Inside the Rainbow Pearl's pagoda was equally impressive as from outside. Granted, the first and second floors were pretty standard with dozens of tables set up, it was reasonable if considering that one could enter them directly. As for the latter floors, the group passed them quickly, but even so could observe that the higher the floor, the lesser amount of tables and people. Even more, after the 4th floor, there were only private rooms.

Each of the floors was also decorated in the color scheme corresponding to its name, and the decorations were luxurious. When Wu Guang and company arrived at the 6th floor led by the manager, the latter asked what view would they like. This was also one of the bonuses from the private room floors, that depending on the cabinet, different parts of the surroundings would be seen.

Wu Guang decided to go with a sea view as no one except him knew about the place and so they were led to a cabinet with such a view. The cabinet they were led to was the biggest on the floor, and this could be considered as the manager making amends as well.

After they entered, a waitress appeared and asked for their order. Wu Guang had not visited the place before, but all such places would have a banquet set service, so he directly asked for the best set possible, adding that if there was a difference in cost, he would cover it.

"So generous from you, young master Wu" Kuang Jing said with a stifled laugh as the waitress left

"Heh, such places need one to behave like this or they will look down at you. You all should learn that arrogance is something necessary when dealing with such people. Wise people say that the best behavior is to be arrogant while treating with arrogance, and humble when met with humbleness" Wu Guang said while returning to his usual manner of speech.

"Still, thank you for the invitation. I did not expect for you to casually spend so much money on a casual outing, well, at least that what you said when inviting us" Kuang Jing continued

"Don't worry. Although this amount of money can be considered to be a big wealth for normal people, in my case, this comes from an unexpected fortune... And so, why I should count it when treating brothers that brave danger with me?"

"Young Master is correct. Although this one still has her doubts, why would you invite me?" Suddenly Lan Yanzhi spoke. Actually, from anyone else perspective, Wu Guang's actions were strange. After all, Yan Lanzhi had tried to kill him before and then became his servant. But not only he had been treating her almost on the same level as his teammates, but even indicated that he would be treating her today.

"Hmm? I have already mentioned that you will be my servant only when the situation calls for it. As for now, think of it as a token of appreciation for your work"

"I would not dare to think that I did something deserving it, but... thank you"

Until the food was brought in, Kuang Jing and Lan Yanzhi chatted with Wu Guang. As for Wei and Yuan Taotu, the two fellows were very silent even when discussing life-or-death matters, so it is no wonder that they were even more silent in such a setting.

The food itself was delicious, especially the different dishes prepared from sea products. This obviously could be expected from the location, but even so, not many restaurants could serve 3rd level spirit beast meat as the main dish. Especially as hunting such spirit beasts required the efforts of several peak Spirit realm cultivators.

After eating and drinking, Wu Guang ordered some tea to calmly speak with everyone about his actions for tomorrow. After all, when he arrived at the manor, the best would be to do so while openly accompanied by a few witnesses. Neither of them disagreed, and while the silent pair simply acknowledged their intention, Kuang Jing declared that he would personally kick out anyone in the manor if needed.

This latter declaration was made so seriously that not only Wu Guang, Lan Yanzhi, and Wei grinned in response, but even Yuan Taotu eyelids twitched. This meant that even Yuan Taotu chuckled if Wu Guang's understanding of the fellow's emotions was taken into account.

As Wu Guang and the rest finished, he called for the waitress that had served them to settle the account and give her a tip. But as he was doing so, he noticed someone arriving on the floor. This, someone, made Wu Guang quickly change the words he was saying and order a few more refreshments. The waitress nodded in understanding and left right away.

As for why Wu Guang's suddenly changed his plans, it was because of the two new arrivals to the floor. They were an old man accompanied by a young teen. Both were dressed in expensive and gaudy robes and had an air of absolute disdain for everyone.

This two were none other than Chun Zemin and his grandson, Chun Fang. Wu Guang had indeed never seen Chun Zemin before, but he had briefly clashed with the latter's grandson during the Sect entrance tests. This Chun Fang had yelled something about having an important grandfather and it was indeed so. Wu Guang could not determine that it was indeed Chun Zemin, but considering the surname and his cultivation on the 4th level of the Soul realm, it was practically confirmed.

Wu Guang's companions were surprised about the sudden change in plans, but Wu Guang explained via qi transmission before motioning them to sit back.

He also asked Lan Yanzhi to go outside, locate the Elders and bring them inside. As for the reason, he told her to only say "Chun Zemin". He also did not forget to pass her 10 gold coins as it was impossible to enter the restaurant without paying the deposit. Well, impossible for everyone considered below the esteemed guest status.

Each of the cabinets had a set of concealment runes and so it should be impossible to eavesdrop on the conversations inside. Still, Wu Guang had a lot of means to do so, after all, mind power was closely related to advanced runes and formations. Based on this, it was understandable that basic runes like the ones present here could be easily surmounted with mind power, even if they did not require it to be set up.

He could not tell the rest about what he intended to do, so he simply explained that he wanted to see if this Chun family will meet someone.

And so while Wu Guang continued to chat randomly with Kuang Jing and the rest, he was controlling his mind power as to hear what was happening in the cabinet that the Chun pair had entered.

Regretfully the topics that they spoke about were unrelated to anything that Wu Guang wanted to know. But even so, he managed to find out a few interesting bits of information.

First, Chun Zemin was to meet someone important here in a few minutes.

And second, his grandson would be leaving the restaurant to meet some friends shortly.

Although Wu Guang could not be one hundred percent sure of Chun Zemin being the one behind everything, it was still a very high probability of being so. In such a case, why not make a few preparations?

As he thought of different ideas, Wu Guang was interrupted by the arrival of Elder Di and Lan Yanzhi.

"I am delighted to take on young friend Wu Guang's invitation" Elder Di declared before entering the cabinet. He did it loud enough for almost half of the floor to hear him. Although the concealment runes did not permit one to hear what was happening inside a cabinet, they did allow sounds from outside to enter. So the elder's intentions were clear, he wanted to inform Chun Zemin.

He also send a qi tranmission to Wu Guang

"Elder Yanshi remained outside to monitor the situation. Let's see what will be Chun Zemin's reaction"

"Understood. Elder Di, I think this Chun Zemin will meet someone here, as when they walked I overheard that his grandson will leave shortly"

"Good, in such case..."

After that Elder Di sent a qi transmission to Wu Guang's teammates. He did not include Wu Guang in it, but the latter could intercept any qi transmissions below the sage realm without effort, so how could he not hear it?

"Young friends, I have a small task for you. You can decline, but this may help Wu Guang. Don't answer, simply do it if you agree. After the young person identified as Chun Zemin's grandson leaves, follow him and see if you can provoke an altercation at some point. Don't specifically target him, search for a suitable reason and location. You can act however you want, I will take responsibility for anything that happens"

Elder Di specifically said to not answer as qi transmission was something available only starting from the 5th level of the Spirit realm, and so if they wanted to answer, they would need to do it verbally. And this could alert Wu Guang, still, unbeknownst to Elder Di, Wu Guang had heard everything. In any case, he agreed to such a way of operation, after all, his idea was pretty similar.

Unsurprisingly a few minutes later that was spent in idle talk, the three of them excused themselves citing that they wanted to explore the night district a bit. Wu Guang had noticed that Chun Fang was leaving the floor right at this moment, but did not show anything on his face and let them go after a few pleasantries.

"Hmm, young friend Wu Guang... You seem to have guessed something?" Elder Di asked after noting that Wu Guang's eyes suddenly turned serious.

"I see that nothing can be hidden from the Elder. I indeed have guessed that the three of them left with some kind of idea on their mind. I wonder, could it be related to that Chun Fang?"

"Yes, but don't worry, Elder Yanshi will follow them"

"Thank you. As for us, I think Elder Di plans to see who is the one meeting with Chun Zemin?"

"Right"

In truth, Wu Guang's change was unrelated to what he said to Elder Di. The change was because of the words that Chun Zemin and the waitress near him had just exchanged

"Master Chun, Lord Lu Shuren passed that he will be here shortly"

"Understood. Bring out the best wine and something to go along with it. Then you are dismissed until called"

Wu Guang's grew serious because of the name Lu Shuren. This was a name he knew very well, after all, Lu Shuren was the captain of the district guards. And he was also the man who two years ago notified Wu Guang about his family being killed.
