking a liking to music." The Old Sullivan had a bright gleam reflecting in his eyes. Having your grandson showcase a new amazing things is something to take pride in.
"It's nothing, grandpa. Just felt bored with all the gaps and breaks that this VA job has in store." Alexander had to act some things out. He can't reveal his plan outright after all.
"Uh... wouldn't you be too busy and too hectic already?" Old Creed's stupor seems to awaken as well. "You already have the near-daily Calvin and Hobbes creation. Going to school most days. Then, you already have some editorial stuff to be done from time to time with Creed Comics. I pushed you into the voice acting thing already. How come you have to increase your payload some more with this music practicing?"
Anyone else put into Alexander's shoes would pretty much buckle already. Even Old Sullivan with his multi-tasking management felt the pressure once he thought about it.
As the realization dawned in on Old Sullivan, his face and mannerism reflected it all. This was the sight that the scheming little Creed wanted to see.

"Tsk. Tsk." Alexander tsk-ed, sighed, and intentionally muttered. "I really thought that this month of May was a breeze but it seems that it is even busier than the last. Maybe I'll even be busier in the following months as the legal complaints of the competition might just lead up to a court hearing. Can I even take it all on?"
Old Sullivan blinked fast. Wasn't this tactic quite familiar? Didn't he use this to sic Alex into the voice acting gig?
"Trying is better than denying indeed." Alexander layered on. "But I seem to have tried too many things that I can't keep up."
"Alright, alright. Your old grandpa wouldn't push you into things no more!" The Old Creed promised before his grandson could pile on some more. Everything had just been set up but his elderly wisdom could already smell the incoming guilts and criticizing arrows that were targeting his old bones.
In any case, it did not feel good at all to have your winning move be used against you.
He may have pushed too hard on the intent to have the boy take up acting that the boy had to cook up a lot to make this scenario happen.
Still, it was pretty impressive for the boy to employ 'music talent' to bait him up.
"Well played, my kin and student. Well played." Old Sullivan could only commend the boy while also not forgetting to commend himself.
He shamelessly decided that whatever achievement that his grandson has reached, he would piggyback on it as a proud grandfather.
Of course, after all that had happened, the Old Creed expected that his grandson's dive into the music field was just to prove a point.
He had already pulled back his intent to have the boy act, so it made sense that everything should be back to the usual normal once again.
He thought wrong though as the rest of May had Alex's music escapades being plastered all over it.
------
May 20, 1985. Monday. Calvin and Hobbes Day 33.
Hobbes took a record disk from its holding case while pajama-d Calvin had his shades on the ready.

Over the next couple of panels, musical notes were sketched as Calvin and Hobbes danced with jolliness and fun.
Of course, with pajamas and music mashed together with the mischievous and popular comics duo, there was bound to be something wrong.
In Calvin's parents' room, the sleep disturbed mom was struggling to comprehend whether the noisy tunes were real or not. However, the dad was more extreme as he wanted to call the orphanage by morning.
Like any other Calvin and Hobbes comic release, people reading the newspapers got a chuckle or two from it.
Music, children, dancing, and the night were truly quite the pain after all.
For Creed Animations' music room on this day, little boss Alex ensued to hound them about exploring the depths of musical instruments some more.
The poor music team could only teach what they can to the boy who already knew most of the basics that they knew.
They could only hope that it was little boss's school day or that the Dragonball recording would take up a lot of time. If those didn't happen, then they would be troubled as mingling with a musical genius child was not fun for them at all.
They were still a bit traumatized from their first "teaching" session after all.
Of course, Old Sullivan got wind of the continued and obvious musical escapades as well. His old bones had the feeling that his grandson's music plan still had things going on for it.
Old Sullivan's hunch was not wrong as May 21st and onward had way too many music themes from the published 'Calvin and Hobbes' strip and the music room of the 'sound' compartment as well.
-----
On May 21, the music room had pretty much become lively as the group was being a band and playing what musical group they thought they could emulate.
The "teachers" at this point had been put to ease by Alexander as he didn't hound them to teach him anymore. He just wanted to explore what music had to offer as somewhat their equal.
At least it wasn't that traumatizing anymore.
-----
On May 22nd, the band copying and practicing ensued. However, it had to be cut quite short as the little boss' other half of the day was all about school.
----
On May 23rd, it was a full-on school day but the music theme of the day's 'Calvin and Hobbes' strip was still evident.
----
On May 24th, the band playing continued during the little boss's VA break but also had to be disrupted for quite a while since the new comic book releases needed to be managed.
The music team remembered that their little boss's abilities were not restricted to music and VA at all. His status in the field of comic books was quite influential.
They could only imagine what was to happen if the same comic book influence would be translated to the music field as well.
As the music team thought of that, Old Sullivan had inadvertently ruminated on that possibility as well.
Since the acting stuff was not to his grandson's liking, then couldn't he still be a supportive grandpa on the music soiree that the boy is passionate about?
-----
By May 29, 1985, Old Sullivan had already registered Creed Music and it was no longer the floating expansion plan that they were on the fence about.
This was the old Creed's surprise of the day for the little Creed. The old Creed was gratified to see his grandson's rare smile from what he had done.
Unbeknownst to him or maybe the scheming old man had already guessed it all along, the establishment of Creed Music was one of Alex's goals all along.
From a reluctant VA, natural acting talent reveals, anti-acting schemes, and musical talent showcase, Alexander eventually ended his Musical May adventure with Creed Music being bagged.
It was way too overcomplicated of a music plan but it was a fun thing to go through nonetheless.

At The Lions Gate
In the 20th century America reinvented itself. Devastated by depression, scarred by war, rocked by a revolution, Americans banded together to preserve their country and their freedom. They had faith in themselves, faith in one another, and for those who believed…faith in God. This novel tells the story of one American who lived through those turbulent years….years that would test his character and the character of a nation. For Josh Sanders it begins in 1935. A star athlete in school, pro football is a ticket out of poverty during the Great Depression; but when his father, a WWI veteran, is killed during a robbery, Josh’s spirit is broken, and with it his boyhood dream. To honor his father Josh joins the war effort in 1942, distinguishing himself as a fighter pilot, until a fateful decision near the end of the war changes the course of his life once again. But many years later, after a stint as a boxer and a failed marriage, Josh finds his calling…at a time when the country is at war with itself. The year is 1968. King and Kennedy have been killed, race riots are breaking out, and Vietnam has become an albatross, causing massive protests across the country. In the streets of San Francisco Josh watches a crowd of students march for peace. As a veteran he’s conflicted, toward the war and those who oppose it. But when he encounters Rosy Goldin, a spirited young protester in need of help, a voice from the past calls him to action. His good intentions are soon tested when Rosy falls in love with the fugitive anti-war activist Erick White, a young man determined to oppose the war at all costs, against the wishes of his own father. Fearful of what happens to Rosy, Josh confronts Erick, unwilling to be part of his plan to escape…until he meets the boy’s father. A high-powered criminal attorney, Karl White is also a flag-waving patriot demanding that his son follow the law. But as White makes his case Josh is jolted by a painful war-time memory, a crisis of conscience that will soon determine the fate of Rosy Goldin and Erick White.
