Aliferous (adjective): having wings

The green bird clacked its beak with satisfaction.

What a week it’s been! On its journeys, the bird saw a lonely boy on a rooftop, a worried girl studying biology, a studious man admiring flowers, a gang member enjoying baking, and a happy dog meeting a new friend. How many more souls will the bird find?

The freedom of exploration, the opportunities of adventure… the green bird was certainly blessed with amazing wings.

Nestling into its warm nest, it puffed up its little feathers for a nice long nap.

A small worry plagued at the back of its mind.

Every being it had flown over during the past several days found their inspiration. They discovered something meaningful about themselves, about the world, or about another soul.

What solace has the bird found?

With a quick stretch of its little wings, the green bird blinked at the glittering earth beneath its tree.

There were many more creatures down below. They must also being searching for their meaning.

Hmm. Maybe watching others find them is the bird’s own purpose.
