《Solitude's Requiem》A "gentle" Reunion
Advertisement
Food in hands I enter my chamber. I decided to bring especially healthy food considering the state of her body. I don't claim to be an expert doctor but eating fruits never hurt someone. Luckily the fruits here seemed to bear a resemblance towards my more well-known palette of choice.
Elizabeth jumps out of bed as soon as I enter. Seeing her drool from seeing the available food, I decided to immediately cut it into small pieces.
Regaining her composure she asks me a question.
"What are you planning to do?" She asks in a worried tone.
"it appears that what I'm studying is going to take quite a while," I say calmly.
"Considering that It's just some reading books, I was thinking about simply studying in the room."
The only reason I didn't return was that I thought I might need Ashmodai's help but thanks to Seer's Blessing that seems to be unnecessary.
The little girl seems to be satisfied with my answer. It's pretty hard to see considering the fact she has started eating as if tomorrow doesn't exist.
"What's going to happen, to me?" She asks while shoving the apple-looking fruit in her mouth.
"You should probably learn more about this world. Teaching you things like controlling your magic and basic information should be possible in this room. Besides even if we destroy something I know who's paying the bill."I say with an evil smile.
*Ashmodai Shudders*
Elizabeth who's been pretty quiet gives me a quick angelic smile for a second. Then she decides that she wanted to eat more instead of thanking me and continued devouring the fruits I brought.

4 days have passed since I started teaching Elizabeth. the days always seem to go in the same order:
I wake up and get breakfast for Elizabeth. Afterwards, I start studying until she wakes up. As soon she wakes up we eat breakfast. After breakfast, I start teaching her all the things I know about this world. In the beginning, she was in quite some denial however she seems to have come to terms with it, in some capacity at least. I get her some food for the evening, she falls asleep, I continue studying for some hours before also falling asleep.

On the 5th day, everything seemed to be going the same. That was until someone suddenly appears in front of my eyes. A spectral human appears in front of me. I Could immediately recognize the figure as I notice some of his features. Wearing: A top hat, carrying his trusted cane and a monocle on his left eye. Without a doubt the spectral before me is Cornelius.
"Well well, hello there little Ed. Didn't expect to see me did you." He says in the voice of someone from the 1800s trying to sell something.
"there go..." I try to respond but get immediately cut off by his voice once more.
"BUT!! Have no fear you see a gentleman always makes a glistening entrance. Anyway what..." Were the last words he said before making eye contact with Elizabeth.
His face is blank as he turns towards me furiously.
"YOU DAMN SCOUNDREL!!! I'VE BEEN GONE FOR WHAT?!?! ABOUT 3 DAYS OR SOMETHING!!!" He yells, his breathing's getting heavier and his eyes more and more furious.
noticing his sudden wrath I try to calm him down.
"Wait for a se..." Are the only words I can say before he starts yelling again
"5 DAYS!! YOU COULDN'T KEEP IT IN YOUR PA...." he yells before I intervene.
I put my hand over his mouth before calmly speaking to him.
"I didn't do anything that you're thinking about. Just let me explain what happened okay?" I say before explaining the situation.
Cornelius luckily calms down quickly while listening to the story. Elizabeth, who I suspected to be in tears from the yelling, seems comfortable with the human-looking spirit.
