Magic Duel Arc.

Professor Asparata walks to her front desk and starts by greeting all the students.

However, unlike her, she has no energy in her voice she seems fatigued and unmotivated.

"Morning students. Let's begin the class"-Professor Asparata said in a tiring voice.

She then starts the lesson which once again was without any kind of energy and motivation which was out of character for Professor Asparata.

Valoran is surprised to see that Professor Asparata is not her usual self.

"Something is wrong with her"-Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran's friends also noticed that something is off with Professor Asparata.

"Is it just me?... Or is Professor Asparata not herself?"-Atticus asked.

" Your right she is usually smiling and always so cheerful as well as being full of energy. Now she seems tired, stressed, and has no motivation to teach. I can also see some fear in her eyes."-Selina says.

"She does seem like a different person"-Biatrix said.

" Your right. Something does seem to trouble the Professor"-Valoran says to his three friends.

As the teaching continues more and more students also start to notice how different Professor Asparata seems to be.

"Is she alright?" "What's wrong with her?" "I hope she is alright"- The other students are muttering to each other.

After a while, the lesson finished.

"Valoran what happened to Professor Asparata? Any thoughts?"-Atticus asked curiously.

Valoran grabs his chin.

" Hmm, I can't say for certain. I think she has some trouble with an organisation. Specifically debtors."-Valoran said.

"Why do you think that"-Selina asked.

" It's simple actually. First, she looks like she hasn't slept in a while and looks exhausted. I think it is due to her working more than just this one teaching job. I also believe that she has been doing this for a while. Since she is someone filled with so much energy and passion for teaching which helped her to mask her exhaustion for a while, but now it seems that her limit has been reached."-Valoran said.

"That's awful"-Selina said.

" It's only a theory."-Biatrix said.

"True. I just based it on the observation I made"-Valoran said.

" Enough about that. Let's head to the arena and get some training done"-Valoran said.

The four head to the arena to train for the upcoming magic duels.

They arrive at the arena and begin training.

Selina is being pushed back while fighting against Valoran.

"Selina I am impressed. Your magic control and your arsenal of spells improved significantly"-Valoran said.

Biatrix also launches magic attacks toward Valoran.

Valoran easily counters that by also launching an attack from the tip of his finger.

" Biatrix. Your magic control exceeds that of Selina's. Well done."- Valoran said.

Atticus also attacks Valoran with his sword. For Valoran it was easy to block.

"Atticus your confidence and abilities have improved. Keep at it" -Valoran said.

They continued to train for another hour until the final lesson began.

Valoran and the other three made their way back to their class hall.

They arrive and take their seats and wait for Professor Asparata.

20 minutes went by and there is no sign of her.

"What's going on" "Do we just leave?"-The other students are asking each other.

"It is strange, she is not here yet."- Valoran says.

" You are right."-Atticus replied.

"It is a mysterious circumstance"-Biatrix said.

" I don't know if we should leave or wait"-Selina said.

The moment she said that the class door opened and another teacher walked in.

An elvish female teacher entered the class hall.

"Good afternoon. I am Professor Aestrar. I am sorry to inform you. Professor Asparata has quit her teaching position. Until we can locate a different Professor you will be doing self-study."

Hearing that Professor Asparata quit all the students were in shock and disbelief.

Professor Asparata loved her students and her teaching position.

"What?" "No way" "She was a great Professor"-The students are speaking to each other in sadness.

" No, I can't believe she quit out of no

where."-Atticus said.

"Neither can I. It seems that she is in deeper trouble than I have originally thought."-Valoran said.

" I am worried about her"-Selina said.

"True."-Biatrix replied.

The lesson finished early that day.

Valoran, Atticus, Biatrix, and Selina made their way to the front gate.

Still very much concerned about the sudden decision of Professor Asparata to quit.

"Do you think that the Professor is in trouble?"-Atticus asked.

" No need to worry. She's a magic Professor at this academy, I am sure she can handle herself"-Biatrix replied.

"She's right. It's getting late. Go home don't worry too much about it"-Valoran said.

They arrive at the gate and part ways.

"Goodbye"-Atticus said with a smile.

"See you tomorrow"-Selina said with a smile.

" See you guys"-Biatrix said.

"Yeah see you all tomorrow," Valoran said

With those words left behind each of them made their way home.

Valoran however, did not go home.

"Let's see what's going on with the Professor."-Valoran said to himself.

He then uses location magic to locate Professor Asparata.

After a couple of seconds, he located her. She was disguising herself in a robe to not be seen.

"Why is she trying to remain out of sight?"-Valoran said to himself.

Valoran then casts teleportation magic which teleported him near Professor Asparata.

Valoran then watches Professor Asparata enter an inn.

" Entering an inn. I better wait to see where she is heading afterwards."-Valoran said to himself.

Hours go by and it's getting darker and darker until eventually, the sun is gone and it is now dark.

Valoran remained patient and waited. He then witnessed Professor Asparata leave the inn and started walking.

Not wanting to be seen by Professor Asparata he cast shadow magic and became a shadow which allows him to follow the Professor in complete silence.

After walking for a while Professor Asparata takes a dark passageway or also called side passages.

"Hmm, strange. Why would she take that route?"-Valoran thought to himself?

He continued to follow her. As he followed her he noticed that the lights continue to diminish or in other words the streets became darker and darker.

After a little while, Professor Asparata comes to a stop.

A few seconds later 4 demon males show up and surround Professor Asparata.

Based on her expression it was no secret to Valoran that Professor Asparata was here against her will. He saw fear in her eyes and she was shaking.

This was unlike her. She's usually full of energy and joy. This was not the case. This was serious.

One of the 4 demons starts to speak.

"Do you have the money?."

"Not all of it. Please I already left my teaching position as you told me to"-Professor Asparata said.

You demi-human fool. I told you to bring me all the money. Or don't you want to see your sister?"-The demon male said.

" Please don't hurt her. Please let her go. Take me"-Professor Asparata begged.

"Don't you dare to give me any orders. Filth."-The demon replied.

Out of rage, the lead demon male grabbed Professor Asparata by her demi-human ears and started to yell at her and hurt her.

" YOU SCUM!. I TOLD YOU. GET MY MONEY!!. NOW YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR SISTER AGAIN!!."

"Ahhh. LET ME GO!"-Professor Asparata screams in pain.

" That's enough"-Valoran immerges from the shadows.

"Valoran. What are you doing here?"

"Who are you? Little punk"-The demon says.

" Get out of here. Quickly they will hurt you."-Professor Asparata warned Valoran.

"Ha. They can't hurt me. All I see is pathetic scum"-Valoran says.

" What?!" "You little"-The other three demons are saying in rage.

" Now then. What's the matter here?"-Valoran asked slowly walking toward all of them?

"I am waiting for an answer."-Valoran said.

"My sister has been kidnapped by these four. If I don't pay them a ransom I won't get her back"-Professor Asparata said while crying.

"I see. I heard rumours that people have been kidnapped over the last few weeks. Let me take a guess. If anyone alerts the authorities you will hurt or even kill the kidnapped" -Valoran said.

"You are right. When my sister was kidnapped I was told to pay a 5000 gold ransom and if I was to tell anyone they would kill her"-Professor Asparata cried.

"Hey. Who told you to speak about that? Do you want me to kill your sister?"-The demon said.

" No, please. Valoran pleases leave -"-Professor Asparata gets interrupted.

"Why would I do that?"-Valoran asked.

" They can't harm me"-Valoran said.

"Grab him"-The lead demon said.

The other three demons charge toward Valoran.

Valoran just stands still and smirks.

" On your knees"-Valoran says and his voice echoes.

Immediately the three demons are on their knees and can't get up.

"Now. You will take me to her sister otherwise you will regret it."-Valoran says in an angered tone.

" What? Who are you?"- The demon leader asked

"Who I am is none of your concern. Take. Me. To. Her. Sister."-Valoran instructs the Demons.

"Like hell, I will"- The lead demon said.

After he said that the demon casts lighting elemental magic and shoots bolts of lighting toward Valoran.

" DIE!"-The demon screamed.

"NOOO!"-Professor Asparata screams while Valoran is struck by lightning.

" That should teach him a lesson-"-Cut off mid-sentence.

"The only one that needs to be taught a lesson is you four clowns"-Valoran says.

"What? How are you still standing?"-The lead demon asks

He then freezes the demon in place but not with telekinesis it's something else...

"I can't move. My entire body hurts. What are you doing to me?"- The lead demon asks

" It's simple I am controlling you by manipulating all the blood and muscles in your body. Something I created much more painful than regular freezing methods."- Valoran replies.

He then walks toward Professor Asparata and heals her by casting .

"I hope you are alright"- Valoran says.

"I am thank you."- Professor Asparata says filled with gratitude.

"Now. Let's find your sister."-Valoran says.

Both of them made their way to the demon leader.

Valoran places his hand on the demon's forehead and starts to enter his mind to extract the memories.

" Let's me see into your mind."-Valoran says.

"I see not too far from here."-Valoran says.

"Have you located her?"- Professor Asparata asks in excitement and a little worried about her safety.

Valoran casts teleportation magic.

They arrive at the basement in which Professor Asparata's sister is being held.

What they find is something truly horrific....
