《Solitude's Requiem》Exploring The City

Lucille's Light, the largest city in Appolyian. A city with no laws, except the rule that if you are strong enough, you can do anything. Here I thought I could simply explore this city, but I have no idea where to even begin. Sigh, I take a look at the card Ashmodai gave me. 'I guess that this soul magic could be a good place to begin.' I think, continuing to look around.

'It's quite beautiful.' The light surrounding this city seems to have a more reddish tint than what I used to see. The city itself is also filled with runes and has quite a lot of different architecture. i continue admiring while trying to figure out what to do. My thoughts get interrupted as I had to dodge an imp getting thrown away.

“WHERE ARE YOU, LITTLE WEAKLING” A pale-looking orc yells in this direction.

The imp visibly shudders at the taunting aimed at him and makes eye contact with me. His eyes start to glow with a grayish tint while he looks at me. He quickly stands up and walks behind my back.

Not turning around, I ask. “What do you thi…” before I am rudely interrupted.

“THERE YOU ARE” As the pale orc appears before me. He doesn't seem to have great eyesight, and his pale skin is comparable to that of a corpse. I quickly use appraisal and discover that he is considered an undead, devouring orc.

I try to calmly walk aside when suddenly the undead orc's rib case opens up and tries to eat me whole. I quickly dive into my own shadow and appear 5 meters further out of a wall. I glare at the imp before looking back at the orc.

'Great, another dumb one? He doesn't seem to be that strong and if I run some demons could take that as a sign of weakness. Sigh, let's just kill him while keeping our distance.

The undead orc sprints at me in a frenzy of rage. As he opens his rib cage once more, I decide to use the spell fireball and shoot it inside. Feeling his insides get burned, he screams in pain.

“AAAAAHHHA! PAIN YOU WILL PAY!!” He says with even more rage than before as he rushes towards me again, I decided to expand a dark circle field around myself. He ignores my obvious scheme and simply decides to walk into it. I cut my hand and blood drips on the dark circle. Dark reddish spears rise from the dark circle. These dark spears imbued with my blood quickly pierce the rushing orc. Paled by my many spears, he pointlessly struggles.

'I'm guessing that he's only alive because of that ability called endurance'. I think to myself. Before throwing the card that Ashmodai gave to me toward the already defeated pale orc. It pierces his shoulder as purple energy begins to flow inside the card and the orc turns limp.
