《Travels along the Astral Road》Good Deal

As Wu Guang made the reason for his visit known, an elder appeared right away and listened to Wu Guang's request. As one could guess the main part was a container for the orb. But he also wanted to request a few vials and bottles to store and carry around potions and poisons. As he could not actually tell about the orb but the dimensions and specifications were already thought off by him. And so it was not hard for even a disciple, not to say an elder to understand.
He had also visited personally as his request was a bit special, he wanted everything to be made from the 'Heaven's Rock' he would provide. Normally such objects would be made from a special kind of crystal called 'Earth-Fire Glass' as the vial he got from Elder Chen. But as he had already discussed and confirmed with Elder Mo, the 'Heaven's Rock' effect was pretty similar and in some cases, it would be even better as it was far more durable.
His request was quickly analyzed and the elder confirmed its viability. The price would need to be discussed as it would involve both of the Halls but luckily the work required was not so hard and could be completed even by the advanced apprentices, so it would be not so steep. At least that was what the elder told Wu Guang. So after confirming that he could wait, the elder excused himself and went towards the back of the store floor to discuss the price and times.
The first floor of the store was actually barren and did not have anything on display so in truth if not for the sign outside and the storefront that occupied most of the room he was in right now, Wu Guang could have never guessed it to be one.
The elder returned after a quarter of an hour, which Wu Guang had spent silently analyzing the contents of the new techniques he had bought. As he was approached, Wu Guang snapped out from the state he was in and turned to meet the elder.
The price was indeed not so steep as expected as it would be only about 200 points for everything he requested. So even if taking into account that he was providing the materials it was pretty fair. They had also calculated the amount of 'Heaven's Rock' needed to be about 20 pounds but to be sure the elder confirmed if Wu Guang had 25 pounds. The extra pounds could be used to improve his idea and make the container far more durable and resistant. As Wu Guang indeed intended to use the container a lot, after all, the orb's effects were too beneficial to be excluded from their normal cultivation he took out half of the 'Heaven's Rock' he had left and passed it to the elder for the latter to confirm the quality.

Taking one of the rock pieces the elder again excused himself and went towards the back room, but returned far more quickly than expected. And in place of an explanation, quickly ushered Wu Guang towards the door he had just used. The assumption of it leading towards a backroom was indeed correct as Wu Guang found himself in a room similar in size to the entrance one but this one full of desks and shelves. The desks were mostly occupied by elders and disciples who either worked with documents or were drawing something. While the shelves were full of different items, boxes, and materials.
The reason for such a sudden call was quickly discovered as Wu Guang was approached by another elder which judging from the armband was part of the Refining Hall.
"Young friend, excuse me the question, but do you have any more 'Heaven's Rock' apart of the one you meant as materials?"
Albeit surprised by the question, Wu Guang still answered honestly
"I do have some more. About the same quantity"
After that a few more questions about where he found it and how much did he pay for it followed, which were also answered by Wu Guang honestly as he did not have anything to hide. After all, this information would be easy to find out from his mission report.
In the end, the matter turned out to be simple interest from the Refining Hall as the rock was of very good quality and if it could be bought somewhere, they would like to do so.
Hearing this Wu Guang mentioned that he had just exchanged a big amount of it in the mission hall and albeit he did not know from where the direct request was, he supposed that the Hall could track it down, after all, only they should be able to work the material.
Wu Guang thought for a bit and tried to take advantage of the fact he had some of the rock at hand which he did not need at the moment. And because of the interest from the refiner elder or that he clearly answered all the questions, a generous agreement was offered to him.
So generous that if he had known, Wu Guang would have not exchanged the other part of the 'Heaven's Rock' at the price of 5 points per pound he got from extorting Elder Mo to post a mission for it. This was because the refining hall offered to buy the stone for 10 points a pound!
Considering that he had only spent 10 gold coins for a full shi, it was like converting every gold coin into almost 200 contribution points. Something extremely profitable, especially when compared to the sect store prices. After all, a contribution point was equivalent to a silver coin or so if the prices were compared.

Regretfully he had sold most of it for less but in truth even so he had obtained 500 points for the 100 pounds he already exchanged, which was basically obtaining them for near 70 silver coins.
After he calculated this Wu Guang dampened merchant mood improved, so he made a counteroffer to the elder. The offer was simple and only entailed the fact that he did not want to bother with the mission hall at all. Basically, he would give them the 25 leftover pounds as payment for his request and the halls could decide the matter between themselves.
This was accepted right away and even got better as the elder considered such a deal to be not honest and added a receipt for 50 points worth of merchandise or services from the Refining Hall.
After confirming that the request would be finished and delivered to his residence in three days, Wu Guang thanked both of the elders who spoke with him and excused himself.
As Wu Guang walked back to the residence, he internally thanked the heavens for granting him such a lucky streak of ideas. Things like buying the rocks and keeping some extra apart from which he intended to use up. Especially lucky was the fact that he would not need to think about gaining the 200 points that he otherwise would need to. Even if it was not so hard considering that there were a few competitions on the billboard he checked today that could get him the points for this.
Still, now he was free from doing so and as he had a few dozen points left which should be enough for his food expenses over the remaining days in the sect. Wu Guang could fully concentrate on training and cultivation only.
He arrived at the residence after a short stop on the way to buy a stack of packed meals that should be enough for the dinner. Inside, after confirming he was alone and leaving the food on the table he walked towards the training area, intending to use the time left before dinner to train.
Wu Guang had decided to leave both of the techniques for the last two days. Days which he intended to use to not only master the new ones but also run a few trials of the full 'Flaming' set he had now gathered. After considering that his next week entailed training, spars, and classes, he would possibly not have much free daylight time to train and so for today and the time he could scrounge he had to dedicate it towards improving his senses.
For now, he would be able to advance only a single level of each of the seven senses as this was both the limit and the requirement of the 4th Spirit level.
Roughly speaking the 7 senses could be explained as sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste, qi, and intuition.
The first five were common, after all, they were the basic senses that any living creature to some point had. Still, thinking of them to be only that was a mistake.
Taking for example smell, it in reality did not only entail that one smell would become better at each level. In truth, it would let the cultivator discern the individual smells around him. Even by type, distance, origin, and even danger. This example could also serve to illustrate the others like in the case for sight, several effects apart from the increase in range could be trained. Things like dark vision, qi-vision, or seeing through common materials.
As for the sixth sense or qi sense, it's something unique to cultivators and qi attuned lifeforms. And normally used to scan and find any qi disturbances around. The qi sense would be also the easiest one to understand and advance for a cultivator. After all, the first thing that a mortal did to start the path of the cultivation was to sense the qi. And the qi sense simply expanded on this concept. By applying that feeling to the qi around a zone determined by the consciousness and sense level to find or feel any changes in them. Thus finding traps, cultivators, treasures, or basically, anything that contained or affected the qi.
In total contrast to the previous, the 7th sense is the hardest and most mysterious of all. It could be described as a type of intuition but actually, it was a mix of it with premonition, other senses, consciousness, and even one's experiences. The result was a sense that by itself could only warn the cultivator of danger. Still, if applied and trained correctly it could lead towards the ability to see the future and accurately predicting the actions of any opponent. Regretfully such abilities were very rare as one would need to be extremely talented and dedicate enough time to train it. As well as be proficient enough in the required areas.
In any case, even the bare sense if developed would be useful to cultivators, especially for things like deciding when and where to breakthrough. Or for deciding to evade or confront a situation.

This is a story of a monarch more ancient than time itself defying the absolution of death in his eternal strive to accomplish his primordial goal.
