Magic Training Arc

Valoran listens as one of them speaks....

"My name is Alora Elsher (A beautiful elvish girl however a rare type. Unlike normal elves she has silver hair and red eyes). I am the leader of the disciplinary committee." - She said.

Valoran then looks at the others.

"My name is Valoran Silver" - He said, calmly introducing himself.

"Am I in any kind of trouble" - He asked with a straight calm face

The disciplinary committee leader then starts getting close, her silver long hair trailing behind.

"That depends" - Alora said.

"On what? - Valoran asked unphased by any of this.

She then takes a closer look to get a clearer image of Valoran.

" Tell me Valoran Silver. Why did you step into the confrontation earlier? It's our job to resolve these conflicts on academic grounds. We were about to step in when you showed up." - Alora said with a calm yet a little curious tone of voice.

Valoran then thinks back to when he would constantly protect his village and especially his mother from dangerous situations, and how his mother would always tell him to use his great power for good and to protect the ones who are in need.

"Valoran always help the ones that are unable to help themselves. Never ignore someone who is in need" - Aelina (Valoran's elvish mother) said in a flashback to a younger Valoran

"I wouldn't get involved in conflicts that have nothing to do with me. However, when that boy was attacked by lethal amounts of magic I couldn't just stand by and do nothing. My mother would be very disappointed if I did so" - He answered calmly.

A little surprised by his answer Alora makes a surprising face.

"I see. I just picked you for the type that did not care for others and only stepped in, to show off your powers and just has fun bullying the bullies" - Alora said with a straight face as she wants to maintain her professionalism in front of Valoran and the other disciplinary committee members.

"I understand that my appearance can say that about me (tall stature red eyes, black hair and deep voice). However I assure you I would never sink to that level where I would need to show my powers by showing it off by bullying someone" - Valoran said with a straight face.

Satisfied with his answer the 5 disciplinary committees left.

"He's interesting" - Alora said while walking with the other 4 members.

Valoran proceeds to look further around the academy as he still has time left before the applicants finish their exams.

"I wonder how many books this academy is possessing. I still have 40 minutes." - Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran then proceeds to find the library.

"Now then where could the library be? An academy this huge probably has thousands of books on magic and more. Meaning that the library must be a separate building" - Valoran thought to himself while walking.

He then finds a huge round building.

"This must be library well at least I hope it is" - Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran makes his way over to the round building.

He stands in front of a giant door. He opens the door and enters the library.

Valoran is amazed at the number of books present at the library.

"Uhm impressive. This library contains significantly more books than the capital library." - Valoran thought to himself.

Behind him, a male voice spoke all of a sudden...

"That's because the academy is responsible for locating the next Magic King" - The voice male said.

Valoran turns around to face the source of the voice. He sees 2 people. (1 human Male and 1 succubus female)

"I am sorry for surprising you like that. My name is Philip Otrana I am helping out at the library whenever I have spare time.

This is Michelle Nadria she is also helping out the library whenever she has free time. - Philip said.

" It's nice meeting you"- Michelle said in a little shy voice while down.

"Please excuse her shy personality. You see many look down on succubuses because of their habit to seduce men. I assure you not every succubus is like that" - Philip explained.

"My name is Valoran Silver. I just finished the enrolment exam a little early and just wanted to see the academy and the library. I must say you have quite the number of books and scrolls present. " - Valoran said in a little surprised tone.

"Thank you we are very proud of that" - Philip responded.

Valoran faces Michelle.

"Do not worry. I never look down on others just because of what race they are. You seem like an honest and hardworking person" - Valoran said

Michelle is stunned by Valoran looks and starts to blush a little.

"Are you interested in books?" - Michelle asks now with a very shy tone of voice.

Valoran faces her and responds.

"Yes. I am. I wish to read every single one of them to expand my knowledge further on magic and general knowledge" - Valoran said calmly with a little smile on his face.

"I see. Well for now we cannot allow you to read them. Only students of this academy are permitted to read those books." - Philip said.

"I understand. May I have a look around the library?" - Valoran asked.

"Hmm sure I guess that would be alright" - Philip answered.

Valoran walks around the library to get a better understanding of the books and genres the library has to offer on magic, knowledge and more.

"This library content of books is impressive" - Valoran thought to himself.

As time passes Valoran realises that he needs to return to the class hall since the applicants are almost done with the enrolment written exam.

Valoran makes his way to leave the library.

"I hope we meet again" - Philip said.

"... So do i... You to Michelle I hope I see you again" - replied Valoran.

"Th-Th-Thankyou have a nice day" - Michelle said while blushing a little.

Valoran leaves the library and makes his way over to the class hall.

He arrives outside the class hall. He sees that many other applicants have also finished early and are waiting for the rest to finish.

The other applicants are facing Valoran, as they hear him approaching.

"That's him" "He finished extremely quick" - The other applicants are whispering to each other.

Valoran ignoring the comments stands up against a wall facing the door to the class hall waiting for the others to finish.

10 minutes have passed.

The door then opens. Everybody has now finished the exam.

"Alright everybody thanks for waiting" - Professor Asparata said.

"We will now head to the practical exam. There your magic power will be measured as well as your duel with a professor" - Professor Asparata explained.

Valoran and the other 99 applicants follow Professor Asparata to a huge arena which can hold 300,000 people as it's famous for watching magic and sword fighting duels.

In this huge arena, all other applicants are asked to take a seat. Each group 1-10 will go up to take the practical exam. There are 10 duels at the same time taking place.

"Group 1 your first please come down and prepare for your magic to be measured" - A professor said into a magical broadcast system.

Group 1 heads down to take the practical exam.

The assistant director Amon Apolloyon walks in front of the Group 1 students and explains how the practical exam will be conducted.

"Alright listen up each at a time will be coming up to this magical crystal. This measures your magical power. The way this crystal works is by placing your hand on the crystal. The brighter the crystal shines the stronger your magical power. Your score will be displayed on this huge magic mirror to my left. "-The assistant director explained.

One by one each applicant from group 1 walks up to the crystal and measures the magical power.

As applicants from Group 1 received the scores

" 66,874 3,456, 88,900, 210,987"..... - The magic reveals the score to the applicants.

As Valoran watches the tests being performed he notices two particular people.....

"Aren't those..... The two I saved from Binarc earlier?"-Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran recognised that these 2 are indeed from earlier against the confrontation with Binarc.

They seem to be getting well together laughing and chatting together.

"Seems they are getting along" - Valoran thought to himself.

The boy then walks up to the crystal he places his hand on the crystal, and the crystal begins to shine significantly brighter compared to the average applicant. He eagerly awaits his score.....

"321,432"-The mirror said.

The boy then turns around and laughs with the girl as he is proud of his result.

"Not bad" - Valoran said to himself with a tiny smile.

Then the beautiful girl walks up to the crystal and places her hand on the crystal.

She places her hand on the crystal..... The shines even brighter than the boy before.

In fact, the crystal shines so bright that the applicants and Professors had to cover up their eyes to not get completely blinded.

"It's so bright" "W-W-Wow" "Just how powerful is she?" - The other applicants are saying stunned at her power.

"788,899"-The mirror said.

"Wow".... "That's amazing" ....." Impossible" - The other applicants are saying being shocked at the result.

Even Valoran was impressed at the result.

"Wow. Did not expect this result. She has a lot of potential" - Valoran thought to himself.

With that, the girl left the crystal and joined up with her group.

She walks up to the boy in high spirits and both of them are pleased with their results.

With that group, 1 was done with their magic measurements.

"Next up group 2! "-The assistant director said.

In group 2 none of them caught Valoran's attention the average score being 75,000.

That is until a redheaded girl walked up to the crystal.

Just like the girl before as she placed her hand on the crystal her magic power was so powerful that it blinded the other applicants.

"789,450"-The mirror said.

The applicants were in shock just like before.

With that Group 2 also finished their magic power measurements.

"Group 3 your up! " - The assistant director said.

Valoran and the rest of the applicants get up from their seats and start walking down towards the arena to measure their magic power.

One by one each applicant from group 3 goes to the crystal to measure their magic power.

"79,333" "61,452" "75,211"....-The magic mirror revealing the scores.

Now it is Valoran's turn he walks up to the magic crystal.

"I will suppress my magic power as close to 0 as possible that should be enough to make sure that the magic crystal won't be destroyed causing a huge explosion" - Valoran thought to himself.

Valoran then places his hand on the crystal.....

As soon as he placed his hand on the crystal. The crystal begins to shine brighter than a blue star.

The light emitted from the crystal was so bright and full of energy that the light began to heat up the surrounding area, similar to using a zoom lens to heat one spot.

"Why is this happening" - Valoran said calmy unphased by the situation.

"Get cover" - The assistant professor is instructing the applicants and professors.

The applicants and professors are running away and taking cover.

When they did the crystal shattered....
