"....I'm up. I'm up.... Up where? God, how long have I been sleeping? Arg, my head! Damn it is this what hangover feels like? It's killing me!"
I opened my eyes, then hissing in pain from the dirt getting into it.
"Am I buried?! "
I slowly dug myself up, my whole body aching like crazy as if I did an intensive workout.
When I reached the surface, I breathed in the fresh air then with my remaining strengths I hissed myself in a sitting position.
"Still here, aye?"
I was still in this grey wasteland with these ghosts popping in and out from existence around me.
"What happened? I remember fighting that brat, then I took a breather and... I can't remember. Status!

"Uggggh, this is too much information for someone who just woke up. Let's just, find my chair and relax a bit."
I stud up and looked around searching for my throne, realizing something crucial.
I-I was hairy.
My whole body was covered in black fur, that seemed to absorb light. My arms and legs became elongated and thin with each finger ending in chitin-like claws. On my chest was a white mark resembling a slightly bent cross. On my neck and wrists were three handcuffs like bracelets made from gold and they were emitting a pleasant heat.
While moving around I also noticed that my old tail was back, the one ending with a furball.
"This is not cool. Not cool at all!! Body Ph- I mean God's Body!"
It was- different. There were no waves, my body just...became air then reassembled itself. In a split second, I was back rocking my black suit. Getting a little sick of the mask, I made a little modification to it. Feeling that the deer skull kinda became my default mode I decided to go differently with my 'human form'. I got rid of its upper part, then I shortened the jaws till they reached my mouth, Then I rearranged the teeth, making them similar to that of a human.
Then for some extra edge, I made a black trenchcoat that had on its back a drawing of the deer antlers with the crooked cross I had in my monster form. As for the decorations, I compressed them into a small pearl that I hang around my neck. The handcuffs on the other hand stayed, I couldn't get rid of them no matter how hard I tried to get rid of them.
"Oh, well they can stay. Now if I could find my. ...Found it."
In the distance, I could see the silhouette of my great throne, seemingly unharmed by the fight.
I walked there and sat in it, a long sigh escaping my mouth.
"3 months... I was in a coma for 3 months... I wonder how that princess doing. I should check on her. Mind coun- I mean world."
I closed my essay letting the familiar feeling carry me to my happy place.
"W-What happened here?!"
Everything was destroyed as if a natural disaster struck.
"My beautiful world! At least tell me that the church is-Shit!"
It was also destroyed, leaving no trace of the building.
Ah, screw this! I will reconstruct this later but for now, let's see what is that girl up to these days.
I snapped my fingers making several mirrors appear before me.
"...Oh my. It seems like she really doing well! I should visit her soon or at least give her something to remember me."
*****
Yi Bei POV:
"Please miss, forgive us! We couldn't bring it here!
Bamm!
The woman wearing a black coat over his sect uniform kicked the kneeling man in the jaw, breaking two of his teeth.
"You are all useless! Don't dare even looking even at me, before you have it!"

With a bleeding mouth, the man nodded and backed away to the door, leaving me alone.
"Damn it, those three are really hitting on my nerves."
2 months ago, a group of people started to make a ruckus between the outer disciples. They challenged anyone that moved, beat them up then moved to someone else.
This wouldn't have bothered me if not for the thing I learned recently. One of the troublemakers, the boy with silver hair, possessed a powerful spirit amulet capable of absorbing qi in the air and redistributing it into his body, making his cultivation grow tremendously fast.
If I could get my hands on that amulet, I could increase my cultivation and increase the power of the demon in me.
[Alert!]
"Hmmm, who's there?!"
I looked around my knife in hand ready to kill whoever said that.
[Connection re-established.]

"AAAAAAAAAA!Anan electric pain cursed over through my body, making me feel like I was being cooked alive. Through my mouth and eyes, blood started to spile out, dirtying my clothe.

I could feel a newfound strength enveloping me, changing every fiber of my body into something greater, something better.
'Now, you are truly one of my subordinates. Use this strength to crush your enemies-OUR enemies! Show them the power that I gave you!'
I can hear him! I can feel him!
"As you wish, my lord!"
*****
Now that this is done, it's time to test out my weaponry.
I jumped out from my seat and snapped my fingers. In my hands, my cane and my rifle appeared. They became more powerful brimming with dark blue energy. Also, the musket seemed to be more material and was decorated with golden leaf patterns all over its body.
"Let's get this party started."
*****
Boom!
"Run!"
"He is going wild again!"
"Damn it, why can't these guys calm down for a second!
"This is the 10th of this week! And it's only Tuesday!"
Boom!
A nearby hut exploded into pieces and from the wreckage, several peoples emerged.
One group wore the sects blue and white uniform with its golden belt. The other one dressed in all black and wore animal skulls as masks.
"Give us the pendant, Lian Hyo!"
The youth with white hair and black eyes threw a bird at his assailants.
"Then come and take it from me!"
The masked party roared in rage and attacked them.
Lian Hyo and his comrades continued fighting.
Each party used qi, causing more and more destruction in their way. This would usually cause one of the elders to appear and stop the fight, butthis district had an unspoken rule. The one who loses pays, and fixes.
It seemed like Lian Hyo's party would win, they even managed to punch some of their enemies unconscious.
"This is enough."
On top of one of the hills of wreckage another black-clothed figure appeared. It had a feminine contour and wore a skull of an elk on its head.
"You fought well, buts it's time for you to give us what we want."
"Who are you, people? Are you so afraid that you are hiding your own face?"
"My identity is not important. I will repeat myself for the last time. Hand over the amulet."
Lian Hyo touched his chest where his pendant probably was.
"No."
Followed by his answer a massive amount of qi, escaped his body, painting his close surroundings in a light green hue.
The woman let out a long sigh, the clapped her hands together.
"Then die. My followers, wake up and crush your enemies!"
At her command, her comrades started to emit a sinister amount of qi. Those who were on the ground stood up as zombies, their broken limbs, snapping into place.
"W-What is happening?"
Lian Hyo looked worried, confused even.
"This is only the difference between our abilities. Crush them!"
Before the two fronts could collide together Lian Hyo, used his energy to propuls himself into the air towards the masked leader.
"You are coming for me? Well then, let me welcome you with open arms. Spirit Weapon: Qiang."
In her open hands, a two-meter-long spear made from dark purple energy appeared.
With a swift movement, she blocked the incoming attacks and the two parties started to dance around between each other.
Lian Hyo was originally a sword user and without his weapon, he was at a clear disadvantage against an opponent who was indeed armed.
"You're dead! Spear technique: Double Thrust!"
"[Iron Fist]!"
The two techniques collided creating a shockwave, but spear beat fist. The energy weapon broke the qi surrounding Lian Hyo's fist, piercing it and with a twist, his arm was torn into two.
He screamed while blood started to pour out from the wound, the pain was so great it made him fall on his knees.
"With this, it's over. Spear Technique: Pierce."
The weapon in her hand seemed to double in volume in her hand and using it as a harpoon she threw it at his head.
The weapon flew in a spiral motion, and it would have pierced the young man's head if-
Thing!
Between Lian Hyo's head and the spear, a sword appeared that deflected the weapon only about 0, 5 mm from its target.
The owner of the sword was a man in his twenties with long black hair and a sharp face. With his uniform, he had a white coat that had some flower pattern on it.
"An upper disciple?! What are you doing here?!"
The swordsman swung his weapon again, creating an airwave that cut the weapon into two parts, making it disappear.
"I should ask you the same thing. It's been a while, Destin. Or should I call you, Dealmaker?"
The woman said nothing she just stared at him, then with a shriek, she grabbed her head.
When she looked up, the eye socket of the skull was glowing in a blue light and she spoke in a layered voice.
"Who are you?"
The individual smiled, then with trained movements, he sheeted his sword.
"It's good to see you again. You still own me a sword."
The girl stayed silent then her voice was filled with shock and disbelief.
"...Samurai-sama?"

Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)
