*BANG*
Wu Guang's fist landed on one of the walls of the array. The force he applied was several times the one that a Spirit realm cultivator could exert. Each plane used its own system to categorize strength, and 'Seven Islands' was no exception. As most of the population was composed of non-cultivators, the plane cultivators counted their strength as equivalent to normal people. The Body realm made a cultivator's strength between 6 and 10 times greater than the one of a grown-up non-cultivator. Later during the Spirit realm, this qi strengthened amount would turn natural for the cultivator and so one would always have that level. But after a cultivator unlocked or awakened his consciousness, one could infuse more qi into an attack and double or even triple that amount.
Wu Guang's consciousness was on a very different level, and his qi amount was also superior. So even after spending a big part of it to fill the empty qi storing accessories, he managed to give a punch with the strength of 40 men!
Even so, the array withstood it, and Wu Guang's fist was repelled. Granted, there were a few small cracks on the wall he had hit, but still, the experiment was a success. And a big success.
The array continued to be active for a few minutes more, before dispersing as the qi that powered it had run out. In any case, Wu Guang confirmed that arrays were usable.
"I can manage to set up arrays of better quality, but it would require a far better qi battery. I wonder if the sect has something? Still, I will need to hide the matter about arrays, so a suitable excuse is needed". Wu Guang's thoughts continued on the line of searching for an excuse or finding another place where he could get something to power up more powerful arrays for the next two hours.
During this time, he also recuperated his qi. As expected from his improved meridians, he did not require to use his breathing technique or anything else to naturally recuperate, which also gave him an enormous advantage over a normal cultivator of his level. After all, with the amount of qi that Wu Guang could hold, a normal cultivator would be forced to use a breathing technique for over three hours.
With his experiments finished, Wu Guang intended to return to the residence, sleep, and then return to the Sect. But as soon as he stood up, Wu Guang paled up and started shaking. A few moments later, blood started seeping from the corner of his mouth. All this was accompanied by a burning pain from inside his body. To be exact, from the fringes of his dantian. "Shit! The Ghostflame is trying to enter my dantian by force!" Wu Guang instantly recognized the source of this and started to take countermeasures.
He sat down crosslegged and using his consciousness looked into his own body. After locating the Ghostflame which indeed was trying to pry open the wall of the dantian, he sent forth a small strand of consciousness with a calming message.

At the same time, he started preparing for the worst case, which was that the Ghostflame would not listen to him. For this, he activated his mind power and started preparing an expulsion spell. If the Ghostflame intended to become hostile, then he would confront it.
After bathing in Wu Guang's qi for around a week, the Ghostflame had fully recovered. Adding that it had fused with the smaller part that was inside the second demon brother, it was currently far stronger than before. Even if Wu Guang used all of his means, he was not sure of winning against it in a direct battle, still, he could not let it freely wreak havoc inside his body.
Luckily the situation was not so bad as he first expected, as the Ghostflame calmed instantly after being reached by his thoughts. It even attempted to communicate back, although being an incomplete being its thoughts or feelings were hard to understand. Still, as the Ghostflame was not turning on him, Wu Guang calmed down and started attempting to decipher what it was trying to tell him.
This process took him almost ten hours, but in the end, both Wu Guang and the Ghostflame established some semblance of contact. Both of them could understand the other, and so Wu Guang found out the reason for such an attack. It turned out that the Ghostflame had decided to submit to Wu Guang, but did not know how to do so. And so it simply decided to enter his dantian by itself. With that clear, Wu Guang met with the trouble to explain a Spiritual flame how to fuse with himself. Something that he wasn't an expert in as well, after all, he was a human being in all of his lives.
Thankfully he knew firsthand how this fusion process ended, and so he formulated a way. Maybe it was the wrong one, but at least Wu Guang was pretty sure of both its safety and success.
First, he used his prepared spell to expel the Ghostflame from his body. After that, he covered it with a protective barrier and absorbed it into his dantian.
Turning his view inwards, Wu Guang checked that the Ghostflame was calm and started slowly dispelling the barrier. As his qi flowed towards the Ghostflame, he sensed a mild discomfort, but thankfully it stopped halfway. "It seems that the Ghostflame has indeed integrated with my qi, I now feel like it's a real part of me!" With such a thought, Wu Guang dispelled the barrier entirely and the Ghostflame entered the qi in his dantian entirely.
A few minutes later, the Ghostflame had fully dispersed and mixed with his qi, and entered the spiritual part of the dantian, the real qi pool of a cultivator. Inside, both the pure qi and the Ghostflame infused one continued to mix for the next hour. Afterward, Wu Guang made a few circulations, bringing the now mixed qi to all of his meridians and pathways. The sensation was a bit strange as if the qi suddenly became both hotter and colder. Although such could be explained by the fact that it was a Yin element flame. With the Yin being the element for coldness and darkness, it was no wonder that even a flame of that element carried some of these properties.

In total Wu, Guang spent 16 hours communicating, fusing, and infusing the Ghostflame. He also used the circulations to heal up the light damage he had suffered from the failed attempt of the flame to fuse by itself.
Then, as he summoned a small wisp of qi on his finger, the result was visible. Qi was normally invisible, and even a cultivator's own qi had no real color and was almost transparent. But Wu Guang's qi now had slight traces of black wisps inside it. Plus, he sensed that his affinity for both the Yin and the Fire elements had improved. After all, his qi now carried their elements.
He would need to make a few tests to check on the real improvement towards his combat capacity, but at least at first glance, the fusion was a success.

When Wu Guang exited the warehouse, it was already past midday of the next day since he entered. Both Li Xia and Lan Yanzhi knew that he was doing something secret and so had not tried to call upon him. Still, both of them were pretty worried and so as soon Wu Guang exited appeared to meet him.
He did not tell them about what he had been doing, in turn, he simply said that he finished what he intended to do. And so, would be returning to the Sect.
Lan Yanzhi was tasked with traveling to 'Flowing Leaves City' and buying whatever herbs she could get her hands on. For this, Wu Guang gave her a thousand gold coins.
While traveling, she would also need to try and find anything related to purple trees. The first task was for Wu Guang's potion experiments. And the second one, as he had planned before, Wu Guang intended to find and obtain the treasures hidden by the Black and White Evil.
Li Xia was also given a pair of tasks. The first of them was to look after the residence and prepare the shop. And the second was something that went without saying, for her to go and buy the Merchant Guild permit. Normally such a permit was very hard to obtain and required recommendations or working for the merchant guild. But obviously, any merchant loved gold and so it was also possible to simply buy it.
Before, Li Xia could not even fathom gathering the required gold coins, but now, Wu Guang had simply given them to her. Still, buying it required connections in any case, but who told that the permit was for Li Xia? Wu Guang had already thought of everything and so decided to use his name for the permit.
Even if the Guild workers wanted to make a fuss, Du Yang should understand that it was better to avoid making trouble. Especially as the only fuss could be a lack of recommendation, and Wu Guang had already asked Elder Shishi to casually notify the Guild of his interest. So, how could the Guild refuse a permit for a store owned by a disciple of the 'Three Hills Sect' and backed by the City Manor?
To make sure that nothing happened to the girl and woman working for him, Wu Guang also prepared a message glyph and a trump card for each of them. This trump card was nothing else than the lighting trap statuettes he had not used before. It took him a few minutes to change the spells to consider Lan Yanzhi and Li Xia as owners and not injure them.
He also gave two fully charged accessories that he had bought to Li Xia, after all, she was not a cultivator and so could not activate the glyph or statuette without one.
After saying his farewells, Wu Guang intended to leave, but suddenly remembered a matter he had thrown on the back of his mind before. It was related to testing if his self-created technique, 'Earth Spiked Shield', could be learned by other people.
Normally a technique would need to be copied unto a scroll to be shared with others, but Wu Guang had a powerful mind power and was also the actual creator. So in place of writing it down, he condensed the needed information into thought and passed it via qi transmission to Lan Yanzhi.
The part of the 'Everchanging' circulation he used for the fusion could be considered the martial circulation of the technique, while all other requirements were included in the technique itself. In short, Lan Yanzhi would simply need to train it as a normal technique.
If she succeeded, then that meant that Wu Guang could basically create his techniques and even skills, and freely pass them around. Something that would obviously improve the combat prowess of the people close to him, after all, his experience surpassed all of the Plane cultivators altogether.
Even such a basic technique of his was an actual fusion of two different ones, and it could be used for both attack and defense. And if trained well, for both at the same time, while spending qi equal to a single activation.

As he returned to the Sect, Wu Guang intended to first find Lang Juan and discuss the matter about the Wildlands merchandise. She could not make any decisions, but she should be able to pass the message to her family. But his plan was thwarted by a message he received from the Discipline Palace Inner elder commanding the gate guards at that moment.
The Discipline Palace elders were the only people outside the Council aware of his current status. For one to allow him to enter and leave the sect freely, and so Wu Guang was not very surprised for them being tasked to pass him the message. Still, the contents of this message broke all of his plans for the day.
The message was from Zhen Mang and consisted of a short phrase "Meet Elder Mo right away, you were challenged to a duel".

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! For writing a story during the month of November, you have unlocked the Royal Road Writathon Participant path!

The Isekai Police (aka "Earth's Advocates")
When evil kings summon kids from Earth to be used and abused as fast-leveling soldiers in their petty wars, the Isekai Police will be there to stop them. A group of ex-isekai protagonists in their own right, they utilize their collective skills to fight for the end of summoning abuse. Artyom Choi, cynical ex-hero and founding member of the organization, is sent to investigate the presence of an Earther on an innocently idyllic World where no summoning has supposedly taken place. His mission: rescue the Earther and figure out how he got there. Dark secrets lie beneath the surface of paradise, however. Will he be able to find this new hero and get out before whatever malicious forces brought them there doom them both? Book 1 has been finished! You can read Book 2 here in parallel or even before Book 1 if you want more TOAL than Artyom! https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/47708/the-isekai-police-hero-summonings-are-overrated This story is meant to be a deconstruction of the isekai genre that references and sometimes pokes fun at various tropes. Artyom isn’t some kid whose goal is to amass Levels or a harem. In fact, all he cares about is protecting other Earthers, and won’t let anything like that get in the way! So expect to see: -A mature main character who still has some flaws. -Character development over the course of the story. -No harems! (see last point) -A vibrant world full of interesting people, deep culture, and mysterious lore that gets uncovered as the story goes on. -Plenty of funny moments along the way! -The presence of a few cliched tropes and stereotypes only for the sake of poking fun at them. So step in, take the first leap, and uncover the next hot take on this expansive genre! My discord here: https://discord.gg/Zc8CHSrxVr

Meeting myself
Canceled (This was my first attempt at a story and while I really enjoyed it, I lost track of the thread of the story. The MC was too op, and except for some fun slice of life moments it just wasn't a very good plot. Anyway, I may come back and re-write this in the future because I really enjoyed the premise, but for now don't expect updates.)I've never met Karma; or at least I think I haven't. Hope, really, because I'm pretty sure she hates me. You see, the thing is, I've always hated flying. When you don't wind up getting molested (cavity searched), then your bags get lost, or you spend the entire flight sitting next to a crying baby. This flight was even worse than any of those things. You see, this flight killed me. I won't spoil it, but lets just say, Karma owes me a few explanations. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, deserves to die like that. Of course, that wasn't the end of my adventure, far from it. But, you'll just have to read the story to learn about that.(This is a mature fiction, so far their hasn't been anything overtly bad (some minor sexual innuendo and drug use), but their will be plenty of blood, gore, sex, all that good stuff... eventually)

"What kind of mother are you? You make all your children miserable to the point of no recovery!" Klaus shouted. Esther grinned."Not all of my children." She laughed uncomfortably. All of the Mikaelson children looked at each other confused. "What do you mean not all of us?" Elijah asked. She smiled at them all. "Oh my sweet children. Did you think that you were it?"
