《The Scavenger of the Astral Plane》Chapter 3

[1 hour: 3 minutes: 45 seconds]
“I can’t believe it’s going to three months already since I was transported into the Astral Plane.” Murmured Bane while looking at the system’s timer in front of him.
Indeed, it’s already been three months since he was sucked into the astral for the tutorial.
Even his appearance has changed now. He no longer looked like a baby that was just born but more like a three-month-old baby.
He had blue eyes and was a little chubby. His hair was dark as ink. Though he was still a baby, one could already tell that he would become a lady killer when he grew up.
Aside from that, during his three months roaming in the astral plane, not only Bane was able to familiarize himself with it to some extent, but he also learned a great deal about it.
First of all, the Astral Plane wasn’t specifically a plane per se, but rather a nonspatial nonplane as it had no space, and planes were specifically spaces.
It was more like a realm of thought and dream. It’s about perception and not actual reality. As such, it didn't function like the real world or the physical world.
It was devoid of gravity. Movement within the astral plane wasn't determined by strength or physical prowess but by thought.
It wasn’t just figurative speech, movement on the astral plane was truly done by thinking, crazy right! Even the most complicated maneuvers were done by just a thought.
If he wanted to go somewhere, he just had to think and focus on the destination and his mind would propel his entire body in that direction.
If he wasn’t thinking about moving, then he won’t move. It was also the same for sleeping.
Furthermore, the speed and distance he could travel within the astral plane also depended on the level of his intelligence and mental power.
It was like the role of his physical strength and dexterity were replaced by intelligence and wisdom in the astral plane.
Another thing he discovered was that even though the Astral Plane had no gravity and everything within it was weightless, the objects found within it still retained their mass.
As such, one could throw a small item floating in the void or even push off from large objects to gain momentum to move forward.

However, that object must have a larger mass than one’s body to gain momentum off it otherwise it would have the opposite effect.
This was something he had learned from his experiment as he was trying to familiarize himself with the astral plane.
A month ago, he found a large object that resembled a giant rock floating in the silver void and tried to push himself off it to gain momentum to move or propel himself forward.
However, instead of him flying away, it was the large object that ended up being pushed away while he stayed in the same location.
Aside from that, it seemed like notions such as hunger and thirst didn’t exist in the astral plane.
He’s been roaming the astral plane for almost three months now and had eaten not even a grain of rice or drunk even a drop of water. Yet, he still didn’t feel any hunger or thirst.
“It sure was a nice adventure.” Bane said with a slight smile on his face as he was thinking about all the things he had experienced while roaming the silvery void.
Though the system had warned him about how dangerous the Astral Plane was, so far he hadn’t encountered anything that put his life at risk.
At this moment, Bane’s chubby baby body was flying and cruising aimlessly across the floating rubble and masses within the astral plane with no real destination in mind. Utter silence assaulted him from all sides as he was flying in this realm of nothingness.
Though he’s only been in the Astral Plane for like three months, he has already fallen deeply in love with this plane of thought.
He had never felt this free and alive before. The more time he spent within the astral plane, the more addicted he became to it.
At the same time, he felt this new and strange sensation begin to manifest within him—the feeling of unlimited power.
His thought can become reality within this nebulous void. His mind teller as he was trying to grasp the limitless possibilities of that mind-shattering truth.
“If only I could bring that power to the real world.” He muttered under his breath with an evil grin on his face. With this kinda power, he could even undo creation itself.

“Ugh, I truly wish a could stay in this place a little longer.” Said Bane as he let out an audible sigh of regret as he was looking at the timer in front of him.
He already knew what was waiting for him when he left this place and it wasn’t something he was looking forward to.
Meanwhile, as Bane was flying within the silvery and misty cloud of the astral plane, he suddenly spot a small bobbing sphere of pure bright blue light in the distance.
[Astral Wisp—-Lvl 2]
“A level 2 astral wisp.” Looking at the small blue sphere in distance, Bane couldn’t help but be excited. At the same time, he used all his mental power and dashed towards it like a hungry wolf.
As if noticed to chubby baby flying towards him, the small wisp didn’t waste any time as he ran for his life. Well, it was more like floating at high speeds.
“Do you think you can escape from me?” Said Bane with a sinister look on his face before his speed suddenly increased drastically and became as impossibly quick as a hummingbird’s wings.
Bane looked experienced as he was chasing after the astral wisp. It was as if it wasn’t his first time hunting them.
“Got you.” He said excitedly as he grabbed the small wisp with his small chubby hand. The astral wisp struggled to break free from Bane’s grasp, but to no avail.
“Let’s see what kinda skills I’ll gain this time.” He said before he opened his toothless mouth and shove the small wisp within it before swallowing it whole.
[Ding! Host has devoured a Level 2 Wisp]
[Your experience points have reached the max]
You have leveled up.
Your mental energy has gone up by 2.
Your intelligence has gone up by 1.
Your Wisdom has gone up by 1.
You have earned 3 Astral Points.
You have gained 1 unallocated stats point.
Magic Purge level 1 has been absorbed.
Ice Shard level 1 has been absorbed.
Finger of Death level 1 has been absorbed.
“Haha, I finally reached level 10.” Blurted out Bane after hearing the notification of the system.
“Not only that but I even also gained three magic spells instead of one from that level 2 astral wisp.” He added with an exciting expression on his face as he looked at the new magic spells in his skill windows.
Astral wisps were the remnants of mental energy or the soul of powerful beings that have died in their material worlds while exploring the astral plane through astral projections.
No matter how powerful one was, once they died in the material world, their astral body would die as well but not immediately. Instead, it will slowly be wrested away by the astral plane until it became part of it.
These astral wisps contained some of the memories of the owner and sometimes among these memories were powerful magical spells and earth-shattering secrets.
Most of them were extremely weak. And for someone like Bane, they were the best way to faster increase his power within the astral plane as well as acquire their memories.
[Name: Bane Asteroth]
[Age: One Day(3 months)]
[Species: Human]
[Occupation: Mage]
[Uniqueness: Scavenger of the Astral Plane]
[Level: 10(0/5000]
Intelligence: 37
Wisdom: 32
Mental power: 39
Magic Power: 0/20
Astral points: 30
Unallocated stat point: 10
“Not Bad,” Bane whispered to himself with a satisfied expression on his face.
“I guess my physical stats are still the same.” He added as he scrolled down to his physical stats.
Strength: O.1
Dexterity: 0.1
Stamina: 0.1
Vitality : 5
Skills: Universal tongue(Unique), Appraisal (inferior)
Magic spells: Fireball Lvl 1, Lightning Bolt Lvl1, Acid Arrow Lvl1, Chain Lightning Lvl1, Mana Absorption Lvl1, Ultimate Void Lvl1, Magic purge Lvl1, Ice Shard Lvl1, Finger of Death Lvl1.
Looking at his physical stats, Bane didn’t look the least bit surprised. The system had already informed him that his physical stats won’t increase no matter how many times he leveled up.
“This Astral Wisps sure had some good skills. Too bad I couldn't get their complete memories.” He added.
[0 hours: 25 minutes: 04 seconds]
“Now that there are only a few minutes left before going back to the real world, should I stay here and wait or continue to look for more astral wisps.”
Well, the answer was simple, continue to hunt more astral wisps. He didn't even know when is the next time he would able to enter the astral plane again. As such, he decided to take advantage of every second.

Those Zombies Again
One day Sam wakes up in a world full of zombies and tries to survive.PSFirst of all i would not recommend this novel if you haven't read like hundred of novels already. Its pretty weird and depressing novel. This story is told almost completely from MC point of view. Third person.MC is a pretty ugly random guy with different psychological problems. He is antisocial and limited person.Lore - Since MC is limited and barely interested in people or just surroundings, you will get pretty limited descriptions on stuff, it was meant to be like that.Characters - Obviously for the same reason, you will not see much characters, usually you wont get their description or even names.Fights - I personally hate those fights in novels which take like few chapters to describe some shitty encounters. For example MC is making his "move" and then you get half chapter of description of his thoughts and the ways his face is looking, and the way like his opponent surprised and the way crowd is reacting and so on. I really hate all that shit so fights in this novel will be described not that often, only if an equal or a new opponent, and only in a strict and straightforward way, no bullshit. Now this novel is not exactly fantasy, its more like grim realistic-fantasy.But i will have to explain what i mean. Lets take rape in most novels as an example. Usually MC will be justified to rape a girl one way or another. Common example is aphrodisiac. Or the girl were trying to kill him so he had to "punish" her. Or she just happened to jump on his thing and then after rape she become his girlfriend etc, Those are examples of "fan service" in novel. So MC would be justified and readers woun't feel too uncomfortable to read something like that.So there is no "fan service" in this novel, like at all. You will have to read some stuff that will make you feel uncomfortable and you woun't like it.Common sense also means that there is barely gonna be any "random" events which MC is gonna be part of. No treasures and superpowers he founds because he is "special". He will not meet antagonists on his way. This novels world will not spin around MC in any way. He will usually sit in his deep cave and no one around will give a damn about him or even know of his existence. So this novel is not for you to have fun and enjoy reading. Not to make you feel comfortable, satisfied or happy. Its probably the opposite. There are some standards which novel usually sticks to in order to become popular. Obviously i did not meet those standards at all.
