《Solitude's Requiem》Meeting Araam

“You're her spiritual companion, right?” I ask the small furred floating beast in front of me.
The spiritual companion doesn't seem to trust me as it's eyeing me up and down. It takes quite a while before he nods in response to my question.
“We are trying to save your contractor, unfortunately it seems that your sacrifice is impeding her physical condition,” I say in a tone filled with sympathy.
The one-eyed floating furred creature frowns at my words as it looks toward its contractor. Pity and regret are easily distinguished on its face.
“You did what you thought was best, Araam. Now allow us to help you.” I say trying to get this plan in motion.
Eli's companion looks at me with a questioning gaze. Seeming asking me why I would help another.
“Are you asking why I want to help her?” I ask just to be sure.
Araam nods.
“Well, it's because we're family,” I say in a confident tone.
Eli's companion wasn't expecting my answer. It's one eye widens, and its gaze continuously shifts between me and Eli. It seems to be thinking before it decides to face me again. Keenly looking at me, it appears to be looking for something else.
“Do you wish to know something else?” I ask again, just to be sure.
It nods.
“Do you want to know something about us?” I ask, not sure what the creature wants to know.
The spiritual companion looks at everyone in the room before shaking its head. It now looks intently towards Eli again.
“A question about Eli, huh? Are you perhaps wondering how we're going to help her?” I ask with the hopes that this won't take too long.
I receive another nod in reply as the being seems to be keenly listening with a gaze that seems to be asking for my doctor's certificate.

“Allow me to explain to our new acquaintance,” Cornelius says while moving towards Araam.
Araam focuses on this new person who's entering the conversation. Its eye widens before quickly acting as if nothing happened.
“You see my dear small furred fellow, Little Ed here, is capable of using blood magic. Thus, he could give our patient here some of his blood to aid in her recovery process. Besides, your contractor has been through quite the arcane training in these passing years. This should give her some more resistance towards the effect of those horrid experiments.” Cornelius explains in his typical “I'm trying to sell something” voice.
Araam who's been keenly listening to Cornelius's words seems to completely comprehend the situation. It looks at me once more with a gaze that shows its determination to heal its contractor.
“Very good! Look at that eye! It has the true fervor of a gentleman!” Cornelius yells, a bit too excited.
We all look visibly confused at him, which causes him to tone down again.
“Coughs, my apologies, I might have been a bit overzealous.” He says in an apologetic tone.
“You two!” He yells at Idrilth and Ashmodai.
“Don't sit around simply enjoying the show. Got get some medicinal herbs or other items! We don't know what state she's going to be in!” He yells in a commanding tone that shows his clear annoyance.
Ashmodai looks surprised, but finds himself quickly agreeing with Cornelius's statement as he makes his way out of the door.
“I know some people who might have some spell scrolls that could aid her. I should be back in 15 minutes. Good luck, my friend!” He announces before walking out of the door.
Idrilth quickly follows suit.
“I shall go to the Talvit estate and get some potions that aid once life force.” Idrilth says in a monotone voice as they look back at Eli who's still asleep before walking out.

“Let's begin, then,” I say towards the little black-furred companion.
Heeding my words, it seems to be absorbing some black-greenish energy from Eli's body. It's clearly some type of energy that originally belonged to the creature.
It finishes its absorption as the wounds and ritualistic markings on Eli's body are revealed: Slash wounds, embedded crystals, and plenty more signs of experimentation could be seen on her body. Clear disgust visible on my and Cornelius's faces.
A clear scream breaks the silence of our rage as Eli screams in pain. Blood starts to pour out of some wounds that haven't been healed properly. I immediately respond by cutting my right wrist with a knife created by my dark magic. Blood streams out as if it's water streaming from a faucet. The room quickly stenches itself with the smell as I will my blood to go and heal Eli's wound. My dark red blood makes its way towards her wounds. Black blood gets forced out of Eli's body, as the gems also quickly get forced out. They have lost their purpose a long time ago, and now they would only remind her of something she should have never experienced. My own blood flows in her open wounds as they restore her life flow and replace any deficit blood vessels.
My vision begins to shake and darken as I can feel it take its toll on me.
'My body will recover anyway. I just have to make sure that she's fine.' I tell myself, mentally ignoring the weakness in my leg and the sweat rolling over my forehead.
Eli's screaming final subsides as she seems to have been stabilized. Continuing to let more blood flow out of my body, I command it to heal her scars and erase any ritualistic markings that remain. My blood strengthened by my rage at this monstrous event follows my will as Eli's body looks like nothing has ever happened before.
Seeing that the procedure is finished, I decided to sit down and finish the bottle of “wicked blossom.” It's a desperate attempt to subdue all the swirling emotions that cloud my mind.
“I'm going to rest,” I say as I lay on the floor next to the bed.
My body is making it clear that it's suffering from pain as my vision darkens even more.
Looking at the 2 spiritual companions, I could see 2 soft gazes looking at me. A memory of my parents plays itself in my mind.
“Don't look at me like that.” I say before turning around to avoid their gazes.
My vision blackens completely as my body desires to rest. A small comforting pat could be felt before I completely fall into a slumber.
