《Royal Four-Ces》RF Expert Guide: Set~♥ It~♥ Up~♥

Can’t cha read? ’Ta name’s Fabiana ♣, DUH! Of course, ya recognize me! Everyone does, DUH!
Anyway, I can’t believe “someone” didn’t already show ya how to play Royal Four-Ces! (more like Royal Snore-Ces if you ask me, cuz sometimes it puts me to sleep..)
Don’t cha worry~♥ I won’t bore you with the details! Well…at least not all at once~♥ Let’s take it one step at a time!
First, we can chit-chat about what you’ll need to play~♥
You’ll need:
A 54-card deck of playing cards per player. Jokers included. One six-sided dice numbered 1-6. One ten-sided dice numbered 0-9. Or two sets of dice per player, if I make you too shy and you don’t feel like sharing~♥ 10 markers for each player to keep track of the Stat Cards. What are the Stat Cards? We’ll save that for a later lesson! Anyway, the 10 markers can be whatever junk ya have layin’ around, like coins, or in this case, we’ll be using red and black game pawns! (This one is optional but recommended~♥) Smallholders/stands to prop up yer cards on the War Grid with! What’s the War Grid? You’ll see~♥
That’s not too much, is it~? Good! Cuz we ain’t dun yet~♥ Let’s talk about that War Grid!
This is yer War Grid~♥
You may construct it however ya want, on paper or an actual game board. It don’t matter, just as long it matches this overall layout~♥ Faith prefers constructing it with wood hexagon tiles, but I prefer squares. I mean, look at it, DUH, everything is in neat rows, so why not use squares? Anyway, you CAN see it, right? I shouldn’t have to explain that your tiles should be marked with poker Hearts ♥, Spades ♠, and roman numerals. Just check the pretty picture for assistance, DUH!

Moving on~♥ I promise we are almost done for the day~♥
This is what a complete War Grid looks like~♥
See those poker cards off to the left-hand sides of the Burning Lands ♥ and Nightfall Swamp (Yuck! 🤮)? Those are ’ta Stat Cards I was talkin’ about! Those black lines and tan blocks on top of the Hearts ♥ and Spade ♠ symbol tiles represent the smallholders/stands for the cards. When they are propped up, your opponent should see the sleeves of the cards, not the faces, because they are supposed to be hidden. Well, I guess if ya make big ass tiles, you could put your cards face down on the War Grid, but I think using stands would make your life easier…
Okay, since a promise is a promise, I’ll wrap things up~♥ We’ll return to the subject of divvying up the Stat Cards and what cards go where on the symbol tiles later~♥
That’s all for now! This ain’t everything, DUH, but it should help visualize if you were reading a story or somethin’.
Buh-Bye~♥

The Blackgloom Bounty
In the dark days before the end of the first millennium, Scotland (or Scotia as some called it) was a leaderless hodgepodge of tribes, clans and warring factions all bent on the same thing--domination of the land. Wizards, sorcerers and magicians still plied their trade, though much of their power had given way to the machinations of men and their war machines. To the south of Scotia lay the realm of the Saxons ruled by Ethelred the Unready and his ruthless minions. To the west, Ireland had just come of age. Everywhere else the constant threat of a lightning swift Viking incursion loomed over the land.Growing up in this lawless world is a displaced Daynin McKinnon, heir to an ancient familial keep on the island of Rhum. He and his grandfather Ean scratch out a living amongst the Saxons, careful never to divulge their clan heritage. That all changes when Kruzurk Makshare chooses Daynin as the ideal prospect to help him bring down a vile sorcerer named The Seed of Cerberus, ferreted away in his impregnable fortress at Blackgloom. Little does Kruzurk know that in so doing, he will launch young Daynin, himself and others on a vast, dangerous quest that no one could have foreseen. *****One Hollywood producer has dubbed this three book fantasy epic from Jon Baxley as, "BRAVEHEART meets THE LORD OF THE RINGS." Real places, people and events flesh out this fast moving, multi-faceted semi-historical series but fear not fantasy readers. There's more than enough of the magical, mystical mayhem you have come to expect from great fantasy. Romance readers, too, will enjoy the 'spice' in these characters--and there are a lot of them--both human and otherwise. And if you're into Viking lore, this series certainly is for you. When someone asks the author about his series, he answers with, “There were far more surprises in this tale than I ever expected and it's not over yet! Scholar of the Fog
Leaving a trail of blood as he climbed up a hill, his limbs felt like lead. He was gasping too, his lungs burning with every step he took. It felt like a bundle of broken glass was scraping away the inner walls of his flesh. He was dying, obvious to both him and his pursuers. And it would not be long till he dropped dead as he bled away. If not, the people chasing him would surely finished what they had came for. It was as if the Gods themselves had already predestined his fate. He took one step forward and stood at the peak of the hill. He let his legs rest as he could barely go on. Heaving deep breaths, he could hear sneering voices and shouts behind him. They were close, and the grim realization stoked the embers of his most primal fear. He did not want to die. He had dreams, like any other youth. There was glory to be had in this world. He wanted to learn more of life, and lived through its motions. He wanted to live. He swept his gaze, and across him was a spanning forest of old. With a glint in his eyes, and jaws clenched, he decided to gamble with all he had. He was dying, and by now, it did not matter where his grave was. He ran down the hill, and stopped where the plains and the forest met. His eyes swept about the trees, and he could feel an instinctual urge to drag himself away. He knew what this forest was, and here, he would find his salvation. Or his doom. The voices behind him grew closer, and among the noise was the faint clanging of steel. Gritting his teeth, he ousted all the will he had from the depths of his soul and stepped forth into the forest. Damned he be by the Gods if they wanted him dead. -new synopsis 10/6/2016 ---------- A new chapter would be released every friday. And the quality of writing should improve each time, hopefully. Another important thing to mention is how the story as of now, is only a bedrock for a massive world if it ever gets there. (CH18) And if possible, reviews are very much appreciated. ---------- For the ones who are interested in the old synopsis: With one foot in the grave, he ran away for that little bit of hope.
