Omake 45: Dio meets the Jojos (Jotaro)
“Good grief, that sounds like a load of horse shit.”
The response was expected by me, but not as much by Joseph and Jonathan. Truth be told, it was mostly the foulness rather than the meaning that had them instantly frustrated at this broody descendant of theirs.
“T-That’s extremely crass,” Jonathan rebuked with a frustrated tone, while his grandson was a bit more understanding and… not.
“Sure, that sounds like a big lie and all of that, but man, why did you have to be so potty-mouthed about it? What, didn’t your mother tell ya that’s not nice to do?”
“That bitch is your daughter,” The Stand User shot back flatly, and that was more than enough to gain a reaction from the calmer Joseph.
“OHI! What do you mean ‘bitch’! You treat your mother with respect, you little turd.”
“Joseph-” Jonathan tried to bring them both back to diplomatic terms, but I stopped him.
“No. Let them headbutt.”
Jojo frowned. “Why?”
“Beyond the fact that they would just turn that anger into words they don’t mean to? They will not start anything stupid right now.”
…
“Fine.”
And so it was, despite the few insults they shared, neither Joseph or Jotaro decided to go the extra step. No, I could tell that Jotaro’s gaze was aimed elsewhere, his aggression turned to the ‘right target’, which wasn’t Joseph. He spared me a serious look and then sighed as soon as he was done with his ‘young’ grandfather.
“What about you? What are you going to say, Dio?”
“I would say… that I understand your struggle more than I would with either Joseph or Jonathan.”
The response got a few frown from the aforementioned young men, but I wasn’t done just yet.
“Saving your mother and stopping a monster from having an easy life through it. That’s why you went to kill my counterpart. He was trouble, a monster.”

“And how should I know you’re not like him too?” He remarked quietly, annoyed by the subject, but intrigued nonetheless by my response.
“How about I prove you rather than telling you something you’re not planning to accept with ease? Show me your Stand.”
Surprise flashed in the Japanese teen’s eyes, with Jonathan jumping in at this escalation.
“I-I thought we were preventing fights.”
“Nah, it’s not a fight,” Joseph piped in jovially, patting his grandfather’s upper back. “It’s just rough-housing.”
“...You’re saying that because you want to see Jotaro hurt, don’t you?”
“Me, nah, gramps. I’m not that kind of jerk. But I wouldn’t mind it, yes,” He admitted at the end, but then sighed and looked back at the two of us. “No, they aren’t really fighting. It’s a spar or… a game. Did you see how Dio is acting? I bet that he got something in his sleeves, the clever hound.”
“Still-”
“You’re going to say ‘This is just too childish, we should be better than this’.”
“This is just too childish, we should be… wait, what?”
Joseph’s jaws dropped. “Oh my God! This is the first time it did that. You know, get someone to stop mid-way.”
I ignored the ensuing bickering between the two, merely focusing on the issue at hand. I saw 「Star Platinum」 appear beside Jotaro, the two ready for a serious brawl… while I felt less interested in a prolonged battle and more into dealing a lesson to this disrespectful youth.
“Come forth, Jojo. Show me how your determination and care for your mother really allowed you through the challenges of your trip through Egypt.”
He rushed forward, his Stand preparing some strikes I could actually telegraph. I had years of experience with my Stand and mine was also superior in Stats to his. So, I decided to show him how unprepared he was from the very first step he took. His left fist came first, trying to hit 「The World」’s head and create a confusion. Except… something happened. And his Stand stopped mid-assault. 「Star Platinum」 appeared confused at the results he got from that punch. I could tell that the Stand had ‘hit’ something, but that the surface hadn’t received the kinetic strength his punch was delivering. In fact, the humanoid knew that this situation wasn’t easy.

“Again,” I muttered, noticing Jotaro’s angry look as his Stand moved to hit again, and this time the phenomenon unfolded once more… this time providing a push back to Jotaro as 「The World」 slammed its right fist on「Star Platinum」’s left cheek. The hit was enough to force the young man to back away and trip, falling to the ground butt-first as he held his bruised cheek.
“W-What?” His question meant many things. First among them being: How did I stop his Stand? That was actually tied to 「The World」’s superior Stats. It was faster, more experienced and with greater endurance. These three factors were the starting elements for this process, showing Jojo how one of his attacks couldn’t land as it should despite it ‘landing’ onto 「The World」’s frame. No, what happened was that 「The World」 moved fast enough and without Jotaro noticing as the fist was about to it. As 「Star Platinum」 thought its fist had connected, his momentum broke and didn’t carry over onto 「The World」 as it moved a fraction away from that fist’s physical impact. Also, there was a bigger question that had to be answered, so I focused on that one.
“I understand you are confused, Jotaro. Confused and angry. This is a place that holds faces you know and you don’t. Bad ones for the former, and good ones for the later by proxy to your bloodline,” I pointed out calmly. “But right now I can assure you that this is none of the machinations the vampiric bastard was behind.”
He stared at my offering hand with distrust, but that melted away as he could tell one thing that the other two Joestars hadn’t picked up through that brief scuffle.
“You could kill us if you wanted,” Jotaro affirmed, staring at me with frustration. “You could have just got us dead if you wanted. What is your game?”
“Understand what is going on, find the cause of this, deal with it and get back home.”
…
“Good grief, that sounds like the most reasonable thing I heard in recent times.”
“Hmm, don’t play the smartass with me, Jotaro,” I hummed as I pulled him up, still holding his palm as Hamon coursed through him and healed his wound much to his surprise. “I was a real delinquent when I was younger than you, so don’t try to play the tough man game since I know you are a big softie deep down.”
His eyes narrowed back at me, and his hold over my hand tightened out of spite. I didn’t mind as I could tell he was done for now.
And we definitely had to get our mind cleared as the fun was back again and it dropped a certain unconscious young man from Morioh Town right onto the table. Poor Josuke’s pompadour looked to have seen better days- actually, I didn’t even know the guy would keep that thing on even when he went to sleep. I guess maintenance is troublesome for someone his age and temperament.
“Okay, who is this guy now? Jotaro’s son or grandson?” Joseph asked, and I was tempted to drop the bomb right there but… I decided to be lenient.
“Nope. His uncle.”
