Cornelius pov:
Imagine the audacity of this child!! He's quite lucky that the child isn't his otherwise I would have beaten his ass. Calmed down from the let's call it "misinformed" situation. I decide to take a sneak peek at little Ed's abilities.

'You have been quite busy I see' Cornelius thinks to himself.
Besides, the little girl he has taken in also seems to be a reincarnated. I guess that could be important later.
His gaze meets the small child that he was talking about.
'She's afraid of demons but appears to be fine with me. Well, it's probably my charisma. What can I say I've always been a charmer.'
Keeping his gaze on her, Cornelius starts thinking once more.
'Besides, I won't be able to be here all the time. It might be better if he has someone he knows.' his face getting more grim, remembering the state he met little boy Edwin in.
"You want to travel to Genesias, dear boy?" I ask, trying to figure out more of his plans.
"Eventually," he answers in this typical uninterested tone of his.
I was about to give him another lesson in my groundbreaking "how to be a gentleman" classes but I could feel a small hand pull on my luxurious gray vest.
"Yes, sweet girl? How can I be of assistance?" I ask in my typical suave voice.
"If brother is my brother, then what are you, sir?" She asks in this shy voice.
This... This... This...
THIS IS THE CUTEST!!
"Well, little girl, how about you call me uncle."

"Really! Thank you so much, uncle!" she yells in excitement.
I swear I could feel my heart melt as soon as she called me uncle.

MC (Edwin Gwayne) Pov:
It seems that Cornelius is quite fond of Elizabeth. Then again, given permission, I think he would talk to a penguin and have quite the bonding time.
I just wish that he wouldn't make such a ruckus every time.
*Sighs*
it seems that Eli calling him "uncle" was a bit too much to handle for our blabbermouth. He passed out quickly after she said it. Eli was panicked when it happened. Luckily, she believed me when I told her it wasn't her fault and that Cornelius is a bit "special". I throw his unconscious body on some blankets that I laid down on the floor.
"big brother, uncle can sleep in the bed that's way more comfortable," she says in her typical cute voice.
"No, he doesn't deserve that," I answer bluntly.
She seems to be a bit confused, but quickly accepts what I say.
Both of them soon fall asleep as I stay awake studying some more about rituals.
That is, until I hear someone knocking on the door. I quickly go to open it and notice a nervous succubus stand before me.
"What is it?" I ask in an intimidating tone.
The female succubus seems to get more fearful, hearing my unhappy tone.
"Someone is here to see you, sir" she answers skittishly.
"Who?"
"Ergilazz Tavit, sir." She finally says, as she was clearly struggling to say his name out loud.
'i don't think I've met him, and if he was important wouldn't Ashmodai have told...'
Remembering one of my conversations with Ashmodai. I start piecing the puzzle together.
'Ergilazz isn't he supposed to be the top arch devil in this city? Why would he want to meet me?' i start wondering.
'Anyways, I can't refuse this invitation.' I think as I imagine his unparalleled strength.
"Well then let's not keep him waiting." I answer back to the succubus, who seems relieved that I'm coming without a hassle.

The Gray God
This is the sequel to The Gray Mage, however, reading it is not required to understand this story. Deciding to allow humans a chance at having a wished granted or a question answered, Rynovar created a quest fifty years into his reign. Upon completing the quest, those who undertook it would be granted an audience with him and permission to make a single request or ask a single question. However, two and a half centuries after he issued the quest, none had succeeded and the quest was believed impossible, several stages of it having never before been completed. When nineteen-year-old Cyrus met Lyda at a restaurant, he broke the norm of his life cleaning up his brothers' messes and keeping them behaving to avoid causing issues for the public. Upon hearing her desire to earn enough money to attempt Rynovar's quest, Cyrus chose to help her complete what was believed to be one of the quests' impossible stages, revealing that he himself had a question for the god he wanted answered...
