Magic Training Arc.

Valoran and the other group 3 Applicants make their way down to the arena to take on the Professors in a magic duel to impress the Professors with their magic.

The first 10 Applicants are selected and begin to duel.

"Begin!" - The Professors are instructing the Applicants to begin.

Valoran stands there lined up with the other group 3 Applicants waiting for his turn.

Valoran is watching the duels. He is not that impressed with the magic powers the Applicants are demonstrating.

"For the most promising Applicants I expected more overall" - Valoran thought to himself.

However, Valoran is amazed at the courage and willpower the applicants are demonstrating.

"They might lack any magic talent at the moment....but they show great potential. With training they can become strong magic users" - Valoran thought to himself.

The duels continued. Various spells are being cast as the Applicants from Group 3 are facing off against the Professors.

Finally, the last Group 3 Applicant is being called in the 4th square duel area inside the huge Arena.

It's Valoran.

All the Applicants and Professors are staring at Valoran as he makes his way to the Arena.

The Professor he will be facing is the same intimidating male demi-human that the boy faced. The same boy who Valoran helped out against Binarc.

The Professor, just like with the boy before asks Valoran if he is ready to begin the duel.

Valoran with a straight face nods his head signalling the Professor that he is ready to begin the duel.

"Begin!" - The Professor said to Valoran.

Valoran then starts the duel.

Valoran takes a tiny step then ... A HUGE AMOUNT OF WIND PUSHES is NOT ONLY THE PROFESSOR BUT ALSO THE ENTIRE PEOPLE PRESENT AT THE ARENA, AND THE ARENA STARTS TO SHAKE LIKE A EARTHQUAKE EVEN THE ARENA WALLS START TO CRACK.

The Professor is shocked and speechless for a moment.

"W-W-What? How did you do that?" - The Professor asked shocked at the power just shown.

"I did not sense you casting magic" - The Professor said.

Valoran then looks at the Professor and answers his question.

"You are correct. I did not cast a spell. All I did was just take a tiny step. That was just the shockwave of that step that did all the damage" - Valoran said.

Shocked at the fact that he showed so much power just by taking a tiny step. He proceeds to reply.

"I-I-Impossible. How do you have so much power?" - He asked.

The other Applicants and professors are also just in shock at Valoran's power.

"Who is he?" "You do not want to be his enemy" - The other Applicants are whispering to each other.

Also, the boy and the girl from the confrontation with Binarc are just in shock at this power.

"How can a being be so powerful?" - The boy asked the girl.

The girl with no idea faces the boy and answers him.

"I have no idea myself" - The girl answers the boy.

The Professor got back up on his feet and then proceeds to launch an attack of his own toward Valoran.

"How do you handle this!?" - The Professor asked with a little cocky attitude.

- Lightning elemental magic.

A huge amount of magic is launched towards Valoran.

Valoran stands perfectly still and does not move a single inch and lets himself get hit by the Professors lightning.

As the lightning blast hit Valoran it creates a huge amount of wind and dirt from the Arena floor which is covering the duel area.

"What happened?" - The other Applicants are asking each other.

As the dust clears the Professor is shocked for the second time as he sees Valoran standing completely unphased as nothing happened without casting a magical barrier.

"Unbelievable!. That attack was one of my stronger attacks. You took it head-on. Not even a single hair strain has been moved" - The Professor said.

Valoran keeps up his emotionless expression, other than a smirk on his face.

Valoran then points a single finger toward the Professor.

Now it's Valorans turn to cast magic...

Valoran casts a single bolt of lightning is being shot directly towards the Professor from Valorans fingertip.

Everyone is in shock..... Normally lightning is blue or white.

However Valorans lightning is crimson red.

"Red lightning!?" - The other Applicants and even Professors are asking each other.

The Professor cast a magical barrier to protect himself from the attack.

However Valorans red lightning had no problem breaking down the barrier and striking the Professor.

" Ahhhh" - The Professor cries in pain.

The attack was so powerful that it not only broke through the barrier. It also sent the Professor flying into the arena wall at a high speed. This caused the Professor to become unconscious.

Everyone could not even understand what they just saw, at the fact that the lightning was red, that the lightning was shot from a single fingertip which had enough magic power to completely destroy the Professor's magical barrier and knock him unconscious.

"The duel is over! Valoran won!" - The Headmaster said.

"No way. He beat a Professor" - The other Applicants are saying to each other.

Medical personnel quickly head towards the unconscious Professor.

They immediately cast healing magic to heal the injuries and try to wake him up.

Valoran then walks up to the medical personnel.

"Please let me." - Valoran said.

Valoran then casts healing magic.

As soon as he did that the Professor woke back up.

"H-H-Huhh what happened?" - The Professor asked.

The Headmaster then explains the situation.

"You lost. After that, you got knocked unconscious. Valoran then healed your injuries" - The Headmaster explained.

Not surprised and regaining back his senses he got back up.

"I see. It seems I was beaten fair and square" - The Professor said.

Rather than being upset or angered towards himself or Valoran, he stretches out his hand to handshake Valoran.

Valoran smiles and accepts the handshake.

"Hahaha. You are one hell of an Applicant. I cannot wait to see your journey here" - The Professor said.

Valoran then also proceeds to fix up the arena using creation magic one more time.

Valoran then makes his way back to his seat.

After that, the other remaining groups (4-10) also fought in duels against the Professors.

As time passed on the duels slowly but surely ended.

The Headmaster then makes a final speech at the centre of the Arena.

"Dear Applicants!. I was extremely pleased with all of you. All of you did very well. Whether you get accepted or not all of you did very well" - The Headmaster says praising all the efforts the Applicants showed.

"Please take a break. Head to the cafeteria to get something to eat or have a closer look at our academy." - The Headmaster said.

The applicants including Valoran left the Arena.

Unlike most Applicants, Valoran did not head toward the cafeteria.

Instead, he headed towards the outside garden area of the academy.

There he was able to sit down and relax.

Until the boy showed up together with the girl.

They both smiled at Valoran as they headed toward him.

The boy then says....

"Hello. Valoran Silver was it?" - The boy asked.

Valoran then faced the boy and smiled a little.

"Yes. Nice to meet you. Your name is?" - Valoran asked.

"Oh sorry for not introducing myself earlier I am Atticus Maverick"

The girl then also introduces herself.

"It's nice to meet you. I am Selina Atlantia. We just came by to thank you probably for earlier. I mean for helping us out against my ex-boyfriend" - Selina said.

"Your very welcome" - Valoran said with a friendly voice tone and smile.

The boy asks....

"May we sit here with you?"

"Of course please do" - Valoran replied with a friendly tone.

"Thank you" - Both: Selina and Atticus said.

Both of them sat together with Valoran in the garden area of the academy.

They wanted to get to know Valoran a little better.

"So.... Valoran how are you this strong" - Atticus asked.

"It's all about training and having the correct knowledge" - Valoran replied.

"But you are the only Applicant who was able to beat a Professor and not only that. You did with ease" - Selina said to Valoran amazed at his talent.

"She's right. Look at me I am a failure. I am sure I won't get admitted to the academy." - Atticus said with a sad voice.

"Don't say that" - Selina said.

"She's right you shouldn't say that about yourself. Both of you have so much potential. With you Atticus the only thing that got in your way was you. Your lacked confidence which in turn made your magical power weaker. If you can gain enough confidence in your abilities you can become a great magician I am sure of it" - Valoran said.

Atticus was very touched to hear those words.

"Thank you so much" - Atticus replied with a smile.

He then turns towards Selina.

"With you Selina your magic was excellent. The problem was when you tried to use cosmic magic which is a complex spell you lost control. The reason was that the greater your magic power and the harder the spell the harder it is to maintain control. Focus on mastering the foundations first then move on to higher tier magic"-Valoran said to Selina.

"Thankyou your right" - Selina said

"Do you think you will become the next Magic King?" - Selina asked Valoran.

"I do not know but it is my goal for sure to protect the world" - Valoran replied.

"We believe in you" - Atticus said to Valoran.

"He's right" - Selina followed up.

"Thank you both for your kind words." - Valoran said.

The trio then talked for a while until they heard the magical speaker system make an announcement.....

"The results are ready. Please make your way towards the front gate there you will see a name with exactly 113 students (some students scored the same results in all exams). If your name is on, congratulations you are officially a student at our academy".

"Shall we go?" Valoran asked.

"Yes let's go" - Atticus replied.

The trio heads to the front gate with a billboard with a large crowd of Applicants wanting to know if they made it into the academy.

The trio make their way to the billboard.

As they look for their names they are full of joy to see that all of them passed.

"We did" - Atticus said to Valoran and Selina.

"Yes we did" - Valoran replied with a smile.

" I am so excited" - Selina said full of Joy.

The trio went their separate ways and said goodbye to each other as the sun began to set.

Valoran decides whether he should walk or teleport home.

He decides to walk home.

"It's a beautiful sunset I think I'll walk back home" - Valoran said.

With that Valoran makes his way back to his Village.

As he walks through the capital market place he sees a little elvish girl crying and looking all confused...

"Where are her parents?" - Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran makes his way over to the little girl. As he did a tall middle-aged demon man made his way over the girl.

"That does not seem right" - Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran fearing for the worst walks toward them.....
