《Alexander Creed: Re-Life》Chapter 203: Cocky Cox

The difference between reluctant triers and opportunity cherishers is as clear as can be.
It's just a norm of the world to have a different outlook on things and there wasn't anything wrong with that.
Either way, differences had to be put aside for everything to seam well. Creed Animations had to coalesce that and eventually had to start up the preliminary voice acting work.
-----
And so... voice acting day 1 or preliminary whatnot did begin as soon as Mid-May. It was rushed notice from recent hiring but everything's got to be done this way for Seasoned Hayao to maximize his now-limited helping slot.
Of course, Alexander arrived on site but still had qualms with his arrangement as Goku's voice actor. Complaints had to be maximized on the 11th hour of things, after all.
He wanted to reason that having a girl voice Goku was the most reasonable thing as he was about to go into weird puberty... but Old Sullivan simply said 'we'll arrange things when we get there'.
He had to conjure up such a true factoid from scouring his enhanced memories but it would seem that the old man was not swayed by the technicalities of things.
Alexander had some many other reasonable reasons before that... but the Old Creed was truly adamant about having him voice "act".
With numerous guilt trips and Alexander himself noticing that he was becoming a whining baby for the past few days, it was best to just stomach stuff and go through with it.
Whatever grand plan his old grandfather had in mind or whatever socializing thing his old brain was scheming up, Alexander just had to power through it and not be a whining baby anymore.
-----
Just as Alexander was about to head to the Creed Animation Studio through CREED, he happened to see a very 80s girl that could very well be the inspiration for Stranger Things Season 2's Nancy Wheeler.
The girl was hanging around the empty lobby desk and a bit confused about what to do.
Of course, Alexander knew that the lady was not Natalie Dyer's Nancy Wheeler looking out for his brother's Eleven-ey escapade but Courteney Cox trying to ask directions for Creed Animations.
It would seem that the casting process happened somewhere else and the casting people hadn't been too clear on handing out directions to the greenlit cast. There were truly downsides to Seasoned Hayao's rush season.

Alexander can more or less notice how much a decade can change fashion style from her. As of now, she was very representative of an 80s woman with her looks but she could also be a 90s representative if her Monica Geller character is taken into account.
His future foresight comparisons aside, it was best that he helped the lady find her way. Anyways, they were going the same way and working together for the most part.
"Hello miss. Can I help you?" Alexander whipped out bits from socializing 101.
Courteney noticed the approacher and didn't think much of it. The kid's parent was probably working here. "Oh. Hello little boy. Do you happen to know where the lobby ladies are? I'm looking for people to talk to in this multifloored place."
"I know most of the places to go here, so you can just follow me." Alexander appeased and explained. "Besides, there are no lobby girls yet. The place doesn't have many new visitors such as you so I find them unnecessary."
"You sure do have a weird way of addressing things. Anyways, I'll make good work of your knowing most places here. Can you point me to where Creed Animations is?" Courteney commented and asked. Inwardly, she was wondering: Are company kids so adept at company operations these days?
"Just follow me." Ignoring her comment, Alexander simply had her tail him around and explain some bits of pieces among the place. "This CREED's first building with many floors as you said. Too bad that the first to top doesn't have the Animations part you're looking for. Animations are in another building by the back. That's where I'll take you."
"Oohh." Courteney was intrigued now. Animation directions aside, she wanted to use this weird kid's adept company knowledge to gain some more information. Since lobby girls aren't befriend-able due to their non-existence, getting info from a random insider kid should be a great alternative. "By the way, since you know most of this company that well, do you also know the bosses? I mean the Creeds."
From her inquiry, Alexander could tell that she might have misunderstood some things about him. He didn't want to outright explain who he is though and wanted to explore how things would play out. "You could say so. Why do you ask?"

"I just want to know the bosses." Courteney seems to have found an easy confidant and gossiped as most girls do. "Are they the stingy type? Why don't they hire a lobby person?"
He seemed to have told her earlier that lobbyists were unnecessary earlier, how come he had been told to be a stingy guy?
"I guess the other boss is stingy as you say." Alexander still played along and he was quite dissatisfied with his grandfather anyways. The old man was truly stingy in giving him chances to decline.
"Ooh." Courteney felt like she found a perfect insider. "Which of the bosses though? Producer Sullivan or comic maker Alexander?"
"Definitely producer Sullivan." Alexander nodded with seriousness. It gave people the impression that this information was truly true.
As for Courteney, she felt that dealing with a stingy old man would not advance her 'establishing connections' plan. She could still try it out with the mysterious one. "What about Mr. Alexander Creed then? Have you seen him? Can you give big sis some bits of information about him?"
"I can..." Alexander was curious. "But why though?"
"Well, I kind of want to impress either of the Creeds to help out my career." It was probably best to keep such scheming details to herself but Courteney felt that sharing it with what looks to be a ten-year-old kid should be no problem. Although the boy was well-informed, how could an employee's child be that close to the boss?
"Although Mr. Creed is mysterious and talented to many people outside. A lot of people inside the company probably consider Alexander Creed as an emotionless block of ice." Alexander was not ignorant of what others think of him, so he gave an apt description to a curious lady.
"I see..." Courteney hummed to process her thoughts. Emotionless, block of ice, then there was mysterious and talented. Coupled with her research on the publicized achievements of the fellow, she might really be in for a jackpot... and a chance she could go for... with this little kid's help that is.
"Does Mr. Alexander have a girlfriend? Maybe a wife or a wife he lost recently." This was what she got from an emotionless block of ice and also an opportunity she could go for.
"He does have a friend whose a girl. That's girl friend with a space or are you asking about the spaceless one... then that's a no." Alexander answered. Of course, he also had a feeling where this Cox gal was using this information for.
"As for wife or ex-wife, he never had one." There weren't even any close calls during his past-future but Alexander was pretty amused at which direction Miss Cox's thoughts might go.
Courteney's eyes gleamed bright and patted the boy's shoulder's solemnly. "Little brother, if you help big sis out, then there's a chance that your mom, dad, or guardian might have an easy promotion. Think about all the toys and snacks you want. Just tell big sis all you know about Alexander Creed?"
"How would everything I know about Mr. Alexander help my "guardians" out?" Alexander now knew what the misunderstanding was about and was just curious about what Miss Cox can do with information about himself.
"Hehe! Don't you think big sis is pretty?" Courteney was quite confident about this but the boy answered with natural nonchalance. "I guess so."
"It isn't a matter of guessing because big sis is PRETTY." Courteney emphasized it and said with confidence. "With big sis' PRETTY-ness, an emotionless block of ice will melt to show its fiery passion! I'm not ready to settle down or whatnot but if everything I can glimpse about the entire Creed Entertainment and Creed Pictures works out well, then I'll be Mrs. Creed! What do you think about that, little brother?"
"I see. I see." Alexander nodded in understanding. Not with Miss Cox's weird thoughts though but a consensus with himself.
He was just wondering what designation he should affix to the notable Miss Cox to be alongside Curious Bob, Innovative Rob, and Seasoned Hayao. Since she's quite cocky... maybe Cocky Cox should be good.

Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it.
