"So, so...this must be it. Let's see...big ass gate, glamorous looking entrance hall...yep! This is definitely it!", Anya wagged her tail.
"Yea, you also missed the big ass sign that says 'KEEP OUT AT ALL COSTS'.", Lass folded his arms. "What the hell kinda secret, treasure filled dungeon has a sign that says 'KEEP OUT AT ALL COSTS'?"
"Secret? Oh no, no this is a super famous dungeon. It's actually quite the tourist attraction. The sign was put up by command of the Reingard and Vardard high councils after the...1000th death, or so?"
"So you're telling me we are entering a place where just about 1000 different people died, some with abilities like flight for easier navigation, and we are just about to head in?"
"Yeah, you got that much right! Now if I can only find the entrance trap...", Anya started to mess around with the entrance.
"My god, mutt. You're dead-ass trying to get both of us to commit suicide, aren't you? What do you think the other people before us who went in didn't have?"
Anya grabbed on a big log. "Oh, that's an easy one to answer!", she raised the log upwards, "Indispensable plot armor baby!"
"We what?", Lass paused.
Before Lass could say another word, Anya smacked the log at the entrance, full force, causing massive spikes to be raised from the ground, all the way up to ceiling of the entrance. The spikes were rusted with the tainted blood of those fallen before them, but their glaring sharpness could still be seen from afar.
Lass gazed at the spikes. "Wow...holy shit.", he said with a straight face.
"Are you just gonna sit there and look at the spikes all day? Come on, let's get going!", Anya rushed inside the dungeon.
"Mutt, wait!"
The two of them quickly dove head first into the dungeon, rushing their way to the treasury in the end. However, despite their rush, Anya's expertise did not fail to shine through once again.
"Nope." Anya grabbed Lass.
"Trap, I suppose?", Lass looked around.
"Eh, kinda. Some traps in the dungeon are either meant to hurt you, or hurt the end price. Look."
Anya pointed to the ground. Several tiles were randomly placed on the ground, each with a different color. Pulling back Lass, both of them took a moment to think about their next move before stepping forward...
"Hmm, what do you think?", Lass asked.
"I'm open to any ideas."
"What do you mean, mutt? You dragged me into this! Where's your expertise?!"
"I mean...it's a pretty colored floor. Do you really expect me to know what it stands for?"
"You've gotta be kidding me...Mutt, I swear to god, if you don't help out, I'm turning right back."
"I mean you could...but the entrance is both locked, and probably overlaid with traps right now. It's a thing dungeons do to lock in whoever steps inside."
Lass paused, fuming with rage and looking at Anya, before taking a long breath and started to calm down, thinking of their next move.
"Maybe we need to step on the most or fewer colors? The pattern doesn't say anything...maybe it's a locals thing?", Lass wondered.
"Maybe...to be completely honest, I'm somewhat seeing doubles right now, big guy."
"Excuse me?"
"I mean...it was only like, a little..."
Lass paused immediately again.
"Anya...did you drink, before coming to the extremely dangerous, life taking dungeon?"
"Only a little! But I guess it did contribute to the excitement of it all..."
"Mutt..."
"Look. I've had like 1 hour of sleep, one bottle of pure Gardardian vodka, two cupcakes and I'm ready to fight god or become one!"
"Gardardian vodka is meant to be served in no less than one shot per person! How are you alive after a 2lt bottle?!"
"Good question! I'm not alive, I'm drunk!"
Lass blacked out and grabbed Anya straight by her face with his entire hand. Before she knew it, Anya had taken flight, all the way to the other side of the room, crashing into a wall and dropping down to the floor.
"Oh wow...that fixed me right up! Thanks big guy! Also, I'm on the other side of the room, no puzzles needed!"
Anya pulled a lever down and a slight cling was heard from the rooms floor.
"Here! This deactivated the trap. No worries, these mechanisms are put in place for people to get out after they got to the end and finished the puzzle!"
"Awfully convenient plot device for a dungeon that has claimed over a thousand lives."
"Come on! Next room ahead!"
With that said, both moved into the next room. It had a multitude of small waterfalls all coming into one from the top, and separating on their way down. Multiple levers could be seen from the points that the waterfalls dropped down to, as well as 4 crystals, lighting up dimly to the waters touch. The door in the middle could be seen having 4 empty slots, waiting to be opened in decades.
"Why do I feel like that wasn't how we were supposed to finish the last puzzle?", Lass folded his arms.
"Don't ask me big guy. Anyhow...this looks simple enough. Get the crystals, shove them in the gate."

"Not so fast, mutt...there must be a catch to-What the hell?!"
Before Lass could bring his opinion on the table, Anya had already began trying to forcefully take the crystals out of their pillars...
"They ain't budging! Come on!"
"You drunk idiot! You'll trigger a trap or something!"
Anya got off the crystal. "Whew...trap or not, I'm not even able to take them off their pillars. If I put more effort into it, it feels like I'll end up crushing them to bits with my overwhelming strength."
"Way to be a narcissist, mutt. Regardless, it's either trap or smash the crystals to smithereens the way you're going at it...we have to do this the normal way."
"Hmm...wait! Screw your puzzles! I've got it!", Anya jumped inside the blank space between the pillars.
Before he could say a word, Lass felt a trample coming from beneath the ground, as dust was raised upwards.
"What the hell are you doing?!", Lass held his balance.
"Nothing, nothing. By the way, you can lift, right?"
"Yes, I can. Very much so. But the crystals aren't that heavy..."
"Oh, I know. But get ready...haiyap!"
Anya tossed the entire pillar upwards from the base, having Lass grab it in the process.
"You smashed the entire pillar?!"
"Hey, fair enough it should work. Now try to put the pillar with the crystal in the correct spot in the gate!"
"You're god damn crazy, mutt. Here." Lass put the crystal inside the gate.
As soon as the crystal got locked into the gate, the pillar holding it got detached from it. Tossing the leftovers to the side, Lass and Anya repeated the same process three more times until all the crystals were in place.
Anya jumped up. "Whew. Gotta work for that treasure! You sure can lift big guy! Good job!", Anya patted Lass's head.
Lass blushed. "Cut that out! I'm not 6, mutt! And anyway...this is again, not the way to go about this! It's one thing to take the crystals and another thing to brake the puzzle by breaking...well the puzzle!"
"Ah, big deal! Do I look like I could give a damn for some cookie-cutter shit some bozo made millennia ago to drag me down? When you hear, "dangerous dungeon" and "legendary treasure" in the same sentence, it's go time!"
"For one, this can possibly be the mentality that got those before us, with additional abilities such as flight, killed. And for two, the main condition for coming in here was that you weren't going to be piss drunk!"
"Oh please, stop going about it! Besides that toss from the other room shook me out of it enough...and look, we're almost there! No biggie!"
Before Anya could say another word a large click was echoed throughout the entire trial room.
"What the hell was that?", Lass looked around.
"Uh oh...", Anya tried to go to the door.
The giant door automatically closed itself.
"Ooh shite.", Anya facepalmed.
Lass looked at Anya with a worried look. "Wait, wait what does 'Ooh, shite' stand for, mutt?!"
"Well in dungeon language, it means we 'messed up'. I can bet you right now, this room had a trigger and a it was a timed trial. Which with all our bickering..."
"We ran out of time...", Lass sighed. "What now?"
"Considering the door closed upon a click, one of two things will happen if said bozo made a stereotypical dungeon. The ceiling will descend, spike or not and we die or the floor opens with spikes on the bottom or not and we...well die."
The giant room's floor started to break, splitting in two and and lowering to the sides, revealing a seemingly bottomless abyss.
"The pit it is.", Anya shrugged.
"Hnga!", Lass pinned his sword to the lowered floor. "Gotcha!", he grabbed Anya by the tail.
Anya blushed red. "Kyah!!! W-What a-are y-you doin b-big guy?!"
"Not letting you drop and die. Even though with all that's happened, I'm considering it."
"N-Not t-to say i-it's bad b-but..."
"But what? You wanna die?", Lass said with a straight face.
Anya blushed whole, crossing her legs. "T-Touching m-my tail is like-!"
Lass blushed back. "What the hell?!"
Out of sheer shock, Lass simultaneously dropped Anya and stop holding on to his sword, sending them both in a free fall. Landing down the bottom of the hole, they both were in surprised that they had even survived.
"J-Jeez...sorry big guy...I should've probably told you that Wolven peoples, or any tailed creatures tail is like...sorry.", Anya blushed. "At least we survived the fall...somehow...", Anya looked around. "Uh big guy?"
Lass slapped Anya's side, before she realized where her friend was at.
"Ghet ofh mhy fhace, mhutt!", Lass mumbled.
"Kyah! What the hell b-big guy?!", Anya jumped up.
Lass blushed. "Look! I didn't-!", he sighed. "Look let's just..."
"I won't say a word...", Anya looked away.
"Neither will I..."
