I want to get out of this right now! Zea!!! Get me out of here! My mother made me so angry! You ruined my whole life! I can never forgive you, mother!
I opened my eyes, and I turn my head to look up & I see Zea smiling at me. Oval of Zea’s wide face; features strangely soft. Curls fell ragged around her face, knotted around her ears: uncombed, and grappled into an unraveling braid. The outfit she is wearing: a shirtwaist with a small rounded collar, in a sober color– steel grey.
Zea: What's wrong? (She smiled as she started to caress my hair)
Sora: I hate my mother, she never came to visit me while I was in the UK. She didn't even give me a phone call. Not even once! No, letters or gifts on birthdays or Christmas. The only she cared about was me getting stronger so she can show the world, how strong, I am! To hell with her! My life would've been almost perfect if she raised me when I was a damn child! Damn her, I hate her, she ruined my life!
Zea: I think your mother feels guilty. She couldn't take care of you. She'd choose to be the world's champion instead of being a mother first. I get why you're angry with her. But she had to make a tough choice. It was either be the world's savior or be a great mother to her children.
Sora: She'd picked the wrong damn thing! But I can give her this, she only spent time with my three older siblings, because they're more important than me!
Zea: If you saw your mom, then what would you do?
Sora: I will turn my back to her, and walk away. She wouldn't be missing anything at all!
Zea: The choice she'd made was tough. But think about it, either she protects billions of lives or protects and raise a family.
Sora: I don't want to go back. I want to stay here for a little bit.
Zea: If you're not going back in your memory then I will train you until you feel like going back.
Sora: Fine.
Zea: First let us get out of this grimoire. (Zea snapped her fingers, then we're outside)

When I looked around, all I see is flat land covered with grass for miles on end. Then I got up from Zea's thighs, as I stood up and so did she.
Zea: I want to work on those crimson lion eyes. So, activate them, please.
Sora: I don't know-how.
Zea: Concentrate a lot of your magic into your eyes.
Concentrate a lot of mana into my eyes. I have to focus on my core then pour a lot of magic to my eyes. That's simple enough.
I feel something but it's so difficult to keep this up.
Sora: How long will this take?
Zea: Just pour more mana until I say stop.
Yo, Rin, can you tell me when I'm close to success?
Alright, leave it to me.
Zea: You have to go faster! You think your opponent will give you this much time, huh? No, this has to be second nature! You must be absolute perfection!
Rin, how much longer!?
Oh, my bad! Huh, it looks like it's done. But your eyes haven't changed a bit. I have multiple hypotheses, to trigger your ocular power, think to an emotional time in your life that makes you feel angry. Try that if it doesn't then I have a couple more.
So anger is the trigger? My anger with my mom should do it!
I thought you loved me, mom but you don't! All these years, you wouldn't even come and see me!? To hell with you!
Zea: Blue, do you hate your mother?
Sora: Hell yes!
Zea: Use that hatred! The hatred that you feel right now never let it go! Hatred is the most powerful weapon you have!
When Zea got done talking, a rush of power charge through me, I feel my blood boiling. Then I heard a lion's roar in my right ear after that I heard sand blowing in my left ear. Then a surge of power went through my eyes, then a sharp pain shot through my eyes. Causing me to put hands on my eyes because of the unbearable pain.
Why does it hurt so much!?
Zea: Take your hands off your face and look at me and my surroundings.
I did what she said, I opened my eyes then I see everything in great detail.

Zea: Tell me what you see, Blue.
Sora: I see your mana flowing throughout your body. I can even see the world's mana flowing through the air and ground. And what is with the barrier? And where are we?
Zea: We're in the countryside of Germany. The barrier because I decided to make Germany the Reapers' hideout.
Sora: I don't sense anyone but us. What did you do?
Zea: I massacred all of Germany's people. And don't you remember what Valencia said?
Sora: That's right, I forgot she said that you wiped them out. So people can't come in unless they have permission.
Zea: Yes and no, you see any person can come to Germany but that person is in considerable danger because I will rush to them and kill them if they step one foot in the barrier.
Her mana-core just went from orange to purple. Is she going to attack me?
Zea: Let's get the party started. I'm going to attack you now.
Zea closes in on me with her tremendous speed and launches a kick to my chest making a resounding thwack sound.
When she launched that kick, everything begin to slow down a little bit. Even though there's a significant difference in our speed between me and her.
Zea: If you don't fight back I will kill you! (Bam!!! Zea runs up to me and unleashes a devastating flying knee)
Wait to see her pattern of attack then react and strike trust me.
Sora: As you wish! (I threw a double jab with the right but Zea moves her hand and bends her legs quickly and simultaneously shifts her body slightly right)
Zea: Every attack must land! (Wham! Zea lands a powerful right jab that connected with my chin)
Everything is slowing down. I can react better every time she attacks.
Make sure to keep your guard up you won't be able to take hits like that.
Zea: You can't stop my attacks!? (Whack! A right hook that was glowing the color of lavender connected a piece of the side of my jaw but I ended up blocking most of it)
Sora: You can't stop my attacks either! (I launched a flurry punches but all of them were blocked)
Zea: What did you say!? ( Bam!!! Zea launches a left hook kick to my ribs causing me to fall)
Damn, I think she cracked my ribs! You were right I can't take a hit then dish one out like I usually do. I have to dodge every single attack.
Read the attack then decide what to do. Also, use your eyes powers that your brother and sisters were talking about!
I don't know how?
Ask Zea.
Sora: How can I use my eyes power?
Zea: You finally ask that question! Here's what you do, focus on what eye you want to use then yell out power name. Remember for your right eye, it is for Sekhmet, and for the left eye is for Nemean Lion.
Sora: Alright then! Sekhmet! (Blast! Sand particles started to form a barrier around her then itexploded. The explosion sent Zea flying for 40 meters, but she instantly came back right in front of me)
Zea: Good! You can make the attack go a lot quicker if you want. Okay, we're done for today, we will practice tomorrow but you need to master both eye powers.
Sora: Ah! My right eye it stings like hell! I can feel the blood dripping on my hand! Why am I in pain!?
Zea: When a Hestia activates their eye ability for the first time then they will be in a lot of pain for ten minutes, each minute that the pain will get much worse and worse until time runs out. When a Hestia activates their second eye ability the pain is double but it will only last for three minutes. I'm so glad I remember what she said about those eyes.
Sora: Ten minutes!
Zea: Activate the other eye, now!
Sora: Nemean Lion! (A eight-foot long golden lion appears right in front of me)
Damn! My eye stings it's like someone put a dart through my eye!
Zea: Dark Magic: Sleeping Lullaby!
I hear Zea's melodic humming in my head, I feel so relaxed, I want to go to sleep on the soft tall grass.
Zea: This is the only way to ease your pain.

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)

A Study in Rain
A Study in Rain deals with the realistic aspects of a post-apocalyptic world, and shows the life of one of the last remaning humans. The story focuses on worldbuilding and exploration of the world by the protagnist. Common themes throughout the story are lonliness, seclusion and survival. If you have ever wondered how it would be like to live as the last human in the world, then this is the story for you. This story, like my others, occurs in a shared universe. you can check out the short story series I'm writing here: Dark Fantasy Short Stories. I will try to write one chapter per day, but it might be delayed sometimes.
