《Journey to Another World.... because of my Neighbour》Chapter 9: Rewards

Around the time of sunset, we came out of the town. After explaining the situation and returning the Safe to Adventure's Guild I was allowed to go back. I had already asked to keep my identity, especially my skills a secret.
So there weren't many people who knew about me, but I was okay with it. After reaching my room as I lay down thinking about what happened today. Not only did I reach Level 13, and fought against a Lich but I also helped the town. It felt quite good. Due to all the fatigue, I fall asleep quite easily.
The next day I was summoned to the Mayor's house early in the morning. The Mayor lived in a large house in the high-class residential area. There weren't any nobles in this town, unlike Lough. Thus the biggest House was that of the Mayor. It wasn't as gaudy as it was large. Most of it was a large garden and once inside I found a large hall. The guard who came to get me, lead me to an office-type room. Inside the room was everyone from the party the last day except for Sanya from the C-Ranked party.
I was imagining the Mayor to be a short and fat man but my imagination was quite wrong. He looked to be in his 40s and was a tall and fit man. Had a perfect beard and a hard expression. The Mayor welcomed me and we all sat down. He started
"Yesterday we faced a great crisis and the reason for that was our dependence on Adventurer's Guild. As yesterday Adventurers were busy with monsters, guards weren't able to handle the bandit situation. I would like to thank you all for yesterday as you've saved the town in this great crisis."
After talking for a while about how they are going to develop so that this situation doesn't happen again and praising everyone. He started giving the rewards. The C-Ranked party was given 10 White Gold coins and I was given 5 White Gold coins. Gaurd Captain was given a raise in salary and Lady Guala was given 25 White Gold coins. He did not reward the Knight nor Flora. I could guess why, as both of them were in a higher position than the Mayor.
5 White Gold coins were 5000 Gold, obviously a lot more than I ever expected. In the last few days, I have further tried to conform to the value of money. But it was quite hard. But I could still say it was a lot of money. Enough for me to buy a large house in Tut or a small one in Lough.
After some more discussion the Mayor assuring me to keep my name a secret I was shown out. However, before that Flora asked me to come to the Adventurer's Guild in the afternoon.
At the Adventurer's Guild, I approached Flora, as usual, there was no one at her counter. I wonder if she gets bored just sitting there.

"Welcome to the Adventurer's Guild, so Ishant as you helped in yesterday's quest. While some stuff can not be disclosed but it's still enough for you to rank up."
She presented the Job stone to me and asked me to touch it. After I did she recited a spell. I usually saw other receptionists only read the spell of a paper, but Flora just did it as she probably has it memorized.
{Job(Adventure) rank upgraded: Adventure (Rank-G) acquired}
And I had also gotten Party Management skill. Now I could also form a party.
"Now then the next reason I had called you here, I would be going back home next week. To the fort city of Ranburg. It is close to the Empire and always needs Adventurers and Magicians. And I'm sure my father would also like to reward you for your heroic deeds." Today I wasn't feeling any cold attitude from her. It was an improvement.
I didn't plan to work today so after telling her I'll think about going there I started to walk towards the door. When someone shouted my name "Ishant, is there anyone called Ishant here?" There was a girl my age. She was a little short and looked quite cheerful. She looked here and there to find me, so I approached her and asked "I'm Ishant, how may I help you?"
"Can you show me any ID first?" She said looking annoyed. I did she look a little bit surprised but told me "I was sent here by Lady Guala to find you, can you please come with me to the Magic Guild?"
I didn't really feel any surprise at this, as of course, the Magic Guild would be interested in a Space Mage. I reached the Magic Guild, it was quite different from Adventure's Guild as the building didn't even have a reception. Just rooms and people walking around. Yesterday we had not gone inside so it was my first time here. Lady Guala was on the second floor. The whole second floor apparently was a library. I saw Lady Guala sitting there wearing reading glasses and reading a book carefully.
As she saw me she waved me over, she removed her glasses. I was feeling some Magic from the glasses through Magic Sense and thus decided to use Appraisal on it.
{Noharan Language Glasses:
Skills Attached: [Noharan to Ehia Translation]
Glasses used to Translate Ancient Noharan language}
Ehia was the language used around here and it was also the name of the continent. I thought these were just for low vision or something. Turned out these were for Translation. Obviously, I also used Appraisal on Lady Guala.
{Appraisal of the Individual was Blocked}
{The Influence of the Hidden Class was Blocked}
{Skill [Appraisal] has been Locked due to [Backfire] skill of the Individual being Appraised}
{The Lock of Appraisal was lifted due to the Influence of Hidden Class}
{Due to the Influence of [Schooler] the skill [Backfire] was acquired]
Okay so that was a lot of things, so even Demon King was not able to help me get through to her. I also checked the Backfire skill. Its description said that if someone used skills related to checking my status, this skill will be activated. If the person is not 10 levels mine they'll have that skill blocked for one hour.

However, there was also a note written. Due to the class Demon King, there's a chance that even people above that level will be affected as well.
It was an amazing skill. Well, I was sitting there waiting for Lady Guala to speak but she just kept looking at me. The girl who had come to fetch me came back with a tray with two cups of tea.
"No matter how I see it, you're certainly not a normal person. The mana inside you is also quite abnormal. It's quite exciting. However, don't worry about this old lady. I just called you here to join the Magic Guild. You see as a Guild Master I can't let go of such a talented individual."
"What would I have to do with Magic Guild?" I was of course interested in it. I had read that you can learn a lot of spells in Magic Guild, while of course Magic used through skill was best as it did not need a long time like a spell. Sometimes spells were great as well.
"Oh dear don't worry about that, all you need to do is help in research sometimes or help Blacksmith with Magic items. You'll get Guild points for it which you can use to get all kinds of things from the guild. We've spells to magic items and of course, we also have research material left by other members which can help you realise new magic skills and help you develop your own spells as well."
So it was like that, it seemed quite a good one. I would love to get more Magic skills and I was also interested in magic Items. So my answer was "Yes, then I would like to join the guild"
"Dear Tulip, go get the Job stone for me, would you?"
So the girl was called Tulip, as we were waiting for Tulip to come back Lady Guala told me more about Magic Guild.
"Here the Ranks are similar to the Adventurer's Guild they start at H-Rank and the highest Rank is SS-Rank. Of course, the Makkara kingdom doesn't have an SS-Ranked Job stone so one can not reach that rank here. Also, your starting Rank also depends on your Magic Class such as a Magician starting at H-Rank, a Mage at F-Rank, or a Mage that specialises in Rare Elements such as yourself starting at E-Rank. Of course, after that, a Master Magician starts at D-Rank and a Great Mage at B-Rank as for a Sage if a sage is out there who has no connection to the Guild I'd be surprised but yes a Sage would start at S-Rank"
At this point, Tulip came back with the Job stone. Lady Guala used it on me and I received the notification.
{Job Acquired: Magician}
{Activating Job: Magician}
{Job Details :
Rank: E
Enchanted Items : 0
Mission Completed: 0
Researched Elements : (none)
Apprentice: (none)
Guild Points: 0}
So I can take Apprentice now? What is that about? But first I checked my Job Skills.
{Job Skills:
Magician (Rank-E) : [Enchantment (Tier IV)] [Magic Item Information (Level 2)] [Spell Analysis (Tier II)] [Rune Analysis (Tier II)] [Magic Circle Analysis] [Apprentice Training]}
Enchantment allowed me to use magic on items however with it a blacksmith is needed to use his skills. It's a little complicated process. Magic Item Information is just another form of Appraisal but only for Magic Items and it also includes more details about what kind of magic is used and all. Spell, Rune, and Magic circles can also be analyzed with respectively Spell Analysis, Rune Analysis, and Magic Circle Analysis as for the Apprentice Training it will allow me to help someone without a Magic type class get a magic type class as well as teach them Skills that I've made using Magic spells as a base among other things.
This was quite amazing. As for missions and points, there were a lot of ways to earn points and a lot of missions you can get through the guild. I picked a mission to Translate books from ancient languages. With my Language Comprehension skill, I didn't need to use old notes and decipher the meaning. After all, not all languages had Glasses for them even if they did only a few people owned glasses such as our Guild Master Lady Guala. So the mission gave a lot of points. 10 points per page. Of course, I or anyone couldn't cheat and just write anything as the mission was given not by someone but by the system itself. So it was just a breeze in the park to get points. But of course, I was also reading and trying to understand the material as well.
It was definitely interesting. From making complex spells using more than one element to using one element and trying to do a lot of things with it. You see when you combined elements the mana cost increases is exponential. So more the element it's a lot more the mana. That's why there were all kinds of spells.
There were a lot of weird spells as well. Such as a spell to make all water bodies around you into Lava. Its mana cost was so high that I wondered why someone even made it. A spell that makes it rain on a single person. A spell to always be able to see your reflection. A spell for Job stones to give a Job without Rank.
The last one I had to report to Lady Guala as well since it could be used in negative ways against Guilds. In total, I earned about 6200 Points in the last 3 days.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? Flesh Forger
Born a bit too late to explore the world, yet far too early to explore space, Graham Lattem is your average 61 year old man - if a little wanderlust filled. A horrible, ear numbing crashing sound. An earthquake. A hole opens in the middle of his home, and our protagonist falls in as a swirling vortex consumes him. Well, and more glowing words: [Welcome To The Macrocosm] [Good Luck] Far away from his family in a world hell-bent on his demise, how will this old, arthritis ridden man survive? Did I mention he has cancer? ===================================================================== Aiming for at least 1 chapter every other day, though there is a very big chance it will more oftentimes than not be more than that! This is my first ever story. One that I’ve been wanting to write for awhile. The system is most definitely inspired by Randidly Ghosthound and The New World, but I promise the story is different! Please point out any mistakes, as I’d love to improve! Also the warnings are just to let me experiment.

Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.
