《Colonial History》Betrayal

The Cetaceans watched the outpost and kept the surrendered enemy garrison in their living quarters, until the Minare home world could somehow be reached for an exchange. Many human fighters left Antarctica, but the remaining tried scavenging the battlefield for anything not yet collected by the Apiary. One – who was exceptionally gifted with technology – found one of the A.I. drones taken down during the war and reprogramed it. Unfortunately, he was part of a small coalition of some widely disliked groups with their own hidden agendas. They wanted answers like every other human after the war, but no human knew where the Apiary’s teleportation outpost was on Tir-Torzor. Using their new A.I. unit, this coalition was able to commandeer a dropship and utilize its homing program to take themselves to the outpost.

By the time they arrived at the teleportation outpost, the dropship hanger was temporarily serving as a banquet hall for members of the Apiary celebrating their victory over the Minare. The anuh-kaj attending the event were Emissary Ut, Emissary It, and Colonial Overseer Va. All 66 of the Cetacean fighters attending the event included Keto Songsinger Blue Waters, Baruna Sharkiller Brown Waters, and Masu and Lymat Toolender Glow Waters.

What you are about to read is a partial video transcript of archival footage from the Memory Trace Libraries, recorded by an A.I. unit present at the celebration that day:

Keto Songsinger Blue Waters finishes singing her pod’s traditional folk song, and all attending anuh-kaj and cetaceans applaud her performance. Colonial Overseer Va holds up feeding bowl and hisses loudly to gain the room’s attention.

Va: I would like to propose honorable well-wishes, to the Apiary’s newest loyal subjects.

Anuh-Kaj and Cetaceans raise their feed bowls to Va.

Va: Victory would have never been without your allegiance and prowess. May your people’s service bear a fruitful future. Honor to the Cetaceans, honor to the Apiary!

All Anuh-Kaj and Cetaceans: To the Apiary!

Hanger door alarms sound.

Central A.I.: Dropship incoming.

Hanger doors open.

Va: Central, what is going on? No dropships are scheduled for return until after the celebration!

Central A.I.: The incoming dropship’s operating system has been overridden by a foreign program.

Dropship enters the hanger. Cetaceans and A.I. units move out of the way as the dropship lands and crushes some tables. The dropship loading ramp opens and members of White Blood Eagles, Proudest Pricks, and Tsuyuko Naritai, run out yelling with human melee weapons and ranged Baggsab weapons. Cetaceans ready their laser pulse arm blasters and aim at the humans, while the yelling humans aim their weapons at everyone in attendance. Va moves in front of the celebration’s crowd.

Va: I am Colonial Overseer Va of the Apiary’s colony on Tir-Torzor.

Main Speaking Human: You the guv’nor?

Va: If meaning to ask if I am in charge, then your assessment is accurate.

Main Speaking Human: You’re the piece of shite we have a bone to pick with. We want answers!

Baruna: If you know what’s good for you, drop your weapons, apologize, and see yourselves out. You might be shown mercy for your misbehavior today.

Main Speaking Human: No one’s talking to you, fish!

Masu: Sounds like someone needs to teach you vermin some manners!

Cetaceans and humans exchange shouts of insults and arguments. Va lets out an ear-piercing shriek that silences both sides.

Va: Cetaceans, lower your weapons.

Baruna: But Overseer Va, –

Va: I invoke Order 68525, spare the intruders’ lives! Please, lower your weapons. Let me talk to the intruders.

Cetaceans lower their laser pulse arm blasters. Va approaches the humans.

Main Speaking Human: You look like something my auntie would’ve sprayed for in her garden. That’s close enough!

Va stops moving. Main speaking human turns head towards dropship.

Main Speaking Human: Dump it out!

Main speaking human turns back to look at Va, as another human comes out pushing a crudely built wheelbarrow carrying a heavily damaged, somewhat operational, A.I. unit, and dumps it onto the floor.

Corrupted A.I. Unit: E-e-error: D-d-d-damage det-t-tected. Please run diagnost-t-t-tics.

Wheelbarrow operator kicks corrupted unit.

Wheelbarrow Operator: Shut the fuck up!

Main Speaking Human: Cheers for letting us borrow a drone to get here. Now, we want to know some things, and don’t you give us a bloody load of cack.

Va: I affirm that there will be no lies. Such mechanisms are vestigial, for my species’ ability to share mentally stored information by telepathic means have reduced lying to rare aberrant defects, scattered throughout many millennia.

Main Speaking Human: Good. Tell me then, why did you give us all wonky weapons? Why did you send wave after wave of us to be gutted, only to have those blooming fish come flying in and make short work, huh?

Va: The Cetaceans, the “fish” as inaccurately referred to as, needed to practice with the suits until comfortable enough. The softening of targets and drawing of attention were instrumental for the cetaceans to take turns in being sent out into battle, to test out everything learned.

Main Speaking Human: You goddamn mother fucker! That’s not cricket! That’s not cricket at all! I lost many pure blood brothers because of you!

Va: This strategic decision was made easier to choose, due to the secretive plans many humans such as yourself made to betray the Apiary, not to mention your own species.

Main Speaking Human: What are you saying?

Va: The negotiating A.I. unit learned of your plans.

Main Speaking Human forcefully laughs.

Main Speaking Human: I haven’t got the faintest clue of what you’re nattering on about. You think I wouldn’t remember anything I did? Needed the laugh, mate.

Va: I affirmed that there would be no lies on my end, yet there are claims that I am not giving what was requested. I am telling the truth when I say that I know.

Some humans swat around their personal space.

Main Speaking Human: Okay, so where’s the evidence? Show me your evidence or bugger off!

Va: Is your request positive? Accepting of facts on your end appears to be unwilling.

Main Speaking Human: Yes, I’m sure! I accept facts, but I know you have none because you’ve lost the bloody plot!

Va: Central, show archival record of Agreement Proposal 24,494-2.

Central A.I.: Showing archival record of Agreement Proposal 24,494-2.

Hologram shows main speaking human talking to his group, the White Blood Eagles.

Random Member [Hologram]: You believe they can really give us a genome bomb?

Main Speaking Human [Hologram]: I know they can! Have you seen that android? If they can make something that badass and high-tech, they know one’s onions. Imagine what we can do with a genome bomb. We can instantly wipe out anyone, from the darkest of jigaboos, to the lightest of quadroons! Heathen pakis, Marxist globalist jews, and families of race traitors won’t even be safe! We’ll have a bash at the aliens themselves someday and take the rest of their technology for ourselves!

Hologram group cheers.

Main Speaking Human [Hologram]: We’ll be able to create a white intergalactic empire! No one, nothing, will be able to stand in our way!

Va: Central, stop showing archival record.

Hologram stops showing record. 2nd speaking human turns to main speaking human.

2nd Speaking Human: You, you told me and my men the deal your group made was to create a white ethnostate!

Main speaking human turns to look at 2nd speaking human.

Main Speaking Human: They took me out of context! We were taking the piss! Being sarky! Just cocked up the joke is all! They lied!

Va: It never ceases to amaze me the lengths humans would go to be so willfully ignorant.

Main speaking human turns to point his weapon at Va.

Main Speaking Human: Shut your gob! That hologram looked all dodgy, manipulated with CGI or something!

Va: No manipulation with the record. It was how it happened.

Main Speaking Human: Your robot said we had priority!

Some humans swat around their personal space.

Va: That is accurate. Your deal had priority. All A.I. units were instructed to make any agreements a priority, which are all then added to an algorithmic formula that evaluates each. All are listed from highest to lowest priority, in relation to conflict between competing demands, earliest possible fulfillment of demands, and most flexible demands presented. All of yours were at the very bottom. The most we would have done once it was time to fulfill your demands, was give the recipe for the bomb, which would be your responsibility to translate…and understand its formulas…and acquire the proper rare materials and scientific instruments…and be the very first to test it, since our people never even attempted to construct one once we discovered how.

3rd speaking human turns to main speaking human.

3rd Speaking Human: Ha! That’s what you get for holding out on us!

2nd speaking human turns to 3rd speaking human.

2nd Speaking Human: No one needs you incel, shitlord, weeaboo trash spreading across the universe!

3rd speaking human turns to 2nd speaking human.

3rd Speaking Human: The Tsuyuko Naritai are not trash!

Va: It does not matter now, for the fact your planned treachery against the Apiary was discovered shortly after the agreement was made. The terms and conditions of the agreement were violated by plotting against subjects of the Apiary, in turn rendering the deals of the conspirators null and void.

Main Speaking Human: But we fought for you!

Va: There was a high probability none of your group would have survived the war long enough to find out, so we wanted usage before likely predicted expiration.

Main Speaking Human: I’ve had enough of you, you chameleon-eyed prick! Say goodbye to your oversized noggin!

Main speaking human aims his weapon at Va.

Va: You cannot.

Main Speaking Human: Like hell I can’t!

Main speaking human struggles to pull trigger.

Va: There has been a misunderstanding on your part. You cannot because your ability has been taken away. The order I gave earlier was not directed to the cetaceans. That order was given to Central to release small A.I. units, no bigger than this world’s mosquitos, which painlessly inject a synthetic venom that renders the area selected in a temporary petrified paralysis. In this instance, those areas in question are the hands and wrists needed to operate weapons.

All the humans struggle to fire or throw their weapons.

Main Speaking Human: Mother fucking cunt. You mother fucker!

Va: I could never understand that phrase no matter how many times I hear it. We reproduce asexually. We do not do this “fuck” as it is call, so it does not make sense to apply your insult to my kind.

2nd Speaking Human: You’re dead!

2nd speaking human charges Va for an attack. A mechanical arm deploys from Va’s multipurpose utility back harness and snatches the weapon out of his hands, breaking his fingers. A small swivel laser deploys and shoots 2nd speaking human in the neck, causing him to grasp at his throat and fall to the floor. Va looks down at him.

Va: Painful, but life will be stable long enough to experience punishment.

Va looks back up at the panicking humans.

Va: In violation of the Apiary’s Colonial Law Code 651, I hereby sentence all conspirators present to be liquified, and all your individual histories be erased wherever they are found. The only thing anyone will learn, are your groups and their fatally flawed ideologies, which fueled your self-destructive hubris.

Va turns to the cetaceans.

Va: Cetaceans, disarm and take the convicted to the liquidation chamber.

Va turns back to watch the humans, who are now protesting and trying to avoid capture, while cetaceans chase down and apprehend them. Those who are caught by the cetaceans, wail in pain when they have their fingers broken to loosen their grip on their weapons. Masu and Lymat are dragging 2nd speaking human.

Masu: You know what?

Lymat: What?

Masu: “Vermin” sounds like it should be “vermen”.

Masu and Lymat laugh.

Lymat: That would be a fitting label for them, wouldn’t it?

Masu: Yeah!

Masu and Lymat laugh.
